Ms. Ge Xiaotian Arrested 5 Times for Informing People about Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Ms. Ge Xiaotian is 53 years old and lives in Haitang New Village in the Jinshan District of Shanghai. On April 10, 2012, she was illegally arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Group of the Jinshan District while she was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to the locals. Her home was ransacked, and many Falun Gong materials were confiscated. As of now her family has not received any notification or information of her whereabouts. When they asked the deputy chief of the Domestic Security Group, Lu Ye, where she was being held, he refused to answer, claiming that he was not in charge of the case.

Ms. Ge began practicing Falun Gong in May of 1998. After the persecution started in 1999, the Domestic Security Group of Jinshan District arrested her for hanging up a Falun Gong banner on November 17, 2000. She was unlawfully sentenced to three years in a prison with three years probation.

On August 17, 2004, Ms. Ge was arrested and detained for 15 days, then transferred to a prison. She was released on March 8, 2007.

On June 17, 2008, she was arrested for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong in a supermarket and was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.

In February 2010, Ms. Ge was followed as she was handing out informational materials about Falun Gong. She was then arrested and sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labor camp.
