(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 6 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tang County, Hebei Province] Persecution at Baoding Prison Led to Mr. Zheng Xiangxing's Cerebral Hemorrhage

Mr. Zheng Xiangxing suffered a cerebral hemorrhage as a direct result of being persecuted at Baoding Prison. He underwent brain surgery on October 26 at the Baoding Hospital. He is currently unconscious and hospital officials have denied him further treatment. Mr. Zheng's family requested to have him sent home, but officials refused to approve it. Additional security personnel have recently been added around the hospital.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Tao Detained

Mr. Jiang Tao, 36 years old, was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment in 2000. He was detained in many places, from the Daguang Detention Center in Changchun City, Balibao Detention Center, to Tiebei Prison and Jilin Prison. After 9 years of mistreatment, he returned home in 2009.

Mr. Jiang was arrested again on September 13, 2012, and is currently being held at Changchun Third Detention Center.

3. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xiong Qiuling Arrested

Agents from Leiyang City 610 Office, State Security Bureau, and the Caizichi Police Station surrounded Ms. Xiong Qiuling's home on the afternoon of October 28. They then broke in through the security door and ransacked her house. The agents later arrested Ms. Xiong and Mr. Liu Shiqing, a teacher at Leiyang Fifth Middle School who came to visit her.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Ye and Other Practitioners Arrested

When two Sujiatun District practitioners, Ms. Zhang Ye and Ms. Zhao, went out to put up truth-clarification posters on October 29, officials arrested them and ransacked their homes. Officials confiscated a computer, a printer, and Falun Gong books.

5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Yongme and Other Practitioners Arrested

Plainclothes police agents arrested two Shiliang Town practitioners, Ms. Zhou Yongmei and Ms. Wu, at a farmers' market in the morning on October 29. After detaining them at the Shiliang Police Station, the agents went to their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Police Ransacked Three Practitioners' Homes

Ms. Zhao Yue'e, almost 80 years old, lives in the Tianqiao District. Seven agents from the Xincheng Police Station went to her home on the morning of October 26. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. The agents also arrested two elderly women practitioners who were visiting her. All three practitioners have now returned home.

7. [Beijing] 610 Office Agents Harassed Mr. Yao Siping and Ransacked His Home

Mr. Yao Siping lives on Xilangxia Lane in the Guan Community. More than 20 agents from the Xicheng District Police and 610 Office went to his home on the morning of October 29, 2012. They ransacked his home and confiscated a computer and a printer.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Tian Yajun Arrested

Ms. Tian Yajun lives in Guandao Village in Liangxiang Town in the Fangshan District. Officials arrested her on the afternoon of October 29 and confiscated her personal belongings including a computer.

9. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shufang Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shufang is from Yiling Machinery Factory in Jingxing County. Weizhou Police Station agents arrested her when she distributed truth-clarification materials on October 14. They kept her in the police station for one day and, against her will, took a sample of her blood.

10. [Tianjin] Mr. Liu Baolin Arrested

Tianjin police arrested Dongli District practitioner Mr. Liu Baolin on the morning of October 30. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

11. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qin Yuelin Arrested

Xinhuajie Police Station officers made a locksmith open the door to Ms. Qin Yuelin's home on the evening of October 29, 2012, and arrested her.

12. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. He Shuwei Arrested

Mr. He Shuwei, who lives in Ximazhuang Village in Mucun Township, was arrested on the evening of October 28. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

13. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zeng Xiaojiao's Computer Confiscated by 610 Office Agents

Xiantao City 610 Office agents went to Ms. Zeng Xiaojiao's shop on the afternoon of October 29, 2012, and confiscated her computer.

14. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Jin Caihua Arrested and Taken to Brainwashing Center

Since October 24, 2012 several practitioners have been arrested, and taken to the Hanzhong Brainwashing Center, including Ms. Jin Caihua from Hanzhong City Second Machinery Factory. Officials arrested her at home on October 24 and took her to the Hanzhong Brainwashing Center.

15. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuqin and Ms. Bi Yanmei Arrested

Jianzigu Police Station agents arrested Ms. Zhang Xiuqin, about 60, and Ms. Bi Yanme, about 40, when they distributed truth-clarification materials on the morning of October 29. The agents ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong materials and other personal belongings including cash. The practitioners are now in the Dezhou City Detention Center.

16. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Mengjun Arrested

Shizikxiang Community staff went to Ms. Li Mengjun's home on October 29, 2012, and told her to stay at home 24 hours a day and not go out. When Ms. Li refused to cooperate, the staff contacted Dongping Town Police Station agents and arrested her. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.

17. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Cao Ailian Arrested

Ms. Cao Ailian, 50, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in 2005. She was also harassed many times after being released and her place was watched.

When Ms. Cao was working in a restaurant on the afternoon of October 17, three plainclothes police agents came, took her key, and ransacked her home. Officials later took her to the city police department and interrogated her. Ms. Cao refused to cooperate, did not say anything, and later returned home.

18. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shan Xiufang Harassed

Agents from Gaomi Development District Police Station went to Ms. Shan's home on the morning of October 25. Ms. Shan was not at home, but they forced her husband to open the door. The police confiscated one copy of Zhuan Falun and two DVDs.

19. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Qiuying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiuying took a bus from Beiluan County back to her home in Yanjiao Community on October 19. When police agents learned that she was a Falun Gong practitioner they arrested her. They also ransacked her home at the Yanjiao Community.

20. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Shuhua Still Detained

Ms. Wang, 63, is from Bohai Petroleum. When she told others the truth about Falun Gong in Donggu Community on the afternoon of September 18, agents from Nanjiang Police Department and Tanggu 610 Office arrested her and held her at the Zhaojiadi Detention Center in Tanggu. Police ransacked her home that evening. They confiscated Falun Gong books and materials as well as a photo of Falun Gong's founder.

Ms. Wang was previously sentenced to three years of imprisonment in 2001.
