Taiwan: Photo Exhibition Exposes the CCP's Slanderous Lies (Photos)

December 13, 2012 |   By a practitioner in Taiwan

(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa 20th Anniversary Photography Exhibition was held from November 17-28, 2012, at the YunTech Library, in Douliou City, Taiwan. The exhibition, which was hosted by the YunTech Falun Dafa Club, featured photos of Dafa practitioners, explicit scenes of the brutal persecution of practitioners since 1999, and snapshots of people from around the world doing group exercises. The exhibition was held to promote awareness of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

Many people in Taiwan know that the Chinese regime suppresses Falun Dafa, but they are not very clear as to why they suppress it. Thus, the YunTech Falun Dafa Club put on a photo exhibition to help these people learn more about the practice. The exhibition was divided into four sections: the teachings of Falun Dafa, the popularity of the practice overseas, the persecution, and the support that Falun Dafa has garnered throughout the world. There were also videos available exposing the CCP's practice of live organ harvesting from practitioners in China.

A student from Taiwan stopped by the photo exhibition and mentioned that he had visited many China-based websites, thus he believes what the Chinese regime says about Falun Dafa. However, after a practitioner clarified the facts to him and showed him the exhibition photos, he was able to see through the CCP's lies and openly condemned the CCP for its crimes against humanity.

Another Taiwanese student explained that her roommate, who was born in China, once told her that the CCP suppresses Falun Gong because “Falun Gong practitioners had lit themselves on fire in Tiananmen Square.” Thus, the Taiwanese student had a very distorted image of Falun Gong. When she inquired about the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square in 2001, the practitioners told her that the CCP staged the entire event to justify the persecution of Falun Gong. The student finally understood the truth and said that she felt sorry that her roommate had been unknowingly hoodwinked by the CCP.

Some students from China stopped by the exhibition and after talking to the practitioners and viewing the photos, asked the practitioners to help them quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. However, other students from China only took pictures of the exhibit, as they were too afraid to accept the materials that were offered to them.

The practitioners said that they felt sorry for these Chinese students, as they live in sheer fear of the CCP, even though they are now living in a different country!
