(Minghui.org) From October 14 to 17, the Falun Gong Club at Columbia University in New York City held a photo exhibition on campus, introducing the spread of Falun Gong in the world and exposing the brutal persecution in China.
Many students and faculty stopped to view the display. This is the fifth year that practitioners held the photo exhibition on campus. Mr. Lin, the organizer, expressed that the purpose of this event is to let more people know about the persecution, especially the facts of organ harvesting in China.
Ms. Stephanie Gross, a student affairs officer on campus, helped organize the event. She has also invited practitioners to give presentations at other events. She said the photo exhibition offers a good chance for people to learn more about the persecution of Falun Gong and about the practice.
In four days, practitioners collected 540 signatures condemning the CCP's organ harvesting atrocities.
There are a lot of Chinese students on campus. Many of them learned the truth about Falun Gong at the exhibition. During this event, one hundred and eighty Chinese students decided to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its associated organizations.
A few Chinese students didn't believe that the brutality of the persecution is real. A practitioner told them his own experiences of being persecuted. He told them that some of his family members are still being jailed because of their Falun Gong belief. One of his family members has been jailed for 11 years. He said that the persecution is more severe than one can imagine. The students were shocked. Some of them signed the petition, condemning the persecution, and some decided to quit the CCP.
