(Minghui.org) On October 12, the Divine Land Marching Band in Korea, consisting of local Falun Gong practitioners, was invited to perform in the 2013 Pyeongtaek Port Marathon Assembly in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi. It was the third year the band has performed at the event.

Signing on the petition to support Falun Gong

Pyeongtaek Port is the military base of South Korean Navy's Second Fleet Headquarters guarding the Korean West Sea. Athletes from the United States, China, Japan and other countries, including American soldiers from the fleet, and more than 10,000 citizens participated in the marathon. Local politicians also attended the opening ceremony.

The Divine Land Marching Band performed at the opening ceremony. They were also invited to perform right before the runners took off. During the event, practitioners set up display boards to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Many people signed their names on the petition to support Falun Gong.

Mr. Cho Younggu, a well-known master of ceremonies, introduced the band at the opening. He praised the band members as angels who knew how to bring true love to the world. During the band's performance, Mr. Cho asked the audience: “Everybody, listen the beautiful music. Aren't we in Heaven? The band is really doing a good deed.” After the performance, Mr. Cho told the audience that the band will come every year, and expressed appreciation to the band members.

After the event, the band members went to the port to tell people about Falun Gong. Many Chinese people applauded their performance. Some of them accepted truth-clarifying materials, and some of them shouted: “Falun Dafa is good” in Chinese.
