(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 27 cities or counties and in 16 provinces. In this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Wen Mulan Arrested and Her whereabouts Is Unknown

Ms. Wen Mulan, 70, from Zhangjia Village, Jugezhuang Town in Miyun County, was arrested by officers from the local county domestic security division on February 1, 2012. She was secretly transferred and her whereabouts are unknown. Her 81 year-old husband is home alone with no one to care for him.

Ms. Wen has been arrested and her home ransacked many times. She has been sentenced to a forced labor camp twice. She was arrested six times by officers from the local county Domestic Security Division, 610 Office, Jugezhuang Police Station, and Dachengzi County Police Station between 2010 and 2011.

2. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang] More Information about Ms. Cai Ling and Mr. Chen Yujiang

Ms. Cai Ling from Urumqi was arrested by officers from the Shuimogou District and Sha District Criminal Police Division on August 24, 2012. Ms. Cai Ling's case has now been transferred to the Procuratorate.

Mr. Chen Yujiang was arrested and went missing, but has now been sent home because of his serious health condition, after being detained for a few months.

3. [Beijing] More Information on Practitioner's Arrest at Temple of Heaven Park

More than ten practitioners, including Ms. Wang Jixian, Ms. Gao Yuchi, and Ms. Wang Fengmei, were arrested by officers and plainclothes police at Beijing Temple of Heaven Park on July 16, 2012. The officers and plainclothes police burst into Ms. Liu Shuying's home the same afternoon. They arrested her and confiscated her computer and Dafa materials. All were detained at Beijing's Forced Labor Dispatch Center.

4. [Lindian County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yuru Sentenced to Three-Year Term

Ms. Wang Yuru from Lindian County in Daqing City was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the local Domestic Security Division on April 26, 2012. She was held at Daqing City No. 1 Detention Center for a month and was later released on medical parole because of her poor health. She was diagnosed with high blood pressure and heart attack. She has been harassed constantly.

Ms. Wang was illegally put on trail at Lindian County Court on August 28 and given a three-year sentence from the court on September 4, 2012. She was given ten days to appeal.

5. [Qiyang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Wen Weixiang Held in Detention Center

Ms. Wen Weixiang from Qiyang County was reported by a plainclothes officer and arrested by officers from Dazhong Police Station on August 28, 2012 while she was helping people quit the Chinese Communist Party. She was held at Qiyang County Detention Center.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Weili and Ms. Lu Lan Arrested

Ms. Chen Weili and Ms. Lu Lan from Changchun City were arrested on September 2, 2012 while they were clarifying the truth. They were both detained and Ms. Chen's home was ransacked.

7. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zou Chengmin Arrested

Mr. Zou Chengmin, is over 60 years old and works as a cleaner. He was arrested by six officers from the Jimo Criminal Police Brigade on August 27, 2012 while he was sweeping the street. He was detained at the Comprehensive Management Office of the Jimo Criminal Police Brigade. His home was later ransacked at 3:00 p.m. His three books of Zhuan Falun, a large sized picture of Master Li Hongzhi, and truth clarification materials were confiscated. Mr. Zou was released the same day after he was detained for 12 hours.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Xiuying Arrested

Ms. Han Xiuying from Zerzhuang community, Kuiwen District was arrested by officers from Weicheng District Domestic Security Division on September 3, 2012, while she was clarifying the truth. Her home was ransacked and two computers, four mobile phones, Dafa books, and truth clarification materials were confiscated.

10. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zou Chonghui Released After Being Extorted of Over 20,000 Yuan

Mr. He Dehou from Tangwanghe District was arrested around noon on September 3, 2012. His home was ransacked. He was transferred to Yichun Brainwashing Center on September 4.

12. [Chongqing] Ms. She Kairong and Ms. Chen Qibi Arrested

Ms. She Kairong and Ms. Chen Qibi, in their sixties, from Qijiang District were arrested by officers from the Qijiang Domestic Security Division on August 31, 2012, while they were distributing truth clarifying materials. Their homes were ransacked, and they were released in the evening.

Ms. Liu Meiling, 65, from Dongxihu District was arrested and taken to Hanxing Police Station in the Jianghan District on August 23, 2012, while she was clarifying the truth. She was taken to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center to serve a ten day detention

15. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Practitioner's Family Members Arrested by Officer Zhao Qiang and Taken as Hostages

Zhao Qiang, chief of the Chaoyang County Domestic Security Division, and his colleagues burst into Ms. Zhu Jianli's home on August 28, 2012, intending to arrest her. Fortunately, Ms. Zhu was not at home at the time. Officer Zhao Qiang then ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and other items. The following day, Zhao went to Ms. Zhu's home again and arrested her husband Mr. Sun Wenxing (non-practitioner), and held him hostage. Mr. Sun Wenxing is being held in the Chaoyang County Detention Center. Zhao also tapped Ms. Zhu's phone.

On June 12, 2012, officer Zhao Qiang also arrested Ms. Han Minglan's son, daughter-in-law, and her relatives, a total of over ten people, being held as hostages. Zhao also extorted 7,000-10,000 yuan from each of them. Ms. Han's two cars were confiscated. Zhao also tapped the phones of all of Ms. Han's relatives. Unfortunately, Ms. Han was arrested. The arrests of Ms. Han and her husband Mr. Xiu Shujun were both approved.

16. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Qin and Ms. Lei Guiling Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor

Ms. Lei Guiling, in her forties, and Ms. Wang Qin, around 30 years old, both from Mengyin County, were each sentenced to one year of forced labor on August 3, 2012. They have been transferred to Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp.

17. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yue Huaping Severely Persecuted and Can Hardly Walk

Ms. Yue Huaping from Huai'an City was arrested on May 22, 2012 while she was distributing truth clarifying materials. Her family saw that she had difficulty walking when she was on trial on September 3. They later learned that she had been severely abused, which caused her to develop many illnesses.

18. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Lei Held in Chifeng Detention Center

19. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuyun and Ms. Yan Yuqin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiuyun, 61, and Ms. Yan Yuqin, 62, from Shengli Oil Field were arrested on September 4, 2012, while they were clarifying the truth. They were held at the Auto Repair Factory Police Station, which is affiliated with Triumph Oil Field. Their homes were ransacked.

20. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yuxiu Arrested on September 4, 2012

21. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Suyun's Son Being Extorted

Ms. Zhang Suyun from Gongxinzhuang Village, Juncheng Community Office in Gaobeidian City was arrested on August 9, 2012. The police also arrested Ms. Zhang's son, using the excuse that he was hiding his mother's Falun Gong materials when they ransacked Ms. Zhang's home. Ms. Zhang Suyun's son was released after he was forced to pay 3000 yuan.

22. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guiying Arrested on September 4, 2012

23. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Bangsheng's Home Ransacked

Ms. Li Bangsheng's home was ransacked by about six officers from Madao Railway Police Bureau in Xichang on September 3, 2012. All of her Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials were confiscated.

24. [Quanzhou County, Guangxi Province] Mr. Deng Quan Arrested

Mr. Deng Quan, in his thirties, from Sisuo Village, Anhe Town, Quanzhou County, was arrested over twenty days ago and is being detained in Guilin City. He was handcuffed and shackled, and was severely tortured.

25. [Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chi Lihua Arrested

About five officers from both Yingkou City and Gaizhou City Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Chi Lihua's home on September 4, 2012. The police arrested Ms. Chi and two practitioners who were visiting at the time. All three practitioners were taken to Gulou Police Department. The police ransacked Ms. Chi's home and confiscated two computers and some Dafa books. Ms. Chi is being held in Yingkou Detention Center, and the other two practitioners were released on the same day.

26. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] More Information on Mr. Qian Bin's persecution

Mr. Qian Bin from Tai'an City was arrested early on the morning of May 8, 2012, while he was posting truth clarification materials. He was taken to Zhanqian Police Station and handcuffed to the iron chair until 10:00 a.m.. His wrists were in great pain and became deformed because he was tightly handcuffed. Mr. Qian was released after 18 hours of detention.

The police learned of Mr. Qian's workplace, ransacked Mr. Qian's home two days later, and took him to a local police station again. He was held for five days and was extorted of 150 yuan. His company has since stopped his wages, and only pays him enough for basic living expenses.

27. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Yuping Arrested

28. [Xuanwei City, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and One Under House Arrest

Ms. Xu Yanjing is a teacher from Xuanwei Teacher's College. Her home was ransacked by over twenty officers from Qujing City and Xuanwei City Domestic Security Division on August 31, 2012. Ms. Xu's two computers, Dafa books, and other items were confiscated. She was then taken to Xuanwei City Detention Center. Ms. Xu Yanjing's nephew, Mr. Xu Ziyi's home (non-practitioner) was ransacked as well. Mr. Xu Ziyi was taken to Xuanwei City Detention Center. He was released in the evening.

Mr. Li Xuemin is an employee of the Xuanwei Department of Road Administration. His wife, Ms. Tang Hui, is a teacher at Xuanwei Teacher's College. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a printer, a computer, and other personal belongings. Mr. Li and his wife were taken to the Xuanwei City Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Chun, was previously a teacher at Xuanwei Teacher's College. She was taken home by officers from the Xuanwei City Domestic Security Division when she was on a business trip on September 1, 2012. She was placed under house arrest and forbidden to contact anyone. Ms. Yang was sentenced to a five-year term in 2007, and was released in late 2011. She was dismissed by Xuanwei Teacher's College when she was sentenced in 2007.

29. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yuan Youzhi Held in Baiheshan Detention Center

Ms. Yuan Youzhi, in her seventies, is from Dingcheng District, Changde City. She was reported to the authorities on August 16, 2012 while she was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to people. Officers from the local police station and Caoping Town Comprehensive Management Office ransacked her home that night and took her away the next day. She is being held in Baiheshan Detention Center in Changde City.

31. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] More Information on Mr. Chen Liguo and Mr. Cui Guoyi

Mr. Chen Liguo, 54, and Mr. Cui Guoyi, 58, both from Baishan City, were followed and arrested by officers from the Jiangbei Police Department in Baishan City while they was posting truth clarification materials. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Cui is being held in the Baishan Detention Center. Mr. Chen was secretly taken to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City to serve a 18-month forced labor term without any notification to his family.

32. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Liu Yong Arrested

Mr. Liu Yong was arrested at Nayun Town, Menglian County, Pu'er City by officers from Menglian Police Department on September 1, 2012. He is being held in the Menglian Detention Center. Mr. Liu's rental home was ransacked by five officers from Wuhua Police Department in Kunming City and Heilinpu Police Station on September 3. The police kicked open the locked door, and confiscated his printer, computer, CD writer, and Minghui Weekly materials.
