(Minghui.org) Since the beginning of 2012, several large-scale persecution campaigns targeting Falun Dafa practitioners have occurred in a city in Northern China. Dozens of local practitioners have been arrested, harassed, and put in forced labor camps or jails, and their homes have been ransacked. After what happened, local practitioners formed several rescue groups. Although the persecution continues, many family members of practitioners have started to understand the facts about Falun Dafa, and their attitude toward Dafa has changed. They have cooperated with practitioners to expose the persecution.

Seeing the changes in their family members, one practitioner said, "I did not suffer in vain. My heart is free, although my body may not be." Another one said, "Even though my husband is not a Falun Dafa practitioner, I feel almost as if we are cultivating together." A family member noted, "I used to fight with my husband and complain that he did not want a peaceful life. Now I understand that he did nothing wrong by practicing Falun Dafa; it is the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that is doing bad things." Many relatives regretted going along with the CCP and having a negative attitude toward Falun Dafa. They vowed to not cooperate with the Party anymore. After one practitioner was sentenced, his wife was not discouraged. Instead she said, "I understand the truth now, and I know what to do. I will tell more people about the CCP persecution of Falun Dafa." She wrote a letter to show her gratitude to local practitioners and Teacher. Below is her letter:

“Respected Dafa practitioners,

“Thank you for all your support during the past several months. Although I do not know you, I believe our hearts are together. Although I am not a member of your group, I trust you as much as I trust my husband. My thoughts and moral support will always be with you. All of you have been so supportive since my release from the detention center on March 6, 2012. I truly understand now, that no matter how barren the world looks, there will be at least one tree for me—that is, you, Dafa practitioners, with your kind and firm support. I think you, who have such strong belief, are most blessed! You are saving people's souls.

“A beautiful future will belong to you! I believe my husband will return soon. Thanks to Falun Dafa! Thanks to your respected Teacher Li Hongzhi!

Please remember, fellow practitioners, that we should not judge our rescue efforts only by legal decisions handed down in courtrooms. Teacher asks us to save people. Every person we meet during the rescue process is someone that we need to save. They must certainly include persecuted practitioners' family members, colleagues, and friends. Their change in attitude and understanding of the Fa are also part of our rescue work. Let us do better during this last stage of Fa Rectification.
