(Minghui.org) Chinese and English media outlets have been recently reporting on stories behind the case against Bo Xilai’s wife Gu Kailai for the murder of British businessman Neil Heywood. According to the Epoch Times, the key issue of the case has been covered up. That is, that Bo and Gu were heavily involved in harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, selling organs and corpses of those practitioners for profit. Reports say that the real reason for Heywood's murder was because of his knowledge of these crimes. On August 17, in a press conference at the National Press Club, Dr. Crystal Fang, a representative of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), made an urgent appeal to the international community, governments of all countries and media outlets, calling for investigation into the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) controls Chinese medicine and makes it a lethal enterprise
Ms. Fang quoted George Weigel, a distinguished Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, who called it “government-run Chinese medicine, which has become a lethal enterprise.” She stated, “Medicine should be a profession of trust by people and built upon a solid moral standard. This is especially important for the profession of organ transplantation. Doctors are supposed to save people. How can they take part in forced organ harvesting?”
Dr. Crystal Fang, a representative of Doctors Against Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), introduced the book State Organs at the press conference
Dr. Crystal Fang from Doctors Against Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) introduced a new book State Organs at the press conference. The book was published in July 2012 in Canada. In this book, several medical experts explored the involvement of the CCP’s state machinery in organ transplantation. Dr. Arthur Caplan, director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, mentioned in the book that in China prisoners are sentenced to death with the purpose of harvesting their organs.
The book was edited by the founder of DAFOH, Dr. Torsten Trey, and renowned human rights lawyer David Matas. After Davis Matas and David Kilgour’s book Bloody Harvest, the Killing of Falun Gong for their Organs, this is the second publication about the organ harvesting atrocities in China. This book collected several manuscripts of renowned doctors in the organ transplant field. These papers analyzed the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities of harvesting organs from prisoners of conscience, especially Falun Gong practitioners, and appealed for action from the international community.
CCP admits to live organ harvesting
At the beginning of March 2006, the CCP’s atrocities of live organ harvesting from 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners in Sujiatun Concentration Camp were disclosed. Professor Stephen Wigmore, leader of the British Transplantation Society's ethics committee, condemned China’s organ transplantation as an unacceptable infringement of human rights and called on the United Nations and the World Health Organization to investigate the issue.
Under the CCP’s genocidal policy against Falun Gong, hundreds of thousands of practitioners have been imprisoned in prisons and forced labor camps. The imprisoned practitioners were subjected to the usual physical exam, including blood tests. Many of them disappeared later. The CCP has never denied the crime of forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Chinese military doctor Wang Guoqi testified in a hearing before the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Human Rights in 2001 that CCP agencies have been involved in organ harvesting from death-row inmates for profit. In 2005, the CCP regime admitted first that 95% organs in transplantation were from death-row inmates. The statement verified a long time suspicion that forced organ harvesting was supported by the CCP regime.
French doctor: Major source of organ transplantation in China is from Falun Gong practitioners
Dr. Harold King, a dentist and a member of DAFOH in France, said that since the number of transplants each year largely exceeds the number of executions, the CCP's official version of the source of organs simply cannot stand. He believes that since 2001, most organs have come from prisoners of conscience. The vast majority are Falun Gong practitioners who are arbitrarily arrested. They are considered healthy and are at the disposal of the state, held in the hundreds of thousands in forced labor camps.
Dr. Harold King believes that live organ harvesting is a “terrible contradiction the fundamentals of medicine... to save lives.”
Dr. King pointed out, “China is the only country in the world where almost every kind of organ for every blood type can be attained within two weeks. They even guarantee a fast replacement if necessary.
"We must take a position, or our own ethical principles disintegrate," said Dr. Harold King,
At the 23rd International Congress of the Transplantation Society held in Vancouver, Canada on August 15-18, 2011, CCP’s live organ harvesting was condemned and the international community was requested to take actions to stop the evil. Amnesty International issued a call to pharmaceutical companies not to participate in clinical trials in China of anti-rejection drugs used to keep a patient's immune system from rejecting a transplanted organ. Novartis answered the call immediately. The International Society of Human Rights in Germany expressed that it would pay close attention to the CCP’s atrocities of organ harvesting.
Malaysia: Medical Development Division will stop providing medicines for patients who go to other countries for organ transplants
Datuk Dr. Ghazali Ahmad, Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Nephrology, Hospital of Kuala Lumpur, disclosed that the Malaysian government knew about the occurrence of illegal organ transplantation and that, beginning in 2012, the Medical Development Division no longer provides medicines for patients who go to other countries for organ transplants.

Datuk Dr. Harjit Singh, President of the Malaysian Society of Transplantation, pointed out at a press conference that a responsible person would stop patients from becoming involved in illegal organ transplantation. Such illegal transactions focus on profit but not the patient's health.
He said, “As responsible people, we should keep patients from getting involved in illegal organ transplantation. People should select right and legal channels, not illegal means.”

Israel Puts an End to Any Kind of Transplant Tourism
At the 24th International Congress of the Transplantation Society held in Berlin, Germany, July 15-19, 2012, Dr. Jacob Lavey, former chairman of the Israel Transplantation Society, said that since 2008 there have been no Israeli patient visiting China for organ transplantation. Dr. Jacob Lavey is a heart surgeon in Israel. He said that the Israeli Parliament passed a law, which went into effect in April 2012, that insurance companies are forbidden to reimburse patients for any kind of transplants performed abroad.

Professor Li Huige: Doctors should not become accomplices of the CCP
At a seminar held in the UK on September 5, 2011 by "Doctors against Forced Organ Harvesting,” Dr. Li Huige, a medical professor at a German University, said that out of his sense of conscience he would help more people know the facts of the CCP’s live organ harvesting. He stated, "This is overwhelmingly important. Seeing this kind of crime actually happening in China, in my opinion, everyone has the responsibility. Why? What is happening now in China [organ harvesting] is atrocious. If people do not speak out against this, what are they waiting for?"

Professor Li urged colleagues in the Western medical community to participate in joint efforts to stop the violence by learning the truth about the CCP’s organ harvesting. Meanwhile, for medical professionals in mainland China, Professor Li hoped that they would learn the truth and follow their consciences. He said, "Those doctors involved in the organ harvesting, some had already become accomplices when they found out. It is difficult to quit. Some have bought into the CCP’s propaganda. One must see the CCP’s true despicable colors. There is no reason to persecute Falun Gong, a group of people who want to become better people, who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. The CCP simply uses its slanderous propaganda to find an excuse for its brutal persecution. We doctors should see through this. Do not become an accomplice."
In recent years, the international medical community has continued to express concern about the CCP’s practice of forced organ harvesting from living people. Righteousness will prevail. The Nuremberg trial after World War II brought the German murderers to justice. Similarly, in the brutal persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners, especially the forced live organ harvesting, all perpetrators involved, whether they are policy makers or doctors executing orders, will eventually face trial.
