Ongoing Torture Results in Severe Mental Trauma at Guangdong Province Women's Prison

February 24, 2013 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) Today on the Minghui website, I saw a comprehensive report from December 2, 2012, about the torture of Ms. Wu Zhujun in the Women's Prison in Huidong County, Guangdong Province. The cruel methods used in that prison caused Ms. Wu to suffer a mental disorder. I want to impart all I know about the conditions inside this prison.

Cruel Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners

I suffered inhuman torture when I was in incarcerated in the Women's Prison of Guangdong Province. One common torture tactic is sleep deprivation, which goes on for several months.

In the the summer, especial when it is hot, Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to drink water or use the restroom. When they are menstruating, practitioners are not provided with menstrual pads or other such materials, so the blood leaks through their clothing.

In winter, practitioners were not allowed to wear heavy coats and were forced to stand in the cold throughout the day. If a practitioner was unable to eat much for three days, she would be brutally force-fed. Also, criminal inmates were ordered to harass and beat practitioners whom they felt weren't complying with prison regulations or who refused to renounce Falun Gong.

A group of criminals monitored practitioners every day, everywhere in the prison, including when they went to the restroom. They had to turn in a written report about each practitioner daily.

In 2010, I spoke to Ms. Wu Zhujun, she said that she experienced the same torture and abuse as I did. She refused to renounce Falun Dafa, so the guards intensified the harassment and torture.

Ms. Wu Imprisoned and Tortured

On September 23, 2007 three practitioners—Ms. Wu Zhujun, Ms. Xie Peizeng and Ms. Zheng Guiyou—were arrested and taken to the county detention center for telling people about Falun Dafa. Ms. Wu was illegally sentenced to a four-year prison term. During those years she was tortured and injected with unknown drugs. She became mentally traumatized and no longer speaks coherently, and she cannot eat without assistance.

Ms. Wu was taken home on December 1, 2012, because she could no longer take care of herself.

Guards in the brainwashing center in the Guangdong Province Women's Prison include Xiang Qian and Tang Xingxing (or Tang Jinging). Tang is instrumental in the mistreatment of practitioners in an effort to force them to renounce Falun Dafa.
