(Clearwisdom.net) At 7 p.m. on July 17, 2011, more than 1500 Falun Gong practitioners participated in a candlelight vigil to commemorate fellow practitioners who were tortured to death in China for not giving up their belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.
The candlelight vigil and a press conference were held despite heavy rain. The atmosphere was solemn and touching. Two local TV stations and Liberty Times covered the event.
On July 17, 2011, more than 1500 Falun Gong practitioners participated in a candlelight vigil to commemorate fellow practitioners tortured to death in China.

Facing the persecution, practitioners are still demanding that the perpetrators stop the persecution. Practitioners still advise people to understand the facts about Falun Gong and stop the persecution.”

More and more people support Falun Gong. So far, the CCP has shown no signs of ending the persecution. We ask all the CCP officials involved to stop the persecution. Otherwise, history will try them.”

He stressed, “As long as the CCP is in power, the persecution won’t stop. Such a regime will soon collapse.”

He said, “I sincerely admire Falun Gong practitioners. You conduct this activity even in the rain to show your determination to stop the persecution and seek freedom of belief. Now the exchanges across the strait are very frequent. If the people of Taiwan people do not want to stand up to stop the CCP persecution of Falun Gong, who will speak up for us when the CCP state machine enters Taiwan? The CCP persecutes religious belief. I hope that the CCP regime collapses soon and that the Chinese people can have freedom of belief.”

Professor Wu Hui-lin, Director of the China Human Rights Association, called into question China's economic rise. He pointed out that there are severe social and economic problems in China and that protests have mushroomed. Many tourists from the mainland visit Taiwan and learn the facts about the persecution. He hoped that the tourists would bring the facts back to the mainland and tell their friends and relatives, which would accelerate the disintegration of the CCP.
One practitioner said, “As long as the persecution does not stop, we will continue our efforts to stop it.” It is a sentiment shared by all practitioners.
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 16, Falun Gong practitioners from Taichung, Taiwan, held a rally and a candlelight vigil at Wenhsin Forest Park, peacefully resisting the 12-year-long persecution of Falun Gong in China. People from all walks of life in Taichung—including medical fields, the law, academia, education, and business—came to the rally to express their support for Falun Gong. The attendees held banners to bring more attention to the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Kao Chiajun, the trustee of the Association of Medicine in Taichung, said that he always accepts Falun Gong practitioners' invitations to all kinds of activities, because they are the best organized and most peaceful.

Mr. Kao expressed his concern about the organ harvesting. “Friends of mine in the medical community didn't believe it at first. Later, more and more evidence emerged, which shocked them.” He said that it is intolerable that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong so brutally.
Mr. Kao emphasized that there is a lot that people can do to stop the persecution. He said that the former Soviet Union seemed to be strong, but it crashed over night, so as long as we persist, the CCP will crash, too, and Falun Gong's reputation will be restored. He also called upon his colleagues in the medical community not to help the CCP to persecute Falun Gong.
Professor Liao Yi'en from Chunghsing University spoke at the rally. He reviewed the history of how Taiwanese people have fought for democracy. He said that their experiences will give confidence to other Chinese people all over the world, including Falun Gong practitioners. He said that one of the purposes of the rally was to let them know that many people in Taiwan support them. He also thanked practitioners for their efforts.

Professor Qiu Taisan from Asia University is the chair of the department of Finance and Law. He was the vice mayor of Kaohsiung City, a prosecutor, and a city council member. He pointed out that the teachings of Falun Gong have been well accepted by society, but practitioners are still being persecuted in China. He said that the CCP has been violating basic human rights. The persecution, especially the organ harvesting, remind people of the Nazi's genocide and is intolerable.
Professor Qiu thanked Falun Gong practitioners for their efforts to fight for human rights. He said that, although the journey is long, justice will prevail if we stand together and persevere.
Mr. Li Tiansheng, a city council member, promoted the resolution that forbids human rights violators from China from visiting Taiwan. At the rally, Mr. Li said that more than half of the council members voted to pass this resolution. He hopes that the CCP would respect human rights and stop the persecution. Mr. Li also said that he refuses to visit China. He will never go there until the human rights situation improves.

