(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Shuhua has been illegally imprisoned three times since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong. She was injected with unknown drugs against her will while incarcerated. Her mental state has been adversely affected by the medication and the problem continues to this day.

Ms. Liu Shuhua suffered many illnesses before she started practicing Falun Gong. In 1998, after she started the practice, she strove to be a good person by following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. All of her illnesses quickly went away and she experienced improvement both physically and spiritually.

However, when the CCP began its suppression, Ms. Liu Shuhua thought that the government did not know the facts about Falun Gong, and wanted to tell the government how she had benefited from the practice. So she went to Beijing to appeal in August 2001. But when she got to Beijing, she was illegally arrested and sent to an unknown forced labor camp.

The authorities at the forced labor camp often used very crude methods to torture Ms. Liu Shuhua. For example, they wrapped her head in tape and injected drugs into her ears. Then, they put very heavy shackles on her feet and hands. She was handcuffed to a headboard and not allowed to sleep. Her ears became deformed as a result of the injections. Only after Liu Shuhua returned home in 2002, did her ears begin to heal. Around the same time, she started to show signs of mental illness. Sometimes she would be fine, but other times she behaved like a person with a mental disorder.

Although she was not mentally stable, Zhang Yanguang, Liu Xu, and other officers from Zhougezhuang Police Station of Damujia Township, Gaomi City arrested Ms. Liu Shuhua again in 2004. She was sent to Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for a year.

On October 17, 2007, officers from Zhougezhuang Police Station again arrested Ms. Liu Shuhua and held her at the Gaomi Detention Center. In January 2008, Ms. Liu was again sent to Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp for a year. Prison police ordered the detained drug addicts to torture Ms. Liu in various ways, including standing for prolonged periods of time, preventing her from sleeping, crushing her fingers, inserting objects into her vagina, beating her, berating her, etc. As a result, Ms. Liu, who was just beginning to recover from the mental disorder, had a relapse.

Ms. Liu Shuhua’s mental state remains unstable. In July of this year, her condition became worse. On July 5, she left home and didn't know how to get back. Fortunately, she was discovered by some kindhearted people, and her family brought her home.

Ms. Liu's body shakes continuously; she constantly cries, and she mutters words that no one understands. Oftentimes, she refuses to eat or drink, and she doesn't sleep. The police spread false information that her condition was the result of practicing Falun Gong.
