(Minghui.org) For the past several months, Falun Gong practitioners in New York have been gathering in Union Square to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) ongoing persecution of Falun Gong and to collect signatures to support the global petition initiated by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH).

The petition calls on the United Nations to help stop the forced organ harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

A Chinese tourist from Shandong Province, China praised the practitioners' efforts to expose the Chinese regime's crimes against humanity.

“Falun Gong practitioners are doing a good job,” he said. “In China, we don't have access to information about atrocities committed by the Chinese regime, as it blocks this type of information from getting in or out of China. The CCP is so afraid of people knowing the truth!”

After listening to a practitioner's explanation about Falun Gong and the persecution, he read several more informational display boards.

“Nowadays, there is only a handful of people who believe in the CCP,” said a student from China. “Although students are regularly urged to join the Party and its affiliated organizations, few see the value of doing so. None of my classmates believe the Party. I came to United States to afford myself some distance from it.”

A local resident signed the petition then told a practitioner, “If people refuse to buy these illegally obtained organs from China, the country's whole organ trafficking industry would collapse. You should share this organ harvesting information with hospitals around the world.”

Some people have expressed a keen interest in learning Falun Gong. One young man has been practicing the Dafa exercises in Union Station for over a month, and has even read Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong. He now assists the practitioners in collecting signatures for the DAFOH petition.
