(Minghui.org) Before practicing Falun Dafa, I produced chili powder and sold it in wholesale markets to retailers, who then sold it to their customers. At that time, to make more money, I always adulterated the chili powder. The outer skin of corn cobs were ground up and dyed with industrial dye and then mixed into the chili powder. I knew that it would be harmful to one's health if that chili powder was consumed over a long period of time, but I felt that I had no choice because everyone else was doing this, too. The price of genuine chili powder was more expensive than that of the diluted chili powder by several yuan per kilo. I felt that if I did not follow the beaten path, then I could not cover my costs, and I would lose money.

Because Master Li Hongzhi teaches us to be good people, after beginning to practice Falun Dafa, I knew that it was wrong for me to adulterate the chili powder. I did not know what to do. I struggled, but finally I decided to follow Master’s teachings for being a good person and to stop producing the adulterated chili powder. I figured that I would no longer make any money, and that I would change my profession. Since I am tall and strong, I decided to do construction work.

I told fellow suppliers about my decision. They laughed with pleasure because there would now be one less competitor in their business.

I still had some raw peppers left at home. That evening when I returned home from the market, I ground those raw peppers into chili powder and did not mix anything in with them. I prepared to sell the powder at the wholesale market the next day and then go to find another job.

The next day, I went to the wholesale market and told the distributors, "This chili powder is my last stock. I did not mix anything in with it because I have begun practicing Falun Dafa, and I want to be a good person and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. That's why I do not make adulterated chili powder anymore. The price is a bit more expensive, since I need to earn back the fuel and labor costs." The distributor carefully examined the quality of my chili powder, tasted it and said, "It is genuine and there is no adulteration at all. I want it. I want it no matter how expensive it is. There will be people who know the good stuff. It will sell well for sure. If it sells well, I will buy your stock again." Hence, in a short time I unexpectedly sold out of chili powder.

After I returned home, I received many orders from distributors well before I could locate a construction team. In this way, I stayed in the chili powder business. As time has gone by, my business has only increased, and I have made more and more money.

Observing my successful business, fellow suppliers asked me how I accomplished such success. I told them the truth: "It is because I practice Falun Dafa, and I want to be a good person by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Hence, I no longer make adulterated chili powder, and I sell my genuine powder at a higher price. Despite the increase in price, buyers still want to buy it."

Driven by my practice, these suppliers gradually stopped adulterating their chili powder as well. Now, almost no one makes or sells fake chili powder.

Retailers in the pepper market often say, "Wow, Master Li's Falun Dafa is quite powerful. His disciple has transformed himself into a good person and does not adulterate his goods. His first-class chili powder transformed us into a group of first-class businessmen."

From my behavior, these suppliers came to have great confidence in Falun Dafa practitioners. They have accepted and thoroughly understand the truth, and they have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Whenever the CCP launches initiatives to persecute practitioners, my fellow suppliers always kindly remind me to pay attention to safety. They are also pleased to use money with truth clarification statements written on it, and they are happy to help with other approaches to deliver the facts about Falun Dafa. I sincerely thank them for what they have done for Falun Dafa.
