(Minghui.org) Mr. Jiang Dexin, Ms. Meng Qingjie and Mr. Zhai Hui were detained for eight months prior to being put on trial in Shenhe District Court on December 25, 2012. Two Beijing lawyers pleaded not guilty for the three practitioners, while Mr. Jiang and the two other practitioners disclosed the torture they had suffered.

Ms. Meng, who is in her 60's, had been severely tortured. She was emaciated and could not walk by herself. Ms. Meng and Mr. Zhai needed assistance when they were taken to the court.

Mr. Jiang told the court that a black bag was put over his head when he was arrested, and that he was beaten for 24 hours. Two of his teeth were knocked out and his other teeth were loosened. Mr. Jiang showed one of the teeth that had come out to those present in the courtroom. He wanted to show the scars on his body as well, but the judge did not allow him and then prevented him from speaking further.

Mr. Jiang's lawyer stated that his client was innocent and had not partaken in any unlawful act to “sabotage the implementation of the State's laws by utilizing evil cults.” The lawyer also stated that Falun Gong is not a cult, and that Mr. Jiang had not done anything to harm society.

Mr. Jiang was taken from his parents-in-law's home at Zhangdang Street, Dongzhou District, Fushun in Liaoning Province by officers from the Shenyang Domestic Security Division and Dongzhou Police Station. He was secretly taken to a place where several police took turns to beat and shock him for 24 hours. He lost consciousness several times and his body was covered in bruises. Mr. Jiang was then taken to the Tiexi District Legal System Eduction Center, which is run by the Politics and Law Committee and is located in Langjiang Village, Zhaijia Township, Tiexi District, Shenyang in Liaoning. After being detained there for about ten days, officials from the Shenyang Domestic Security Division passed his case to the Huigong Police Station in the Shenhe District, Shenyang and was officially documented. Mr. Jiang was arrested on April 15, 2012, but his case was filed on April 25, 2012.

Ms. Meng from Jinpeng Park in Shenyang was taken from her home by officers from the Shenhe District Police Department and Benxi Police Department on April 15, 2012. The police searched her home and confiscated a laptop, desktop computer, printer, Dafa books and other Falun Gong materials.

Mr. Zhai Hui was taken from the front of his apartment building by Ren Jie from the Binhe Police Station in Shenhe District and other officers at about 9 a.m. on April 15, 2012. His home was forcibly opened and ransacked that afternoon. Those present included deputy chief Zhou from the Shenhe Domestic Security Division, police officer Gao, chief Cuining from the Binhe Police Station, local police officer Ren Feng and six others.

Mr. Jiang and Mr. Zhai were held in the Shenhe Detention Center, while Ms. Meng was held in the Shenyang First Detention Center.
