(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Shao Chengluo has been a doctor of Chinese medicine for over 20 years. He is a very skilled doctor, is kind-hearted, and is highly respected by local villagers and patients. Nonetheless this good person was illegally sentenced to a seven-year prison term by the Chengyang Court because he practices Falun Gong. He has been imprisoned since July 21, 2006 in the Shandong Province Prison, and has been tortured relentlessly. As of March 2011, Mr. Shao Chengluo was emaciated, his body functions had declined, and he was critically ill. His family was refused visits for nearly three years.

On the afternoon of July 6, 2011, Mr. Shao's family again visited Jinan. At 3:30 p.m., after a two-hour wait, guard Wei (phone number 3702642) met with them and said that they had to indicate their attitudes towards Falun Gong, otherwise their meeting with Mr. Shao would be refused. After 20 minutes, Li Wei said, "Only his son can see him. All of you have to leave!" Mr. Shao Chengluo walked with great difficulty. The man was emaciated, appeared mentally disoriented, and there were wounds on his lips. Mr. Shao said his right fingers were numb, he could not hold anything, and had not been able to eat for some time. He only drank salt water.

Before practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Shao had suffered from many illnesses, including heart cerebrovascular disease, heart disease, and cervical vertebra and gallbladder disease. After practicing Falun Dafa, he became healthy within a very short period of time, and his mind and body improved.

1. Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labor in 2001

On June 8, 2001, Mr. Shao Chengluo was sentenced to three years of forced labor for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was tortured, including with a torture method called “eat shoe cake.” During this torture his head was slapped with shoes. He lost most of his hair.

Mr. Shao was taken to Wang Village Forced Labor Camp in Zibo for brainwashing. He was handcuffed to chair for a long time, which caused his hands to turn black. The guards tortured his sensitive parts with electric batons. One guard, holding an electric baton, said, “We may kill you eventually and tell the public that you committed suicide.” Mr. Shao's body was blue and purple from the beatings, and his legs were black. After his health took a turn for the worse, Mr. Shao was taken to a hospital for treatment. The guards then demanded money from Mr. Shao's family to pay the medical fees.

Mr. Shao Chengluo was detained beyond his term and released on July 15, 2004.

2. Sentenced to a Seven-Year Prison Term in 2006

On May 12, 2006, Shao Chengluo was arrested at the Dongdayang Village Food Market, Hongdao Street by five local police officers and seven United Defense guards. They took him to the Hongdao Police Station, and tortured him while calling him a anti-revolutionist, until he lost consciousness.

Mr. Shao became crippled from the beating. He could no longer walk, and was taken to the town hospital for an ultrasound. One military police officer slapped Mr. Shao Chengluo in the face with a 60-cm-long knife six times. Mr. Shao told him that it was illegal to hit people, so they claimed that they were beating an anti-revolutionary, which made the beatings acceptable.

On July 20, 2006, the written judgement from the Chengyang Court was delivered to the detention center. Mr. Shao was given a seven-year prison term. On July 21, he was taken to Shandong Province Prison.

Mr. Shao Chengluo was subjected to many different torture methods, including sticking the body with sewing needles, hitting the ribs with wooden sticks, hitting with sticks with nails, beating with a stool leg, slapping with shoes, twisting arms, walking on his belly, breaking arms and ribs, tying hands and legs together and sitting on an upside down stool.

Mr. Shao Chengluo's body was full of bruises and cuts from the torture, and there were over ten scars on his back. He went on a hunger strike to protest the torture many times, and vicious criminals were ordered to force-feed him. They even poured very hot water down the force-feeding funnel. The doctors claimed that they were force-feeding a pig. Zheng Jian, a criminal prisoner, and the physician-in-charge of the admissions office were extremely vicious. They used a screwdriver when force-feeding him and broke two teeth.

In March, 2011, Mr. Shao Chengluo was emaciated from the torture, his limbs were numb, he had muscular atrophy and declined body function, and he couldn't eat. Mr. Shao asked Li Wei, director of the No. 11 Prison District, to be fed through a tube, but he was refused. Zhang Yongsheng said, “Do you know why head Li Wei does not help feed you? He wants to starve you to death! The death will be educational!” Mr. Shao Chengluo could only drink water, vegetable soup, and instant noodle seasoning.

Mr. Shao Chengluo's wife had come to Jinan many times to see him, but was refused visiting rights. She has not seen her husband for nearly three years.
