1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Update on Mr. Sun Zhengyun's Arrest

Officers from the Dalian Domestic Security Division and Jinzhou District Zhongchang Police Station barged into the Huiyuan Noodle House and illegally arrested Mr. Sun Zhengyun on the afternoon of August 23, 2011. They ransacked Mr. Sun's home and confiscated a laptop, a printer, eight cell phones, Falun Gong books, and other items. Mr. Sun is being held in the Jinzhou Detention Center.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jing Guihua Arrested, Her Home Ransacked

Ms. Jing Guihua from Qianshan Road, Ganjingzi, Dalian, was arrested on the afternoon of August 25, 2011. Her home was ransacked.

3. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Guohua Arrested

Ms. Zhao Guohua from Jinshantun, Yichun, was arrested at home by eight officers from the Jinshantun 610 Office and the Tuanjie Police Station on the morning of August 25, 2011. Ms. Zhao has been sent to the Yichun Brainwashing Center.

4. [Jilin City, Jili Province] Ms. Yu Lan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yu Lan was arrested by officers from the Huangqi Police Station near the Chuanying District Court in Jilin City on the morning of August 19, 2011. She was later sent to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center in Jilin City.

On August 23, 2011, officers ransacked Mr. Yu's home and confiscated photos of Falun Gong's founder, a wall calender, and other items.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Yanhua Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Ms. Zhu Yanhua from Dalian was arrested at home on December 5, 2010, and held in the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian. She has been sentenced to seven years in prison and sent to Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison (also known as Dabei Women's Prison in Shenyang).

6. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Mr. Wang Yongli and Other Practitioners

Mr. Wang Yongli, about 40 years old, is an employee of the Xian Gear Factory. He was arrested by officers from the Zaoyuan Police Station of the Lianhu Police Department of Xian on the afternoon of August 18, 2011.

Ms. Wang Xiaoling and another practitioner, an 80-year-old woman, were arrested at the same time. All three are being held in the Lianhu Detention Center of Xian.

On the morning of August 23, 2011, over 20 plainclothes officers broke into Mr. Wang Yongli's and Ms. Wang Xiaoling's homes and ransacked their homes.

7. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhu Xiurong and Ms. Zhang Zhenqin Arrested

Ms. Zhu Xiurong from Zhaigezhuang, Liqizhuang Town, Sanhe, was arrested on August 17, 2011.

Ms. Zhang Zhenqin, in her 60s, from Chengzi Village, Yanjiao Town, was arrested on August 21, 2011.

8. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Cuiping Arrested

Ms. Li Cuiping, about 68 years old, is a retired veterinarian from the Changzhi Livestock Bureau. She was arrested by Li Qingsong from the Chengqu Police Department's 610 Office when she was distributing materials clarifying the facts about Falun Gong on July 15, 2011.

9. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhuang Qinggui Arrested

Ms. Zhuang Qinggui, 68, from Lanshan District, Linyi, was arrested at home by agents from the Linyi City 610 Office, Yinqueshan Office, and Chezhan Police Station on August 3, 2011. She is being held in the Linyi Brainwashing Center.

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Cong Peilan Arrested

Ms. Cong Peilan was arrested by officers from the Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division on the evening of August 21, 2011. She is being held in the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Guizhi and Ms. Meng Xiangzhi are also being held there.

11. [Guizhou Province] Ms. Tao Tianzhen Arrested

Ms. Tao Tianzhen, 66, from Guizhou was arrested on August 24, 2011, while she clarified the facts about Falun Gong at the Gaofeng Town Market in Pingba. She was taken to the Pingba Detention Center.

12. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Huang Hua Arrested

Mr. Huang Hua, about 40 years old, was an employee of the state-run Hongguang Factory in Nanxi County, Yibin. He was arrested by agents from the Yibin 610 Office and Nanxi 610 Office on August 22, 2011. He was taken to a brainwashing center located at the Caiba Senior House near the airport in Yibin and is currently held there.

