My Daughter Grew Up with the Principles from Zhuan Falun

November 12, 2013 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Dafa, my daughter was in middle school. The constant slander and lies about Falun Dafa from her teachers prevented her from reading Zhuan Falun. Nevertheless, I taught her the Falun Dafa principles and how to apply them in her everyday life. I told her not to avoid her school chores, even though other students did; to go to school early to help clean the snow on a snow day; to help clean the classroom the first day of school; to respect public property like her own; to not avoid her duties and help others; and to study hard.

Through studying Zhuan Falun , I realized that some of the bad trends in society had a negative influence on her. She was not able to focus on her studies. When I talked to her if an opportunity presented itself, I shared with her what I had learned from Falun Dafa and explained to her the difference between right and wrong. One day she asked me, “Mother, how come you know so much?” I told her, “I do not know that much. There is much more to learn in Zhuan Falun and what I told you is only what I have understood. You should take time to read the book, you can learn more than me, and have more wisdom.”

Gradually with my help, she was able to study hard. She was willing to help others and donate her savings for a good cause. She was sympathetic and considerate. When she graduated from middle school, she went to the best high school in the county. Even her teacher was surprised that she did so well.

When she was in high school, one day I was taken to a forced labor camp because of my belief in Falun Dafa. I wrote to her to encourage and console her. After I was released, I was constantly under surveillance and unable to go outside to clarify the facts. She took over this work. One day she came home and told me, “People all call Falun Gong practitioners 'the Tiananmen Mothers' and those who know the truth about the persecution respect you a lot.” She also took the time to read Zhuan Falun and Nine Commentaries on Communist Party.

During the past years, she helped us submit articles to the Minghui website, publish statements about people who quit the CCP, and make Shen Yun DVDs.

When she took the college entrance exam, it contained questions that slandered Falun Dafa, but she didn't answer them. When her classmates asked her if she was worried about her teacher wanting to talk to her, she answered, “The teacher wasn't there when the self immolation took place in Tiananmen. He doesn't know for sure what really happened.”

After she graduated from college, she found a job in a company that was managed by a person from Hong Kong. She got along with other employees and never took what wasn't hers. One of the relatives of her boss gave her a hard time constantly. She was able to face the conflicts calmly and resolve them peacefully.

Her boss was touched by her behavior and asked her, “How come you are so different from other young people these days?” She said, “I learned from my mother.” Her boss then asked, “What does you mother do? I would like to meet her when she's here.” She said, “My mother is an ordinary farmer who practices Falun Dafa.” Her boss said, “Please bring me a book of Falun Dafa, I want to read it.” When she came home and told me this story, I gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun to take to her boss.

I am so happy that my daughter could validate Falun Dafa and that her boss was saved as a result.
