(Clearwisdom.net) Sochaczew is a small city approximately 50 km southwest of Warsaw, Poland, with a population of less than 40,000 people. Although it is small, it has nearly one thousand years of history. The city first held "Summer of Sochaczew 2011,” featuring a series of cultural activities displaying the small city's characteristics of modern and traditional life. On August 14, 2011, the city government's website introduced the city's Del Mondo Drum Band, and also invited the Falun Dafa Association to introduce Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) and Chinese culture to the local people.

Practitioners arrived at the central square in Sochaczew at 3:00 p.m.. They set up a yellow tent, and hung a large banner reading “Falun Dafa in Poland” inside. More than ten display panels were placed in a long row in front of the tent, extending to the center of the square. There was a table outside the tent on which were introductory and truth-clarification materials, and a signature collection book condemning the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution. Practitioners stood on the main stage, introducing Falun Gong to the audience and exposing how the CCP brutally persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. After the introduction, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises accompanied by the peaceful exercise music. At the same time, several practitioners taught people who were interested to make paper lotus flowers.

The majority of people on the square who had heard the facts about Falun Gong signed the petition to oppose the CCP's persecution and call for an end to it.

Making folded paper lotus flowers was the children's favorite activity. Their parents and many young people were also enthusiastic about it. After they left with beautiful paper lotus flowers they had made, they repeatedly said in Chinese “Falun Dafa is great!” – the sentence they had just learned.

The Del Mondo drum band was established in 2010, and has become popular among households in Sochaczew because they often participate in local activities. When they heard the facts about Falun Gong, especially that more than 100 million Chinese people have announced their withdrawal from the CCP organizations, they wanted to play to extend their congratulations. The band leader and several members wore yellow T-shirts printed with the words “Falun Dafa Is Good,” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong” during their performance. They hope that more Chinese people can break away from the CCP organizations. Practitioners thanked the band for their righteous support.

As the cheerful drums reverberated in Sochaczew's central square, the small city was filled with joy and happiness.
