(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang] Ms. Zhang Xiaoping Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiaoping was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Tianshan Police Department on December 13, 2013, for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. She is being held at the Urumqi Shuimogou Detention Center.

2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Rui Kerong Detained

Ms. Rui Kerong was arrested and taken to the Changchun Women's Prison.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Kang Youyuan Detained

Mr. Kang Youyuan was transferred to Dongxihu Detention Center on December 13, 2013.

4. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Shumei Arrested

Ms. Sun Shumei was arrested at home by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Bazhou City Police Department and Nanmeng Town Police Station on the morning of December 17, 2013. Officers confiscated a computer, two printers, two flash drives, two cell phones, Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and approximately 9,000 yuan in cash. She was taken to the Domestic Security Division and released that evening.

5. [Jian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Jimei Detained

Ms. Sun Jimei was recently held at the Jian Detention Center.

6. [Huangchuan County, Henan Province] Mr. Zhou Jinsong Detained

Mr. Zhou Jinsong was arrested at home by Chen Lin, captain of the Huangchuan City Police Department Domestic Security Division, and plainclothes officers from the Huaibin County Police Station on November 22, 2013. They confiscated a car from his home. Mr. Zhou was taken to the Huaibin County Detention Center.

7. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Jui Yuxi Sentenced to Five-Year Prison Term

Mr. Jui Yuxi was sentenced to a five-year prison term in September 2012. He was taken to Tangshan Jidong Prison.

8. [Shanghai] Two Practitioners Detained

Mr. Ding Xinjun and Mr. Huang Chao were taken to a prison on December 18, 2013.

9. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Miao Fengmei, Ms. Zhao Guiying and Ms. Bai Guoying were arrested by officers from the Mingshan District Pianling Police Station on the morning of December 20. They were held at a detention center for ten days.

10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Su Xiangmin Detained

Ms. Su Xiangmin was recently arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was first taken to the Nanyingfang Police Station in the Qiaoxi District and now is being held at the Shisanli Detention Center.

11. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Hua, Ms. Liu Yanjie, Ms. Liu Yumei, and Ms. Zhao Suqin were arrested by officers from the Xinbin Town Domestic Security Division and Pingdingshan Town Police Station on December 19, 2013. They were taken to the Fushun Detention Center the next day. Mr. Anping, a non-practitioner they had hired as a driver, was also arrested and taken to the detention center.

Ms. Liu Guiqin was arrested on December 19, 2013, for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. She is being held at the Lishui District Baima Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Wu Yuping was arrested by officers from the Gongren Police Department on the afternoon of December 17, 2013, for talkng to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was transferred to the Tieling City Detention Center.
