(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Yumei and Ms. Wang Shuying Detained

Ms. Wu Yumei and Ms. Wang Suying were arrested for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on the afternoon of September 25, 2013. They were taken to the Jinghuabeilu Police Station and then transferred to the detention center of the police department at the Economy & Technology Development District, Dezhou City.

2. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] 70-Year-Old Ms. Zhang Yuzhi Arrested

On the morning of September 30, 2013, Ms. Zhang Yuzhi from Baokang Town, Tongliao City, was handing out information about Falun Gong to a young man, who turned out to be a police officer. She was arrested and taken to the Baokang Police Station. A female police officer searched her and took her Falun Gong information posters.

Earlier on June 3, 2013, Song Shouan and others from the Baokang Police Department went to her home and harassed her.

3. [Qixianling, Hainan Province] Mr. Lin Jinliang. Mr. Chen Huajian, and Ms. Wang Ronglan Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Lin Jinliang, Mr. Chen Huajian, and Ms. Wang Ronglan Hainan from the Baoting Li & Miao Ethnic Autonomous County in the Qixianling region were sentenced to three years in prison in August 2013. They are currently held at the County Detention Center.

4. [Sunwu County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Dehai Arrested

Mr. Wang Dehai was arrested for telling people the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. His house was ranscked, and his computer, books, and CDs were taken away. He has been held for over half a month.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Fenghua Missing

Ms. Zhao Fenghua, born in 1968, is an entrepreneur. Her husband works for the government. In 2003, she was forced to leave her home to avoid further persecution. No one has heard from her since, and her family members do not dare to search for her publicly.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yuhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yuhua from the Daxing District was arrested in the evening on October 1, 2013, for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. Over 10 agents from the Daxing District Police Department, the Qingyuan Police Station, and the community office ransacked her home the next morning. Her parents' house was also ransacked that afternoon. According to a source, the police carried a video recorder, a camera, electric batons, and other items in order to threaten these two elderly people.

7. [Tangshan City, Hebei City] Wang Hui Arrested and Her Home Ransacked

Ms. Wang Hui was arrested by officers from the Qianying Town Police Station in the Fengnan District for giving out Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on September 27, 2013. The police took her to the station, searched and videotaped her, then wrote "evidence" on a piece of paper and ordered her to put her fingerprints on it in lieu of a signature. Her home was ransacked. The police planned to detain her for 15 days and took her to the Fengnan Detention Center. Due to her high blood pressure, officials of the detention center did not accept her and she was released.
