(Minghui.org) Ms. Liang Aiying was born into a military family. She said that after she started practicing Falun Gong in October 1995, she benefited both physically and mentally. However, she has been imprisoned many times for her beliefs.

In July 2011, Ms. Liang was released from Nantong Women's Prison in Jiangsu Province. On the evening of June 19, 2012, she was arrested again at her home. Her home was ransacked and many personal belongings were confiscated. She is currently being detained at Wuxi City Second Detention Center.

Liang Aiying has been repeatedly arrested and tortured in a psychiatric hospital, subjected to brainwashing, and spent years in forced labor camps and prison since the persecution began in July 1999. Because she refused to renounce her beliefs, she was subjected to severe persecution and her family has been shattered.

On July 19, 1999, she was arrested and secretly taken to Wuxi City Da'afu Hotel by police officers from Beitang District Public Security Bureau. Several other practitioners, including Jiang Jinlong (who was later tortured to death), Chen Bingyu, and Hu Lizhen, were also arrested at that time. Later Liang Aiying was transferred to the City Public Security Bureau in the Yuzhuang Hotel. She was released after spending 15 days in detention. At the Yuzhuang Hotel, she saw that another practitioner, Qin Wenbin (also later tortured to death), was there.

On December 17, 1999, Liang Aiying went to appeal in Beijing. On December 24, she was arrested by police officer Zhang Xiaoming and others from Wuxi city Beitang Public Security Bureau. After being held at Wuxi Huilong Police Station for three days, she was kept in the third area of Wuxi Psychiatric Hospital (also named Wuxi Seventh People's Hospital) for three months (from December 28, 1999 to April 15, 2000). Seven other practitioners, including Hu Fengyu and Hu Fengzhu, were also detained there. Because she refused to take unknown and unnecessary medication, she was tied to a bed and force-fed the drugs. Afterwards she felt extremely agitated. Her entire body shivered continuously. Because she insisted on practicing the Falun Gong exercises, harmful medicines were injected into her system. She received twice the amount given to the psychiatric patients. She fainted after receiving the injections. She once heard a nurse ask her doctor, “They don't have disease. Why do we give them medicine?” To which the doctor replied, “The Public Security Bureau ordered it. Don't ask too many questions.”

Because Liang Aiying copied and distributed Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials, she was arrested by the police from the Beitang Public Security Bureau and held at the police station for two days. She refused to sign or even state that she would no longer practice Falun Gong. She tore up the statement that a police officer wrote for her to sign, and threw it out the window. Consequently, instructor Liu dragged her by the hair and told her to kneel down. Liang refused and said, “I only kneel down in front of my Teacher.” The vicious officer then slapped her face 15 times. He struck her head five times with a thick club. Later Liang Aiying was sentenced to five years in a forced labor camp.

In a meeting at the labor camp in 2002, Liang led others to shout “Falun Dafa is good!” As a result, her term was extended by five months. Because she refused to be brainwashed, she was twice put in solitary confinement. The first time was for 78 days and the second for 60 days. She was forced to stand on a 30 cm. (12 in.) -wide brick. If she stepped off, she was hit and beaten. She was also forced to stand by a reeking bucket of urine. They didn't allow her to use the toilet or sleep. From being forced to stand for so long, her feet became so swollen that she couldn't squeeze them into size 40 shoes even though she usually wears size 38. The lack of circulation in her lower limbs caused blisters to form that leaked yellow liquid. Furthermore, the guard ordered three inmates to hold her to the ground, and then shocked her feet and chest with electric batons.

In January 2002, the Party secretary from her former work unit and the secretary from a higher authority beat her and told her to choose between Dafa and the Party. Liang Aiying smiled and said, “Honestly, I wasn't very clear at the beginning. However, after experiencing such cruel torture, I am truly awakened. I realize the magnificence of Dafa and the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I want Falun Gong. I don't want the CCP.” The secretary said, “Then you have to withdraw from the CCP. Are you sure that you want to do this? You have been a Party member for thirty years. Have you thought about your political future?” Liang Aiying firmly answered, “I will sign the paperwork. I only want Falun Gong!”

In November 2004, Wan Huilou, director of the 610 Office, ordered over thirty police officers to arrest her at her sister's home and then take her to Wuxi Brainwashing Center.

In July 2007, Liang Aiying was arrested by officers from the Wuxi City Nanchangan Public Security Bureau because she distributed truth-clarifying materials and DVDs of Shen Yun performances. At Jinxing Police Station, she was made to sit on the tiger bench for 15 days.

Ms. Liang was subsequently sentenced to four years in prison. During the trial, she represented herself.

During her imprisonment at Nantong Woman’s Prison in Jiangsu Province, her husband suddenly died at home, which left their son alone.

Because of her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Liang Aiying has been tortured physically and mentally, and her family has been shattered. Furthermore, within one year after she was released from prison, she was once again arrested. She is currently being detained at the Wuxi City Second Detention Center.
