(Minghui.org) In June 2000, two fellow practitioners and I decided to face the persecution directly. We went to Beijing. Standing in Tiananmen Square, we held up high a banner that read “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” We shouted with all of our strength: “Falun Dafa is good! Clear Teacher's name, clear Falun Dafa's name!”

Practitioner A also shouted, “We are Fa guardians in the human world!” When I heard those words, I was startled: I had not thought of myself as a Fa guardian until that moment.

Immediately, policemen from all over the square rushed towards us, and a police car also arrived.

We were holding the banner together. When the police came, they grabbed the banner, pulled practitioner A to the side, and pushed me and the other practitioner into the police car. Practitioner A shouted: “We came together!”

When we arrived at the Qianmen Police Station, we refused to tell them our names or addresses. We were soon released and returned home in a dignified manner.

Through Fa study, I learned that prior to July 20, 1999, Teacher had pushed disciples to their highest positions in other realms. In my understanding, when practitioner A had shouted, “We are Fa guardians in the human world!” he was in a godly state.

Teacher said:

“What could human beings possibly do to gods? If there were no outside factors, would humans dare to do anything to gods?” (“In Fa-Rectification Your Thoughts Have to be Righteous, Not Human” from The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)

One morning, I had just left home when suddenly eight to nine plainclothes security agents attacked me, took my keys, and broke into my home. They took my computer, printer, Falun Dafa books, and other materials. They confronted me, “What are these?” I answered, “That's my personal property.”

They tried to arrest me. I said: “I cultivate Falun Dafa, and I abide by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I did not commit any crime, and I am not going anywhere.” They dragged me out to the backyard. I repeatedly shouted: “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!”

A car came over. The agents picked me up and pushed me into the car. They then took me to a police station. I refused to cooperate with them and refused to get out of the car. I said: “I did not commit any crime. I will not get out of the car: I will go home.” The police then dragged me out of the car. I shouted at the top of my lungs: “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!”

They dragged me to a small room, handcuffed my hand to an iron chair, and began interrogating me. I refused to answer any questions. Instead, I clarified the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution to them.

I continuously sent forth righteous thoughts and repeated Teacher's words:

“Imprisoned as you are,
don’t be sorrowful or sad
Carry on with righteous thoughts and actions,
and the Fa is with you
Calmly reflect on the attachments you have
Remove your human thoughts
and evil will naturally die out”

Looking within to find out why I was being persecuted, I found two obvious attachments: jealousy and lust.

Jealousy: I had been upset with a fellow practitioner because of his actions. I had not looked within and only saw his shortcomings. One day, I did not maintain my xinxing and blamed him. When I finally searched within, I realized that the fellow practitioner had wanted to do well, and he had considered his actions based on the Fa and the needs of our local group. I realized that I was jealous of how upright he was. Measuring myself with the standard of Dafa, I saw my shortcoming. I had a tendency towards jealousy. When it flared up, I was not considerate of others, nor did I treat them with kindness; sometimes I hurt others. I felt ashamed.

Lust: Recently, I had been watching a TV series. I knew it was not good to watch TV, but had not mustered up the will to stop myself. The program contained many sexually oriented scenes. When I meditated afterwards, scenes from the show kept preventing me from entering a state of tranquility.

Cultivation is serious, and jealousy and lust are taboos for a cultivator. The old forces had seized upon my shortcomings, using them as an excuse to persecute me.

When I became aware of these attachments, I immediately rectified my mind and sent forth this righteous thought: “I completely negate old forces' arrangement.”

I also added what Teacher had taught us:

“'I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them...'” (“Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference”)

I held these thoughts in my mind: “I am a Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period. Even if I have shortcomings in cultivation, I will rectify those within the Fa. No evil is qualified to test me. My mission is saving people. The police have to release me unconditionally. The Dafa books I own contain the supreme Fa, and the computer, printer, and truth clarification materials are used to save people. These are the most upright, best things and absolutely cannot be used as 'evidence' to persecute me. Persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners is a crime, and believing in Dafa is not a crime. They have to release me without any conditions.”

The interrogator said: “You don't have an advanced education. You are a housewife, and you made so many beautiful materials. I can't help but admire you. I want to release you, but look at all those materials from your home. How can I?”

I replied: “These are the most upright, best things, which are used to save people. They are not so-called 'evidence.' I have to go home.”

He said, “I am afraid you will not be able to go home.”

I replied: “My Teacher's words count, but yours do not. I have to go home.”

I looked straight into his eyes. I knew it was not a human being persecuting another human. I said to the evil being in the other dimension: “Falun Dafa practitioners risk their lives to distribute truth-clarification materials. They hope that people will learn the truth, so if the disaster comes, they will know how to save themselves. Falun Dafa is Buddha Fa, and Dafa practitioners are here to save people. If you arrest Dafa practitioners and prevent them from saving lives, your sin is enormous. Dafa practitioners are beyond the Three Realms; they are not within your jurisdiction.”

He asked, “Then to whose jurisdiction do you belong?”

I replied, “My Teacher's.” He then left the room.

Around 5 p.m., the director of the Domestic Security Division came in. He asked: “You kept shouting 'Falun Dafa is good!' Why?”

I said: “I have only one purpose: to let people with predestined relationships hear of the Buddha Fa and be saved, and that includes you.”

He said, “If you sign your name, you can be released.” I refused.

He then said, “You do not have to sign the interrogation document, but you do have to sign for the personal items that we took from your home.”

I replied: “I am not going to sign anything, because I am innocent. You should return all the items to me.”

He countered, “If you do not sign, you cannot go.”

I thought: “I'd better sign and leave immediately. If I do not go, they might intensify the persecution.” Right away I realized that it was not a righteous thought—Teacher is in charge.

Teacher told us:

“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

This is Fa, and I should abide by the Fa. I let go of my human heart and refused to sign my name.

The policeman said, “You wanted to go, and now we are letting you go, but you refuse to go?”

I replied, “I will go.” After a while, since they saw that I was not going to sign my name, they let me go. Thus, I again joined the Fa-rectification current.

In retrospect, during the conversation with the policeman, when I had said, “Dafa practitioners are beyond the Three Realms; they are not within your jurisdiction,” I thought that might have been a god-like state.

Teacher said:
