(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 37 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] 12 Practitioners Held at the Dayi Detention Center

A dozen practitioners were arrested by officers from the Yibin City 610 Office at noon on October 22, 2013. They were taken to a brainwashing center. Although not all of the names of the practitioners are known, the following names were obtained: Ms. Liu Liangying, Ms. Chen Huijun, Ms. Huang Zhaochun, Ms. Guo Shuyun, Ms. Zeng Xianhui, Ms. Zhang Shifen, Ms. Guo Shirong, Mr. Zhang Xinjian, Mr. Qiu Wenhua, Mr. Wu Honglin, Mr. Wu Shuhua, and Ms. Chen Xinyin. There are currently 12 practitioners being held at the Yibin City Dayi Detention Center.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Juhua was arrested by officers from the Huangpo Domestic Security Division on October 12, 2013, and taken to the Wuchang District Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Qi Lin and Ms. Cai were arrested by officers from the local Domestic Security Division and Police Station on the morning of October 22, 2013. Their homes were ransacked. They are being held at the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Wang Xiufeng, in her 60s, was arrested at home by officers from the Liangxiang Police Station on the morning of October 25, 2013. She was taken to the Anzhuang Brainwashing Center.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cao Xiurong Taken to the Liuji Brainwashing Center

Ms. Cao Xiurong was arrested at home by officers from the Xinzhou District Zhucheng Street 610 Office and Community Office on the evening of October 23, 2013. She was taken to the Liuji Brainwashing Center.

5. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tan Peifen and Ms. Zheng Chuzhen Arrested

Ms. Tan Peifen and Ms. Zheng Chuzhen were arrested in September 2013. They were taken to the Shantou City Brainwashing Center and have not been released.

6. [Bazhong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhao Gangxian Arrested

Mr. Zhao Gangxian was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Enyang District Police Department on the afternoon of October 8, 2013. Officers confiscated a picture of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and truth-clarification discs of Falun Gong.

7. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ge Shurong Arrested

Ms. Ge Shurong was arrested at home on the morning of October 25, 2013.

8. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Shi Bingjun Held at Wuxi No. 1 Detention Center

Mr. Shi Bingjun, in his 40s, was arrested on his way home by officers from the Donggang Security Division on the evening of October 10, 2013. Officers ransacked his home and confiscated his computer and printer. He is being held at the Wuxi No. 1 Detention Center.

9. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ten Practitioners Held at the Jilin City Detention Center

Ten practitioners are being held at the Jilin City Detention Center. Names for two practitioners are not available.

Officers from the Changyi Police Department arrested Ms. Deng Xiaobo, 49, from the Changyi District; Mr. Li Dequan, 55, from Jiaohe City; and Mr. Li Dexiang, 50, from Jiaohe City.

Officers from the Chuanying Police Department arrested Mr. Meng Fanyi, 49, from Shulan City; Mr. Wang Zhenguang, 48, from the Chuanying District; Ms. Ma Chi, 45, from Chuanying District Huanxi County; Mr. Sun Changsheng, 36, from Dehui City; and Ms. Che Pingping, 40, from the Nanguang District, Changchun City.

10. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Lu Bagen Sentenced to Seven and a Half Years in Prison

Mr. Lu Bagen was sentenced to a seven and a half year prison term by the 610 Office and Jingkou District Court on September 18, 2013.

11. [Chongqing] Ms. Peng Shibi and Mr. Peng Shigui Arrested and Home Ransacked

Ms. Peng Shibi, 62, was arrested on the morning of January 26, 2013, when she was talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to the Geleshan Police Station and her home was ransacked. She was later transferred to the Shapingba District Baiheling Detention Center. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor on July 17, 2013. She is still being held in the Baiheling Detention Center.

Mr. Peng Shigui, 49, was arrested at home by officers from the Shapingba District Police Department and Sha District Police Station on the evening of September 6, 2013. Officers ransacked his home. He is being held at the Baiheling Detention Center.

12. [Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Mingyue and Her Family Arrested

Ms. Yang Mingyue and her Family were arrested by officers, including Li Hailong, from the Domestic Security Division of Jiagedaqi District Police Department on the evening of October 21, 2013. Officers confiscated their computer, printer, bankbooks, and cash.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Twenty Practitioners Arrested

Twenty practitioners employed at the Shenyang Xiongshi Modern Art and Design Institute as president and teachers were arrested by officers from the Huanggu Police Department on the evening of October 23, 2013. None of them has been released yet. They are" Mr. Guo Baoshi, Mr. Xu Juntao and his son Mr. Xu Zheyu, Ms. Chen Xiu, Mr. Dong Zhiyu, Mr. Kang Ning, Mr. Sun Zhe, Ms. Qi Baidan, Ms. Song Jingjing, Ms. Sun Zhaodan, Mr. Xiao Jianfeng, Ms. Zhao Yanan, and Mr. Ba Guannan and his mother Ms. Wang.

Mr. Sun Xiangang and Mr. Li Bingling were arrested at Mr. Sun's home by a dozen officers from the Gaotang County Domestic Security Division and the Chiping Domestic Security Division at noon on October 25, 2013. Officers confiscated a computer, a printer, printing paper, and Falun Gong books.
