(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia took part in the 9th International Health Fair 2012, in the Putra World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur, on December 7-9, 2012. This is the largest health fair of its kind in Malaysia.

More than 150 booths—covering a large array of health-related products and services—were included in the popular event. It was the fourth year in a row that Falun Gong practitioners participated in the fair. Their waist drum troupe was invited to give an on-stage performance, which was very warmly received.

Practitioners introduced the practice of Falun Gong and also demonstrated the five gentle exercises. Many people showed a keen interest in learning the exercises, with some learning them on the spot.

One woman told the practitioners that she was surprised to find out that the exercises and teachings were taught for free. She asked, “Your exercises are so great! Why don't you charge money for teaching them?” The practitioners told her that something this great should be shared with everyone, without charge.

Mr. Lin, a local resident of Kuala Lumpur, wanted to learn the first exercise immediately, after he heard about the benefits of Falun Dafa.

Some people asked about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Dafa in China. Practitioners told them that although the practice teaches the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance—which has greatly improved the health and morality of close to 100 million people—the CCP felt very threatened by the popularity of the practice. Thus, the Communist regime began a nationwide slander campaign to incite hatred towards Falun Dafa and its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, which preceded the launch of the persecution. After hearing the practitioners' explanation, more visitors became interested in the practice and took informational materials home with them.
