(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 24 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Weiqing's Detained

Ms. Wang Weiqing was arrested by police while giving out informational materials about Falun Gong in Zhouling Village on the evening of October 4, 2012. She was taken to Jiujiang City Detention Center the next afternoon.

2. [Shunde, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Jinyang Arrested

Mr. Li Jinyang from Xiantao City, Hubei Province, had been sentenced to 3.5 years in prison on June 17, 2008. He was released in early 2012 and subsequently went to work in Shunde in Guangdong. He was arrested by police in early October 2012.

3. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Arrest of 12 Practitioners

Huangdao Police Department officers arrested 12 practitioners on September 8, 2012, including Ms. Gao Lihong, Ms. Hou Ruilan, Ms. Sun Guizhen, Ms. Wang Aige, Ms. Hou Jinfang, Ms. Zhan Shuzhen, Ms. Xue Yuying, Mr. Yu Xianggen, Ms. Zhao Lixia, Chen, a practitioner with surname Yang and a young male practitioner.

Deputy head of the police department Chen Yukui brought the head of the criminal division Ji Xinmin and 20-30 police officers to arrest these practitioners and and ransack their homes. The practitioners were taken to four police stations for interrogation.

Changjiang Street Police Station extorted 50,000 yuan in cash from Mr. Yu Xianggen's family.

Ms. Gao and Ms. Hou are being held in the Jimo Detention Center.

4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei] Ms. Yang Chunjie Arrested

Ms. Yang Chunjie and two other practitioners were speaking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of October 14, 2012. Ms. Yang was arrested and taken to the police station, while two other practitioners escaped.

5. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Jiahui Faces Trial

Xichang City Court officials planned to try Ms. Yang Jiahui from Hainan Village on October 17, 2012. She was arrested on July 26, 2012.

6. [ Wuxi, Jiangsu] Ms. Wu Wenying Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wu Wenying was arrested at home on the afternoon of August 29, 2012, by officers from the Nanzhan Police Station in the Xin District and 610 Office agents. Her house was ransacked. Ms. Wu has been detained at Wuxi Brainwashing Center for over 40 days.

8. [Changle, Shandong] Three Practitioners Sent to Brainwashing Center

Police officers from Changle County 610 Office and Domestic Security Division, including Chang Quanbin, arrested Mr. Chu Daoan, Mr. Li Jinzhong, and Ms. Zhang Shuying on September 13-14, 2012. Police confiscated the practitioners' Falun Gong books and materials, MP3 players and some cash. The three practitioners were sent to the Jingshan Reservoir Brainwashing Center. They have now been released.

9. [Yakeshi City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhou Chunying Arrested

Ms. Zhou Chunying was arrested on October 8, 2012, while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to people. Her home was ransacked.

10. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang] Ms. Hu Lanxiang Imprisoned

Retired farm worker Ms. Hu Lanxiang was arrested at her son's place in Beijing on August 5, 2012. She was taken to a prison in Inner Mongolia.

11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial

Mr. Liu Chengda, Ms. Tian Yuan, and Ms. Yang Qin were scheduled to be tried on October 16, 2012.

12. [Shimen County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Guilin Arrested

Ms. Zhu Guilin was arrested by Domestic Security Division officers on October 12, 2012.

13. [Beijing] Ms. Gao Shuqing Detained

Ms. Gao Shuqing from Shujiatuo was arrested at home on the evening of October 12, 2012, by a dozen police officers from Beijing Police Department for explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people on the phone. She was taken to the Haidian District Detention Center.
