(Minghui.org) I am a 66-year-old retired chief medical doctor. In childhood I suffered from acute meningitis. Due to a delay of treatment, my hands trembled for many years. The condition was most prominent when I was tired or emotionally disturbed. After I got married, I suffered from acute urethritis, which gradually developed into chronic cystitis and pyelitis. I suffered from back pain, edema and constant fatigue. Sometimes I vomited after taking medicine; intramuscular injection caused lumps at the needle point that lasted a long time. Even intravenous infusion caused allergic reactions. I learned a number of Qigong practices to cure my illnesses. But they did not help much.

In May 1994 a friend told me about Falun Gong and also lent me a copy of Falun Gong. Reading the book, I knew I had stumbled upon something extremely precious. I began to read the book and do the exercises every day - in the morning and evening with several practitioners and also read on my own whenever I could find time. I learned to conduct myself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Before I knew it, my 34 years of hand tremor symptom and 18 years of chronic pyelitis vanished. I was overjoyed by the feeling of perfect health. Other practitioners also experienced major physical and mental improvements. All of us felt extremely fortunate to have become practitioners. We wanted to share this wonderful practice with more people. On May 13, 1995 we organized a Falun Gong class that was quite a success. Soon, more people were joining the group. We organized the second class, third, fourth … Before long, we had more than 3,000 practitioners in our area, people from all ages and walks of life. It was just like Master said,

“Dafa is being spread far and wide. Those who hear about it are looking for it. Those who have obtained it are delighted with it. The number of cultivators is increasing daily and becoming countless.” (“Seeking Discipleship with Teacher” in Essentials for Further Advancement)

1) Falun is a supernatural science, which has amazing healing powers

In the summer of 1994 a 59-year-old woman was suffering from habitual hip dislocation. She was bedridden for years and suffered from leg muscle atrophy. Right before she went for surgery, she learned the Falun Gong exercises to see if it would help. Sure enough, Master purged her health problems. Soon she could slowly stand up and walk with crutches and felt more energetic every day. After practicing Falun Gong for a while, her leg muscles regained strength and a normal profile.

A 48-year-old man was diagnosed with liver cancer. He underwent three courses of treatment. The first time it had no effect; the second and third time he would lose consciousness after an injection. The doctors had to stop the drug immediately to avoid killing him. He lost hope. At this time he heard about Falun Gong and decided to go home and practice it. He began to read and practice with a group, and also promote Falun Gong to others. Soon he recovered and was cancer free. For 18 years till this day he has enjoyed a healthy life.

2) Young couple remarries after practicing Dafa

A young couple fought a lot. The husband was quite abusive. Finally the wife could no longer put up with him and filed for divorce. Their three-year-old son was left with the father. He was not prepared to be a working single dad and his temper worsened. His friends and relatives tried to stay away. Later on he began to practice Falun Gong and decided to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Soon he changed his bad temper and turned into a new person. He encouraged his ex-wife to practice Dafa. She agreed after reading a Dafa book. Soon, they remarried and began to study and practice Dafa with their son. The family became a regular at our local activities. During an experience sharing conference the husband said with tears in his eyes, “Thank you Master for returning my wife to me and a mother to my son. We now have a complete family.”

3) A doctor and an official who refuse to take bribes

One evening a practitioner doctor was on duty in the ER. A patient was rushed in for emergency treatment and hospitalization. The doctor learned that the patient’s family member was not familiar with the hospital procedures, so he escorted the family member to several places until all paperwork was completed. After the patient was sent to the ward, the family member stuffed some cash into the doctor’s pocket in appreciation of his help. The doctor returned the money and said, “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and cannot accept your money. Please trust me, I always take good care of my patients.” The family member said, “Falun Dafa practitioners are indeed good people.”

There are many similar stories. One of my colleagues was a practitioner. Because of his special position, people would bring him all kinds of gifts. Sometimes the gifts came in big boxes; sometimes people even gave him a bundle of cash, but he always refused to accept them.

4) Miracles

In the fall of 1994 we were invited to a military unit to promote Falun Gong. Subsequently, more than 20 soldiers and officers began to practice Dafa. They followed Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in daily life and became less selfish, diligent and caring persons. At a practitioner’s suggestion, several practitioners began to clean up the area. They collected garbage and repaired a dirt road. After a while, the place where they were stationed saw a major improvement. All others in the military unit were motivated by their good deed; the relationship improved, and the military company became a pleasant unit. People praised Falun Dafa from their hearts. Several miracles happened in this unit. The following are a few such incidents.

Plastic Box Intact in Fire

A practitioner kept one of Master's teaching video-tape in a plastic box. He also kept some other tapes in a wooden box. One day when no one was home his house was destroyed by fire. Upon returning home he found his TV and a tape recorder burned, and the wooden box along with all the tapes turned into ashes. While cleaning up the debris, he found a plastic box buried by the ash. It was the box that stored the video-tape. All he could see was a yellow spot on a corner caused by the smoke, but the tape was intact. People who heard about it were amazed, “Dafa is just incredible and miraculous.”

Plant Manager Escaped Explosion

A plant manager borrowed a copy of Zhuan Falun from a practitioner. The book provided him with some key understanding of Dafa principles. Before a year-end all hands meeting the manager and a number of workers arrived ahead of time. While waiting for others, he suddenly decided to go outside without any reason. Just as he exited the door, he heard a huge explosion behind him. The explosion shattered the glass. He went back into the room and found many injured people. Only the two practitioners there were unharmed; the rest of the people suffered from burns. It turned out that a natural gas line had leaked and a smoker ignited the fumes in the room. Master had protected the plant manager because he had read the Dafa book.
