(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties and in 12 provinces. In this report, 9 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Xuemei in Critical Condition

Ms. Yu Xuemei, 64, was deceived into going to her workplace at Chengdu Amusement Park on May 16, 2012, and was then taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center by agents from Chenghua District 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division and Xinhong Road Police Station. She was beaten almost to death. The officials at the brainwashing center did not want to take any responsibility for their crimes, so they sent Ms. Yu to the hospital. Because she is very sick, the hospital refused to accept her and she was forcibly taken to her son's home.

Ms. Zhang Lixia, an employee of the Tongbei Forestry Bureau in Bei'an City, was arrested while she clarified the truth to the director of the Forestry Bureau on August 2, 2012. Her home was then ransacked. She was held in the Detention Center of the Tongbei Forestry Bureau.

Ms. Sun Aiye was arrested in 2011 while she was doing odd jobs out of town. She is still illegally detained in Qi County Detention Center.

Mr. Cui Shuyong was arrested by officers from Qiaomeng Police Station on New Year's Eve, 2012, while he was distributing truth clarification materials. He was held in Qi Detention House for 15 days and was then transferred to Qi Detention Center.

5. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying Arrested by Ruichang City Police Department

Ms. Tian Haiying from Jiujiang County was reported to the authorities and was arrested by officers from Guilin Police Station on the afternoon of July 30, 2012 while she was talking to two soldiers about quitting the Chinese Communist Party. She is held in Ruichang Police Department Detention Center.

6. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhu Yuqin Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yuqin, 63, from Yikanghuayuan in Changzhou City was arrested on July 27, 2012. Her home was ransacked. She was illegally detained at Changchai Hotel.

7. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Yunxia and Others Arrested

Nine practitioners from Henan Oil Field were arrested by officers from the Nanyang Domestic Security Division and Guanzhuang Police Station in Nanyang, Yuancheng District on the evening of August 2 and the morning of the 3rd, 2012. Among them were Ms. Liu Xiangfeng, 70 years old; Ms. Deng Qiao, 65 years old; Ms. Sun Rongde, 68 years old; Ms. Ruan Youti, around 65 years old; and Ms. Zhao Yunxia, around 61 years old, and her non-practitioner son.

In addition, Ms. Hu Guoyun, 63, from Wadian Town, Yuancheng District, was arrested on the afternoon of August 2, 2012.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Chuanjie Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Sun Chuanjie from Zuoshan County in Changyi City was arrested by officers from Weifang Domestic Security Division and 610 Office around June 15, 2012. He was detained at the brainwashing center in Kuiwen Party Academy, Weifang City.

9. [Suning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Fengzhi Arrested

Ms. Song Fengzhi from Suning County was arrested by officer Wang Zhiyuan from Suning County Domestic Security Division on July 29, 2012. His home was ransacked. He was transferred to Renqiu City Detention Center.

10. [Pingding County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Qiaolan Harassed

Qiu Lijun, the director of Pingding County Police Department from Yangquan City along with officer Duan Mingfu and three others burst into Ms. Wang Qiaolan's home on the evening of August 2, 2012. They intended to arrest her. Fortunately, Ms. Wang was not home. The police took some photos in her home.

11. [Wuwei County, Anhui Province] Mr. Miao Shilin Missing for Days

Mr. Miao Shilin from Wuwei County has been missing for many days. He was arrested during the 2008 Olympics and sentenced to 5 years. He was released in 2010 on medical parole.

12. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Diping Arrested

Ms. Yang Diping from Zhuozhou City was arrested at her home by officers from Zhuozhou Domestic Security Division and Taoyuan Police Station on August 2, 2012. Her home was ransacked.

13. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Jiang Jianghong Held in Detention Center

Ms. Jiang Jianghong from Hunan Province was found being held in Tianhe District Detention Center in Guangzhou City.

14. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Fangzhi Harassed

Five people from the Miyi Disciplinary Committee and Miyi Police Department burst into Ms. Li Fangzhi's home and harassed her on March 1, 7, 8 and 29, 2012. They took her fingerprints 4 times.

15. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Guo Xian Arrested

Ms. Guo Xian, a employee of the Ren'ai Hospital in Guiyang City, and two other practitioners were reported for clarifying the truth at work. She was arrested by officers from Guiyang Police Department around mid-July, 2012. She was then taken to Lannigou Brainwashing Center.

16. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Lei Guiling, Ms. Wang Qin Arrested

Ms. Lei Guiling from Ankou Village in Taoxu Town and Ms. Wang Qin from Daigu Town were arrested on August 3, 2012 and were taken to the Mengshan Police Station. They were then transferred to Taoxu Police Station. Officers from Taoxu Police Station ransacked their home that afternoon.

Mr. Liu Shuming, Ms. Wang Yurong and Mr. Huang Yunzhou have been detained for half a year. They are being held at Weiyuan Detention Center.

19. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] More Details on Ms. Tan Xiuying's Arrest

Ms. Tan Xiuying, 71, from Gaomi City was arrested and taken to Nanguan Police Station while she was clarifying the truth on July 16, 2012. Police officer Xia Kun and others from the local domestic security division burst into her home and ransacked her house. She was then released in the afternoon.

Four police officers burst into her home again on July 26, 2012. Ms. Tan was forcibly taken to the Chinese Herbal Medicine Hospital for an examination. Her blood pressure reached 190/100 mmHg. She was then released.

20. [Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Sun Jianfeng Illegally on Trial

Mr. Sun Jianfeng was illegally put on trial at Potou District Court in Zhongwei City on August 10, 2012.

Mr. Sun, 40, is an employee of the Yinchuan City Electricity Supplier Department of the Lanzhou Railway Bureau. Mr. Sun and Ms. Huang Yuxia were visiting Ms. Chang Xiu'e on March 30, 2012. Officer Li Cunshan and others from Zhongwei Domestic Security Division picked the door lock and arrested the three practitioners. The police also ransacked Ms. Chang's home. Her computer, printer and other items were confiscated. These 3 practitioners were then detained at Zhongwei Police Department and were interrogated. During the questioning, Ms. Huang was handcuffed by officer Li, who then proceeded to beat her, by kicking, punching and slapping her face. Officer Li also used the tiger bench method to torture her and used dirty words to defame Falun Gong at the same time. Officer Li with a group people later ransacked Ms. Huang's home that evening. They confiscated her computer, printer and other items.

During their detention at Zhongwei Police Department, the practitioners were taken to the local hospital for an examination. Ms. Huang did not meet the medical requirements of detention and was released on March 31. Ms. Chang was released a few days later. Mr. Sun is still being held at Zhongwei Detention Center. It has been over 4 months.

Mr. Sun has been illegally detained 4 times. He was forced to do hard labor and was severely tortured for 72 days, with methods such as forced feeding, being frozen with cold water, and being hung up by handcuffs. He was also constantly monitored.