Ms. He Xiaohua was arrested by local police officers on August 21, 2011.

14. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Long Youshi and Ms. Chen Lianmei Arrested

Ms. Long Youshi, 59, and Ms. Chen Lianmei, 70, both from the Kaifu District, Changsha, were reported and arrested on August 15, 2011, while explaining the facts and distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in the Xianglong Community, Xingsha Town, Changsha County. They are being held in the Changsha County Detention Center.

15. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Xiu Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Xiu from Lijiatuo, Banan District, Chongqing, was taken to a brainwashing center by agents from the Neighborhood Committee and plainclothes officers on August 24, 2011.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Yunni Taken to Xinjin Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yang Yunni, a physician at the Jinniu Experimental Middle School of Chengdu, was taken from her school to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center by school authorities, agents from the Jinniu District 610 Office and staff from the Huangzhong community on August 22, 2011.

17. [Baoquanling, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Agriculture Reclamation Bureau Police Department of Baoquanling arrested seven local practitioners on the evening of August 22, 2011: Ms. Li Guiyun, Mr. Li Weiguo, Ms. Zhao Hongyu, Ms. Qi Xiumei, Ms. Lu Xing, Ms. Wang Fengyu and Mr. Liu Hongbin.

Ms. Hu from Harbin City who went to Baoquanling on business was also arrested.

The seven local practitioners' homes were ransacked. All eight practitioners were taken to the Baoquanling Detention Center and later to the Hegang City Detention Center. Ms. Wang Fengyu was released on August 24, 2011.

Ms. Kan Shufeng, 64, was arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of August 13, 2011. She is being held in the Chaoyang Detention Center in Beijing.

20. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Qian's Home Ransacked

Officers from the Futian District Police Department and the Jingtian Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhang Qian's home in Shenzhen on the evening of July 20, 2011. They took her Falun Gong books, a computer, a notebook, a cell phone, cash and a shopping card valued at 80,000 yuan.

21. [Shanwei City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Staff from the Haifeng County Political and Legislative Committee of Shanwei, agents from the 610 Office and officers from the Xinyuan Police Station of Haicheng Town arrested Mr. Huang Shengwei, Ms. Ye Yingchun and Mr. Chen Jianguo on August 20, 2011. They confiscated Ms. Ye Yingchun's computer and printer and Mr. Chen Jianguo's DVD/CD-burning tower and other materials.

Mr. Li Zuojun from the Chenghai District, Shantou, was taken to the Shantou Brainwashing Center by agents from the Chenghai 610 Office on August 12, 2011.

23. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Luo Yanling Held in Songjiang Detention Center in Jilin City

Ms. Luo Yanling from the Qunling Forest Farm in Shulan City was working in Kunming and went to the Kunming Social Security Bureau to complete some procedures for insurance on May 23, 2011. However, the staff who were handling the procedures turned her in for her belief in Falun Gong, and she was subsequently arrested. Ms. Luo is being held in the Songjiang Detention Center of Jilin City.

24. [Nanle County, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Chaowei and Mr. Tong Ruiqing Persecuted in Nanle County Detention Center

Officers from the Liaocheng District of Shandong Province collaborated with officers from Handan City, Hebei Province to persecute Mr. Tong Ruiqing and Mr. Wang Chaowei. The two practitioners are being held in the Nanle County Detention Center and are suffering cruel beatings and verbal abuse. Mr. Tong has been forced to wear handcuffs and shackles for over 40 days.

25. [Chaohu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Sun Guizhi Passed Away Due to Persecution

Ms. Sun Guizhi from Wuwei County, Chaohu, was arrested at the door of the Wuwei government by agents from the county 610 Office and the local Police Department on June 24, 2010. She was sent to the Hefei Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she was cruelly persecuted and consequently developed symptoms of severe illness. Fearing being held responsible for her deteriorating condition, the camp authorities ordered Ms. Sun's family to take her home on May 19, 2011. Ms. Sun passed away on June 25, 2011, at the age of 59.
