(Minghui.org) In 2009, my father came to understand the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). My father witnessed a practitioner get detained by CCP officials three times for appealing in Beijing for the right to practice Falun Gong. During the first two times, the Public Security Bureau could not sentence him due to lack of evidence. After being detained for the third time, they ordered others to fabricate evidence and based on that they sentenced him to a two-year prison term. My father was very disappointed after having seen the actions by the CCP officials. He came to understand that the CCP wasn't the great savior of the people as it had publicized frequently. Instead it brought disaster to its people.

When the New Tang Dynasty Television (NTD) station began to broadcast, I recommended that my father watch the programs. But he refused to have it installed, saying, "It is not fun because it offers only one channel." I knew in my heart that the real reason was that my father was fearful and didn't dare to install it.

In 2009, when I was detained in prison, another fellow practitioner helped my family install NTDTV. My father was very supportive. He alternated in watching the NTD channel and the CCP's channel. Every time he went to visit me in prison, he always told me the news broadcast by NTD. In 2010, I was released from prison. I found that my father liked comparing the news he heard from NTD with the one broadcast by the CCP. He found that the news reports were opposite from each other. One day he told me, "I watched the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party several times on NTD. What it says is so true. I really like this channel." Now, he only watches NTD. He is happy and relaxed.

After he started watching NTDTV, he changed significantly. He told others that "Falun Dafa is good" and the CCP is evil. He told them the news he had heard from NTDTV and convinced others to withdraw from the CCP organizations. He also recommended Falun Gong to people. Sometimes he encouraged people with difficulties to recite "Falun Dafa is good. Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) is good." Most importantly, he is no longer fearful of the CCP. He wrote a declaration which was published on the Minghui website, "All the words I said long ago that slandered Falun Dafa and its Teacher are invalid."

One time my father and I went to a prison to visit a relative that is also a practitioner. Outside the meeting room, a woman was scolding her sister, "You don't listen to the CCP. Falun Gong is prohibited. But you insist on practicing it. Your salary is paid by the CCP, yet you are still against it?" My father asked her, "Where does the money from the CCP come from?" She didn't respond. Instead she began to talk about corruption. She asked, "Which nation is not corrupt nowadays?" My father said, "Which nation is as corrupt as the CCP? The more they claim to battle corruption, the more corrupt they become." That woman didn't have an answer. In the presence of the prison guard, my father clarified the truth about Falun Gong to her. He said, "Because my children practice Falun Gong, my wife and I haven't been ill for years. We have also benefit from it." At last, the prison guard said, "If you think it is good, you can practice at home."

My father's changes also brought him unexpected fortune. Our family is harmonious. His career is very successful and he was elected village official.

In the village official election, others were unable to be elected after spending over 100,000 yuan. My father was elected after writing a candidate article that spoke of helping fellow villagers. He didn't spend one penny. Other officials said, "He wrote so well. We can't even write such a wonderful article." In fact, my father only had a middle school education. His belief in Dafa and withdrawal from the CCP organizations brought him good fortune.
