(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Fuyu's Home Ransacked

Two plainclothes officers from the Mei County Police Department planned to look for Ms. Luo Fuyu on the evening of July 30, 2012. Ms. Luo overheard their conversation, and managed to leave home. The police broke into her home and took away her computer, printer and Falun Gong informational materials.

2. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Yumei and Ms. Xu Shumin Arrested and Released

Ms. Cao Yumei and Ms. Xu Shumin went to the countryside to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong on June 4, 2012. Plainclothes police officers arrested and took them to the Wangliu Police Station. Three police officers from Weicheng District broke into Ms. Cao's home and ransacked it. They took away Falun Gong books, a photo of Master Li and Falun Gong informational materials. Ms. Cao was sent to the Weifang Detention Center that same day. Ms. Cao's family was extorted out of 11,200 yuan before she was released on June 9. Ms. Xu who is nearly 80 years old was detained for one day before she was released.

3. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Sumei Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ren Sumei from Jing County was arrested at noon on July 29, 2012 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong in Gezhuang Village, Wangtong Township. Officers from the Jing County Police Department made the arrest and sent her to the Hengshui Brainwashing Center.

4. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Cheng Xinguang and His Wife Arrested

Officers from the Zhongxing Town Police Station broke into Mr. Cheng Xinguang's home on the morning of July 25 and arrested him. They arrested Mr. Cheng's wife the next morning.

5. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Forced Labor

Ms. Lu Guimei from Xizhuwei Village, Ms. Wang Li from the Longquan Residential Area and Mr. Sun Zhensheng from Ping'anyu Village, Yeyuan Town were sentenced to forced labor.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Yongsheng Detained

Mr. Liu Yongsheng was arrested on July 12 as he posted informational materials near the Huaqiao Town Brainwashing Center. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Huaqiao Police Station. Mr. Liu is being held in the Xinjin Detention Center.

7. [Baotou, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Yang Junping and Others Arrested

Mr. Yang Junping, employee at the Shalaqi Banner Hospital and others were arrested by the Baotou City police. Their whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Xie Guichen and Ms. Liu Shulan from Senshu Village, Baiqi Town, Ms. Tan Chengxiang from Xinfeng Village were arrested on the morning of July 29 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong in Baiqi Village. Officers from the Baiqi Town Police Station headed by Police Chief Cao Tiesheng made the arrest.

Mr. Xie's home was ransacked and his cell phone, informational materials and other personal belongings were confiscated. The three practitioners were sent to the Nanshan Detention Center that same afternoon.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Update on 48 Practitioners Held in Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp

Forty-eight practitioners were being held in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp, 20 have been transferred to other forced labor camps: Five practitioners including Mr. Geng Xiaoguang, Mr. Zhou Bingzong and Mr. Zhang Guozhi were transferred to the Fenjin Forced Labor Camp. Fifteen practitioners including Mr. Pan Wei, Mr. Wang Shouye and Mr. Xu Qingshan were transferred the Weizigou Forced Labor Camp.

10. [Yuxi City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Wang Wei Detained

Mr. Wang Wei from Tonghai County was arrested on the morning of July 25 in Yuxi. His computer and informational materials were confiscated. Mr. Wang is being held in the Hongta District Detention Center.

11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Kuncai Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Li Kuncai from Xinji City has been held in Jidong Prison. When his term expired, officers from the Tianjiazhuang Township Police Station took him back and sent him straight to the Shijiazhuang Brainwashing Center.

12. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Wang Suqin Arrested

Officers from the Hongshan District Police Department arrested Ms. Wang Suqin at noon on July 31.

13. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Shaopei Detained

Ms. Yang Shaopei, 60, was arrested on July 19 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong in Xipu Town. She was detained.

Ms. Zuo Xianfeng from Harbin City was arrested on the afternoon of July 30. Yilan County Domestic Security Division officer Zhang Yingtuo deceived her into going to the county's police department and took her to the Yilan County No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Zuo was previously sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. She was released after the 2012 Chinese New Year.
