(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zheng Hongying was recently handed a four-year sentence by the Qingyuan County Court during a secret trial. She was arrested on September 6, 2011, by Director of the Nankouqian Police Station Wang Yanbin and police officers. She was taken to the Fushun Detention Center.

Before practicing Falun Dafa, Ms. Zheng suffered from many illnesses, such as chronic headaches and gallstones. She was unable to work. Shortly after she began to cultivate, she became healthy and was able to work. Also, her relationship with her daughter-in-law improved. Her practice of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance significantly improved her character.

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) banned Falun Gong in July 1999, she was persecuted many times. In 2005, Xifeng County Court illegally sentenced her to a prison term. On December 25, 2007, she was released from the Shenyang Second Jail. Her friends and relatives witnessed the deterioration of her health after she was released from the prison. Fortunately, she recovered as soon as she could cultivate again.

On September 6, 2011 Ms. Zheng was clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa at the Huangjinbao Citizens' Group in Wangjiabao Village, Nankouqian Town. Villagers Li Guohua and his wife, Zhao Jing, falsely accused her of wrongdoing. Director Wang Yanbin and officers from the Nankouqian Police Station arrested her and took her to the Fushun Detention Center.

On November 18, 2011, she was illegally tried by the Qingyuan County Court. She told the court that she had not committed any crime. The lawyer her family members had hired from Beijing to defend her said, “She is a practitioner of Falun Gong and she was talking about becoming healthy. She distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and materials about Falun Dafa, which are activities permitted by the Chinese Constitution. The accusation put forth by Li Jing from the Qingyuan County Procuratorate has no legal basis, because 1) Falun Gong is not an organization, and 2) Falun Gong is not included in the list of 14 cults as publicly defined by the Ministry of Public Security and China's State Department on May 10, 2000. All these activities are legal based on the Chinese Constitution, and she did not hurt anyone. Therefore, she is innocent and should be released."

Li Jing continued to accuse her of wrongdoing and the court recessed.

Before the hearing, Ms. Zheng's relatives learned that Li's testimony was written by a police officer at the Nankouqian Police Station and copied by someone else that was asked to sign as a witness. The relatives, some of whom are also Falun Gong practitioners, provided this information to the court.

After the trial, three relatives of Ms. Zheng who are also practitioners, Wang Nanfang, Guan Yan and Chen Shuhua, were arrested by officers from the Yaozhan Police Station. They were detained for 15 days. Chen Shuhua was released, Wang Nanfang was rejected by a labor camp because of poor health, and Guan Yan was taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

In December three police officers from the Domestic Security Division of the County Police Bureau went to Ms. Zheng's home, told her husband that they would take orders only from their superiors, and were not interested in the evidence. They confiscated a copy of the court testimony.

Recently, Qingyuan County Court sentenced Ms. Zheng to a four-year prison term.
