(Minghui.org) During the afternoon of March 1, 2012, when Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Tan was clarifying the truth to people on a street, she was picked up by a young man from the Politics and Law Office and taken to the Xinhua Police Station in the Zhuanghe District. She is currently being detained at the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

Prior to her practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Wang had suffered from serious diseases and had not been able to care for herself. Her mother-in-law took care of her. After she started to practice Falun Gong, Ms. Wang became a kind person and improved her moral standard by following the principles of Falun Gong. Consequently, her health improved and Falun Gong has not only helped her, but also benefited her family and society.

However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, bringing disaster to the Chinese people. In Dalian City, over 70 practitioners, including Shi Hongbo, Lu Manku, Feng Gang, Wang Yan, and Jiang Ruihong, have been tortured to death. Nearly 200 practitioners are still being detained in prisons, forced labor camps, detention centers, and brainwashing centers. Practitioners Wang Enping, Zheng Decai, Wang Xiuli, Song Ping, Song Xiangfeng, and Zou Jiling are still being illegally detained in the Zhuanghe District. Ms. Wang Tan was also persecuted and abused by the CCP.

The following are the individuals primarily responsible for the abuse of Wang Tan:

Wang Tan and other practitioners abused in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

In the Second Women’s Division of Masanjia Labor Camp, Falun Gong practitioners were forced to do long term intensive labor. As a result, some older practitioners fainted and even died. Ms. Bai Shuzhen is one example. She was still working at 8:00 p.m., when she suddenly fell unconscious. Her nose bled and she died. The first building is where brutal police officers carried out the so-called “strict monitoring” and torture of Falun Gong practitioners. This site was very isolated and the police could abuse, beat, and curse practitioners at will. Their screams could often be heard. Practitioners were often beaten until they were paralyzed and became incontinent.

Guards Zhang Xiurong, Yang Xiaofeng, Zhang Zhuohui, and others beat Ms. Wang Tan until her nose bled. They then hung her upside down until she fell unconscious. Practitioner Cui Yaning went on a hunger strike to protest the torture. As a result, the guards force-fed her with garlic water, causing injury to her stomach and heart, and she became very weak. Practitioner Di Weiyan was forced to squat for 100 hours. They then forced her to cross her legs in the full lotus position, forced her arms behind her back, and tied her up with ropes. She was tied up for 18 hours, during which time she fell unconscious five times. The guards tied her up, then stretched her limbs, and repeated this process until she went into convulsions.

Ms. Di Weiyan was once deprived of sleep for 13 days. She was tortured at least seven times. Ms. Zhang Xiuling was hung up first, then hung upside down for over 20 days. She fell unconscious several times. The guards stomped on her hands, breaking several bones. Ms. Xu Shuqin was energetic and had a rosy complexion before she was imprisoned. Several days after she had been tortured, her legs became limp, she became hunchbacked and had difficulty walking, and her face was pale. There were wounds and marks all over her body from electric shocks. One of her fingers became disfigured after she was forced to make art crafts with toxic chemicals.

In Masanjia Labor Camp, at mealtime, there was a long line of disabled Falun Gong practitioners that had difficulty walking as a result of being tortured. Practitioners who had been tortured to mental disability and were unable to care for themselves were detained on the first floor. Practitioners who were very determined and refused to be brainwashed were detained in the lower storage room. Some were put in handcuffs every day and deprived of sleep.

The above accounts of torture used on practitioners are only a very small sample of the crimes committed at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Practitioners are being tortured every day in every forced labor camp in China.
