(Minghui.org) There are more than 30 Falun Gong practitioners illegally detained at Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. As of July 20, 2012, they had been on hunger strike to resist the persecution and have refused to wear the prison uniforms. As a result of their actions, they were put in solitary confinement and were brutally forced-fed.

Eight practitioners held in the No.2 Team include Mr. Zong Cheng, Mr. Song Shubin, Mr. Shao Baoqing, Mr. Zhang Guangzhao, Mr. Xue Ping, Mr. Zhang Jun, Mr. Zhang Lijun and Mr. Jiang Guangxin. Mr. Zong, Mr. Xue and Mr. Zhang Guangzhao were persecuted most severely.

He Jianxin and Ma Yuntao brutally beat Mr. Zong, and guard Li ordered other inmates to brutally force feed him. He was later put in solitary confinement. As a result of persecution, Mr. Zong lost all feeling in his left leg and right arm, and he had severe back pain. On August 7, 2012, Yang Yi and He Jianxin took him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a neurological disease. If not treated quickly the disease could cause paralysis. Mr. Zong is requesting to be released on bail to receive medical treatment.

Mr. Xue lives in Erdao Township, Fengman District, Jilin City. He was brutally tortured and forced-fed while he was on hunger strike. He was held in solitary confinement for three days, from July 20 to 23.

When Mr. Zhang, 69, from Jiaohe City was brutally forced-fed, guard Li ordered an inmate to force feed him with over a pound of salt. As a result, Mr. Zhang was extremely thirsty. He was then put in solitary confinement for six days, from July 20 to 26, and was subjected to torture.

Ms. Zhu Ruifang, who was held in the No.3 Team, went on hunger strike on July 20, 2012 to resist the persecution. She was put in solitary confinement for seven days.

Officials at the labor camp are said to have recently talked to Mr. Zong and Mr. Xue to try to force them not to expose what happened to them to the international community.

As a result of practitioners' actions in exposing the crimes committed by guards at the labor camp in recent years, the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners is not as severe as before. However, there are still cases of brutal beatings and torture that remain.

These perpetrators include Gao Zhilu from the No. 1 Team, and He Jianxin and Ma Yuntao from the No. 2 Team.
