Some Thoughts about Teacher's Article “The Ultimate Objective of Clarifying the Truth”

April 01, 2012 |   By a practitioner from Thailand

(Minghui.org) In the recent article “The Ultimate Objective of Clarifying the Truth,” Teacher said:

The emergence of the Communist Party and the CCP’s real goal is to have people hate Gods and Buddhas, to propagate atheism, to instill a philosophy of 'struggle,' and to thereby destroy humankind. And this is the reason Dafa disciples are to clarify the truth. The goal is to get rid of the evil’s lies, to enable people to see the CCP’s true face, to clear away the sins committed by people against Gods and Buddhas, and to thereby save the world’s people.”

While thinking about the problems that I've recently encountered in validating the Fa, yesterday I suddenly came to a new understanding of this article.

According to my observations, by now almost everybody in China knows about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Yet, a considerable number of people are still reluctant to do it. Many people become very irritated when practitioners try to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to them, and they don't want to hear a word about it, because they do not believe in gods. Some people feel that it has nothing to do with them, because they do not believe in gods. Some people will listen for a little while when you tell them that they should quit the CCP, but still they don't care. Some don't believe you when you tell them that they should quit the CCP in order to remove the mark of the beast that was embedded in them when they joined the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, because they do not believe in gods.

Some have quit the CCP and are very supportive of Falun Dafa practitioners' efforts to resist the persecution, but do not agree with the ideas of Falun Dafa, because they do not believe in gods.

Often when we encounter these self-proclaimed atheists while clarifying the truth, we take the approach of emphasizing that they should quit the CCP and remember that “Falun Dafa is good.” As for the issue of whether or not they believe in gods, we just leave it. We are afraid that if we speak on a high level or talk too much, we might push them in the opposite direction.

At this point in the Fa-rectification, more and more people are aware of the truth, but few people truly know what Dafa is, and even fewer people have started cultivating in Dafa. We've learned from the Fa that the main reason for this is that the old forces are preventing and stopping people from entering the practice of Falun Dafa in this time period. However, Teacher has told us that people's attitude toward Dafa is very important—it directly determines whether or not they will be able to obtain the Fa in the future. Therefore, I think when we try to clarify the truth and urge people to quit the CCP, it's not enough to just have them quit and remember that “Falun Dafa is good.” We also have to help them get rid of the atheistic mentality.

Teacher has taught us:

...under the influence of science human beings believe in gods less and less. And yet human beings were created by gods. Not only were they created by gods, the purpose of creating human beings was to allow lives that come from high levels to be saved when Fa-rectification takes place. ” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference”)

Then, isn't atheism stopping people from being saved? Isn't this mentality itself contradicting with Dafa? If an atheist says, “Falun Dafa is good,” then isn't this person insincere, not truly meaning or understanding what he or she is saying? If we don't help them wipe out their atheistic mentality, then aren't these people also facing the fate of being eliminated? Thus, when we clarify the truth, we should not only help them quit the CCP, but also help them get rid of their non-believing mentality. Once this mentality is gone, then they will have a chance to truly understand what Dafa is, and their future will be more assured.

This is my personal understanding of Teacher's recent article at my current cultivation level. If there's anything that's not appropriate, please kindly point it out. Heshi.
