(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Yu Min and his wife, Ms. Li Shulian, are both retired from Jilin University. They were arrested at their home by officers from the Fuzhida Road Police Station, Changchun City Domestic Security Division, and Agricultural University Security Department on December 23, 2012.

2. [Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jiang Ping and Mr. Zhang Jinghua Face Second Sentence

Ms. Jiang Ping, Mr. Zhang Jinghua, and Mr. Qiu Tianshu were arrested by the Xiangshan County Domestic Security Division on August 13, 2012. Mr. Qiu returned home on September 13, 2012. Ms. Jiang and Mr. Zhang are being held in the Xiangshan County Detention Center. They may be sentenced at the end of the year.

3. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] More information on Ms. Bao Wenju's Arrest

Ms. Bao Wenju, from Jilin City, Jilin Province, was arrested at Chifeng City Aohan Banner in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Mr. Wang Zhigang, from Shulan City, was arrested along with her.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Shulan Held in Changping Detention Center

Ms. Chen Shulan, in her forties, was arrested in December 2012 for distributing truth clarification materials. She is being held at Changping Detention Center.

Ms. Chen was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison in October 2002 and was released in March 2010. Her parents, sisters, and brothers have been persecuted to death for practicing Falun Gong.

5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiong Youyi Being Held in Macheng City Detention Center

Mr. Xiong Youyi was arrested by officers from Macheng City Police Department, Domestic Security Division, on June 20, 2012. He was held in the Macheng Detention House, Banqiao Brainwashing Center, and Macheng Detention Center, and has been tortured in many ways such as being made to stand all day, deprived of sleep, starved, kicked and punched, sworn at, and threatened. His family is not allowed to visit him.

7. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xingming Harassed

Mr. Wang Xingming is from Xiaowangzhuang Village. His home was ransacked on November 20, 2012, by Kong Jingong, head of the 610 Office in Liancheng Town, Mengyin County, Linyi City, Shandong Province ,and officers from Liancheng Police Station. His personal belongings were confiscated.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Baoshu Arrested

Ms. Yin Baoshu from Weifang City was arrested and taken to Beiguan Police Station on February 20, 2012, for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was released that afternoon after her family handed over 3,000 yuan.

9. [Gaotang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Lihua's House Demolished

Ms. Gao Lihua was pursued by many officers from the Domestic Security Division and her house was demolished because she practices Falun Gong. She is now homeless.

10. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Fenghua and Ms. Wang Xinyan Arrested

Ms. Wang Fenghua and Ms. Wang Xinyan were reported to the authorities for clarifying the truth in Anxin County in the Baizhuang area on October 15, 2012. Officers from Renqiu Domestic Security Division ransacked their homes that very day. Their computer, cell phone, DVDs, Falun Dafa books, MP3 players, and other items were confiscated. The two women are being held in Renqiu Detention Center.

11. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] More information on Arrest of Ms. Xin Yaying

Ms. Xin Yaying's home was ransacked by Li Zhen and over a dozen officers from the Anci District 610 Office and Domestic Security Division in Langfang City. Ms. Xin's credit card, cash, Dafa books, truth clarification materials, computer, and two printers were confiscated. She is being held in Langfang Detention Center.

12. [Qu County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wu Shaojun Faces Trial

Mr. Wu Shaojun was arrested and put in Qu County Detention Center by plainclothes police on the morning of August 21, 2012. They confiscated his computer, Dafa books, and DVDs. They also threatened his family not to tell anyone about Mr. Wu's arrest. He was to be tried on January 5, 2013.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Xinye and Mr. Han Chunlong Severely Persecuted

When Mr. Chen Xinye and Mr. Han Chunlong went to Dandong on business, they both were arrested at the hotel by agents from the Dandong 610 Office. The two men are being held in Dandong Detention Center. Mr. Han was persecuted so badly that he lost his hearing, has difficulty talking, and is lame. He has been on hunger strike.

14. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhang Kun Illegally Sentenced

Mr. Zhang Kun from Taihe County was arrested by officers from the Taihe County Domestic Security Division on June 1, 2012. He was tried by the Taihe County Court on the afternoon of November 5, 2012, and illegally sentenced to three years despite the absence of any evidence. He is being held in the Taihe County Detention Center.

Ms. Liu, Ms. Wang, and Ms. Zhang Huilan from the Hexi District in Tianjin were arrested at Ms. Wang's home by officers from Yuexiu Road Police Station on the afternoon of December 26, 2012. They were transferred to Youyi Road Police Station. Ms. Liu's home was ransacked, but she was released.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Bi and Her Family Arrested

Ms. Bi is from the Ziranjiajing Residential area in the Tongzhou District of Beijing. She was arrested by officers from the Jiaowangzhuang Police Station and taken to the Tongzhou Detention Center on October 15, 2012. Her son and daughter were arrested with her. All three have been sent to a forced labor camp.

Ms. Zhang Hongxiu was arrested by officers from the Wangdagua Town Police Station for distributing truth clarification materials on December 26, 2012.
