(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 29 cities or counties and in 12 provinces. According to this report, 18 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 38 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Qinfei in Critical Condition in Shenyang First Prison
Mr. Dong Qinfei from Tieling City was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2002. He is incarcerated at the No. 12 Prison District in Shenyang First Prison. Mr. Dong is tortured every day. He is deprived of sleep, force-fed hot pepper water, tied to a tiger bench, shocked with electric batons, shackled, and scorched under large heat lamps, etcs. Mr. Dong's legs are severely swollen, and he is in critical condition.
2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Xiuqin Tortured in the Jilin Province Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zheng Xiuqin from Yanji City was taken to the Jilin Province Women's Forced Labor Camp on April 27, 2012. She was forced to stand from morning until night after she refused to “transform.” From May 7 to May 17, she was tied to a bed while both of her arms were raised up, and she was not allowed to use the toilet. Since May 17, she has been monitored around the clock and only allowed to sleep two to three hours a night. She was beaten on May 24.
3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cao Ying Detained
Ms. Cao Ying, 55, was arrested by officers from the Gongren Police Station on June 6, 2012, for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Detai Market. She was arrested along with another practitioner. Ms. Cao is being held at a local detention center. The other arrested practitioner was released that night.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Fengyun and Ms. Yu Yuelan Taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center on May 30, 2012
5. [Wangqing County, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Guihua and Ms. Shao Shuying Detained
Ms. Song Guihua and Ms. Shao Shuying, who are both from Tianqiaoling Town, Wangqing County, were arrested by officers from the Tianqiaoling Forestry Bureau Police Department on June 4 and May 28, respectively. Ms. Song is being held at the Tianqiaoling Forestry Bureau Detention Center. Ms. Shao's whereabouts are unknown.
6. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Yin Shuping
Ms. Yin Shuping was arrested at her self-owned hair salon by plainclothes officers from the Jinzhou City Police Department on June 7, 2012. Ms. Yin was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center. The police later confiscated a VCD player, photos of Falun Gong's Teacher, a cellphone, and other personal belongings from Ms. Yin's home.
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Wu Limei and Her Family
Officers from the Shenbei District Domestic Security Division and the Shenbei Police Department broke into Ms. Wu Limei's home on June 7, 2012. The police arrested Ms. Wu, her husband, and her son. Ms. Wu's husband and son were released that night.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Changmei and Four Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners, including Ms. Song Changmei, Ms. Song Shuchan, and Ms. Jiao Guizhen, were arrested by officers from the Paotai Town Police Station and the Puwan District Police Department for speaking with people about Falun Gong on June 6, 2012. Ms. Song Shuchan was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.
9. [Zouping County, Shandong Province] Ms. Fang Yuzhen Held in Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Fang Yuzhen, in her 50s, was taking a bus to a relative's home in Zhangqiu City in early May 2012 when she was arrested by Zouping County police for handing out Falun Gong informational DVDs. She is being held in Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
10. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qin Arrested on June 5, 2012, and Held in Cuiyan Police Station
11. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Baowei Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
After being detained at the Haicheng City Detention Center for over a year, Mr. Tian Baowei was sentenced to five years in prison. He was taken to the Dabei Prison around May 17, 2012, and transferred to Dongling Prison on June 1.
12. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Dehua Arrested
On the evening of June 5, 2012, Zhang Xuming and several officers from the local police station arrested Mr. Wang Dehua and ransacked his home.
13. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Bo Transferred to Benxi Prison
Mr. Zhou Bo was reported to police for handing out Falun Gong materials with his mother on November 20, 2011. He was arrested and taken to a detention center that same day. He was later sentenced to four years in prison and taken to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City on March 28, 2012. On April 18, 2012, he was transferred to Benxi Prison.
14. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Xiaoming Detained
Ms. Dong Xiaoming, a teacher at the Dongzhangzi Elementary School, was reported for speaking with her students about Falun Gong on June 4, 2012. She was arrested by officers from the Lingyuan Domestic Security Division and is now being held at a detention center.
15. [Ji'ning City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Yingqi Arrested on June 3, 2012
16. [Zhenyuan County, Gansu Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Mr. Zhang Longlong
About a dozen officers, including Xu Jiajing from the Linjing Town Police Station, went to Mr. Zhang Longlong's home while he was making repairs to his house on May 29, 2012. The police arrested him, and he is now in the Zhenyuan County Detention Center.
17. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners, Including Ms. Fu Guiying, Arrested
Five practitioners, including Ms. Fu Guiying and Ms. Deng Liangcun, were arrested in the Miaozhuang community on June 6, 2012.
18. [Tancheng County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yue Xiwen Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Yue Xiwen from Xiyue Village, Honghua Town, Tancheng County, was arrested early in the morning on March 2, 2012. He was taken to the Zibo Forced Labor Camp on May 20.
19. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Han Guozhen Detained
Ms. Han Guozhen, in her 50s, was arrested on June 3, 2012, by officers from the Huangtaigang Police Station for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Huangtaigang Town. She was taken to the Nanyang City Detention Center.
20. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shaohua Arrested
Ms. Wang Shaohua was arrested by officers from the Badadui Police Station for speaking with people about Falun Gong at a train station on June 8, 2012. The police later ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong's Teacher, a cell phone, and other personal belongings.
21. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chunmei Taken to the Linyi Brainwashing Center
A group of officers, including Longjiaquan Comprehensive Management Office head Gao Songfeng, Chaishan District secretary Yang Peng, and six officers from the Domestic Security Division, broke into Ms. Wang Chunmei's hair salon on June 4, 2012. The officers arrested Ms. Wang and took her to the the Linyi Brainwashing Center.

22. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Jiang Wentao and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Jiang Wentao and his wife were arrested by officers from the Qinduankou Police Station and personnel from the Qiliyi Residential Committee on June 5, 2012.
23. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Banghe Arrested
Mr. Liu Banghe, 59, from Yangjiao Town, Wulong County, Chongqing, was arrested on June 6, 2012. His whereabouts are unknown.
24. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Persecuted
Ms. Li Damei was arrested on April 16, 2012, and taken to a brainwashing center. She was beaten so severely that she was unable to straighten her back. She was later sentenced to two years of forced labor.
Ms. Deng Huacheng and Ms. Wang Tianlian were sentenced to two years of forced labor.
Mr. Dai Dakui was transferred to the Yongchuan District Detention Center. Mr. Dai's wife, Ms. Wu Xiuqun, is still being held at a brainwashing center, and she is monitored around the clock.
25. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Pu Baoyu Arrested on May 4 and Held in the Guandu Detention Center
26. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Caijuan Taken to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center
Ms. Deng Caijuan from the Chancheng District, Foshan City, was arrested outside her friend's home on the evening of June 7, 2012. She was taken to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center.

27. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Qiu Qianying and Several Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Qiu Qianying and Ms. Li Ping were arrested on June 5, 2012, for speaking with people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Hecheng District Detention Center. The center refused to admit Ms. Qiu and released her. Ms. Li was detained for ten days.
On the afternoon of June 8, 2012, Ms. Qiu Qianying, Ms. Qiu Hongying, and Ms. Wang Shengqiu were handing out Shen Yun DVDs on Zhijiang Road. They were arrested by a group of plainclothes officers and taken to the Chengzhong Police Station. The detention center again refused to admit Ms. Qiu Qianying. Ms. Qiu Hongying and Ms. Wang were detained for ten days.
28. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Shixiu and Ms. Luo Congxiu Arrested
Ms. Luo Shixiu and Ms. Luo Congxiu were arrested on June 5, 2012, by officers from the Ganning Police Station and the Wanzhou District Police Department for handing out Falun Gong informational materials. Ms. Luo Congxiu was taken to the Zhoujiaba Detention Center in Wanzhou District.

29. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yanqing Has Been Imprisoned for Nearly Ten Years and Is on the Verge of Death
Ms. Zhang Yanqing, 46, was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2003 for tapping into a cable TV network and broadcasting videos that clarified the truth about Falun Gong. She is incarcerated in the No. 4 Prison District in Baoding Prison and has been tortured.
Ms. Zhang started a hunger strike on May 25, 2012, to protest the abuse. She was monitored by about six people, deprived of sleep, not allowed to talk to others, and kicked and beaten. Ms. Zhang is on the verge of death.
The prison administration demanded 130,000 yuan for Ms. Zhang's release on medical parole. Her family is concerned for her.

30. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yao Fenglan and Three Other Practitioners Imprisoned
Jiujiang City practitioners Ms. Yao Fenglan, Ms. Zhang Daidi, Ms. Han Yuming, and Ms. Zhou Meili were arrested for putting up Falun Gong informational posters in Ruichang City on July 11, 2011. On December 16, 2011, the Ruichang Court sentenced all four practitioners to three years in prison. Ms. Yao, Ms. Zhang, and Ms. Zhou are being held in Jiangxi Women's Prison. Ms. Han is being held at Yuzhang Prison.

31. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wei Hongya Beaten in a Detention Center
Ms. Wei Hongya was recently beaten by guards at the Yancheng City Detention Center. Several of her teeth were knocked loose and fell out.
Ms. Wei is retired. While distributing Falun Gong informational materials in April 2012, she was arrested by the local 610 Office. Ms. Wei has been held in the Yancheng City Detention Center ever since.

32. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Changlan Emaciated and Weak in Prison
Ms. Chen Changlan from the Jiangbei District was arrested for speaking with people about Falun Gong in the Jiangjin District in April 2010. The police ransacked her home and took her to the Jiangjin Detention Center. Ms. Chen was later sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison. She has been held in the No. 2 Prison District of the Chongqing Women's Prison ever since. She is now emaciated and very weak.
