(Minghui.org) When I visited my hometown two years ago, I stopped by the elderly village head's house. Sounding helpless, he told me that his health had deteriorated to the point where medications no longer worked.

I asked him, “There are many fliers and posters being passed around which describe the truth about Falun Dafa. Have you read the cases about people gaining fortune and health from believing in Falun Dafa? Those are all true stories. Only Falun Dafa can save lives. Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates can also keep you safe.” The village head said, “I am a senior member of the CCP and am receiving my pension from it. I can't quit.” I didn't push him. I gave him a flier with the facts about Falun Dafa and asked him read it carefully.

After some time, I visited the village head again. He continued talking about his ailments, and he was worried that he could die at any time. I asked him, “Why didn't you believe the good things I told you about?” He questioned, “Will quitting the CCP really help my health?” I told him my past experience of being tormented by various illness and trying to end my life. I had severe headaches, sore throat, stomach pain, extruded lumbar disc, arthritis, neck pain, and was short of breath. All day long I was tired from trying to breathe and from struggling with the pain. I couldn't think of a reason why I should live like that. After I learned Falun Dafa and began to practice, I was reborn. I am now physically and mentally fit and feel wonderful. After telling him my story, I said, “All practitioners are good people. Please don't believe the CCP lies or participate in the persecution.” The village head finally said, “If it really works, then I will quit the CCP.”

After a while, I met his family. The village head's wife held my hand and said, “How did it work so well? It's so wonderful.” Pointing at her husband, she exclaimed, “He is well now. The moment he quit the CCP and sincerely recited 'Falun Dafa is good,' his illness disappeared immediately. It's such a miracle. Even his temper is better. His complexion used to be dark, and there was evil in his eyes. I never dared to look into his eyes when I talked to him. Now he looks righteous with a rosy complexion. We want to thank you. We must treat you with a drink!” I asked them not to thank me but to thank Teacher and Falun Dafa. The formerly bedridden village head said, “I now wake up at 3:00 a.m. every day.” When I asked him why he wakes up so early, he pressed his hands together in front of his chest and said, “I wake up to recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good, and greetings to Master Li Hongzhi.'”

His entire family, including his son-in-law, has quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. All of them now practice Falun Dafa.
