(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in Poland held activities in Jelenia Gora (also called Hirschberg) on August 5, 2011, to introduce Falun Gong to local residents and to expose the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution of Falun Gong over the past 12 years.

Jelenia Gora means “deer mountain,” as does the German name Hirschberg. It was the first time Falun Gong practitioners held activities in this town. They set up displays and a table on the local city hall square, distributed introduction flyers, and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the persecution. Practitioners also demonstrated Falun Gong exercises, which drew great interest from the local passersby.

One lady said, “Social things are getting worse and worse. People don't seem to care much about right and wrong. Your activity is very meaningful! It reminds us of the importance of basic moral values.” Another lady observed the Falun Gong exercises for a long time. She said repeatedly, “The movements are beautiful! The peaceful music reminds me of a peaceful world, without wars, fighting, or bad things in society. I wish I could live in that world.”

A young man was greatly disturbed by the brutality of the persecution of Falun Gong. He signed the petition and came back several times to get Falun Gong flyers to distribute in nearby restaurants. He told everyone he met about the persecution and told them to go the city hall square that day to learn more about Falun Gong. His grandmother made a special trip to the square to sign the petition.

A reporter came to the activities and interviewed the practitioners. A detailed report was published with pictures as the headline on the Hirschberg information center's home page.