After the press conference, practitioners held many banners along Wenhsin Street. They also handed out truth-clarifying materials. Many local citizens expressed their support, encouraging them to keep up their efforts. Some drivers stopped and asked for Falun Gong materials, and some of them shouted, praising practitioners for their courage and efforts.

After sunset, practitioners held a candlelight vigil in Forest Park, commemorating those who were tortured to death in China and calling upon the public to help stop the persecution.

Practitioners in the Selangor Area of Malaysia conducted a group practice and held a candlelight vigil at dusk on July 17, 2011, in Taman Jaya, Petaling Jaya, to commemorate those practitioners who have lost their lives because of the persecution and to call for it to stop.

The peaceful and solemn scene drew the attention of many. Mr. Fauzi, a Malay resident, learned about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China and said that Chinese people should enjoy freedom of belief and Falun Gong practitioners shouldn't have been treated this way. “Such a good practice that can bring people peaceful minds and improved health shouldn't be persecuted,” he said.
An Indian man said that people in Malaysia need such a good practice, because it can guide people to be good and improve their health.
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 17, Falun Gong practitioners from Pingtun, Taiwan held a candlelight vigil at the popular tourist spots, Eluanbi Park and Hengchun Historic Remains, commemorating those who have been tortured to death during the persecution in China. Several local council members participated in the vigil.

These two tourists spots are the most famous ones in southern Taiwan. Many Chinese tourists visit every day. Falun Gong practitioners held banners at the park, and passed out many truth-clarifying materials to Chinese people.

Practitioners played a truth-clarifying film for the council members. Council member Zeng Qionghui said that she will give the book Bloody Harvest, by independent investigators David Matas and David Kilgour, about the harvesting of organs from living practitioners, to President Ma Yingjiu, and ask the President to help stop the persecution.
Mr. Yang Qiunan, the principal of Saichia Elementary School in Pingtung and a Falun Gong practitioner, told the council members his own experience of being discriminated against in Hong Kong. He also briefly reviewed some facts of the persecution, and told the council members that it has been confirmed that 3,428 practitioners have been tortured to death. Many more are jailed or have had to leave their homes due to the persecution.

Mr. Yang Qiunan also called upon Taiwanese people, who enjoy freedom, to pay more attention to the persecution and support Falun Gong practitioners.
Ms. Liu Huaying is from Shandong, China. She married a Taiwanese man and came to Taiwan 17 years ago. She said that when she was visiting China years ago, she witnessed policemen arresting Falun Gong practitioners. She started practicing Falun Gong about six years ago. Now, she spends a lot of time making phone calls to China, telling people the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution. She also urges Chinese people to quit the CCP. “Many Chinese have recognized the evil nature of the CCP. It is not very hard to convince them to quit the Party now,” she said.
Several practitioners said that they have benefited a lot from practicing Falun Gong, so they wanted to join the event to tell people that Falun Dafa is good.
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 17, Falun Gong practitioners from all over Japan held a grand parade in Tokyo, calling for an end to the persecution in China.

The parade started at 1:00 p.m. and traveled the busiest streets in Tokyo. The Divine Land Marching Band led the group. Following the band, practitioners held photos of those who were tortured to death. There was also a banner team. Several speakers broadcast the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. Practitioners also handed out truth-clarifying materials.
Although it was 95 degrees, many people were out, since it was a long weekend holiday in Japan. Many watched the parade and read the Falun Gong materials. Many Chinese tourists and students were also happy to accept the materials. Several of them said that they wanted to know more about Falun Gong.
Many Japanese were shocked by the brutality of the persecution. A young lady said that she had been to China and had heard about the persecution. To her, it was unbelievable that Chinese people don't have freedom of belief. She said, “People in Hong Kong have freedoms, but people in China don't. Not only do they not have the freedom of belief, but the government also persecutes them. That shows what a tyrannical government it is.”
Over the last 12 years, Japanese police have helped to keep order and direct the traffic at every large scale Falun Gong activity. One policeman commented that he has seen Falun Gong many times. “I didn't know who they were at the beginning, but later I learned that they are very nice people. I have sympathy for them, and I also support them. I admire their peacefulness, solid belief, and courage.”
The persecution of Falun Gong is still going on in China. Mr. Dai Xianbing, a practitioner living in Japan, told the reporter that his brother, Dai Xianxi, also a practitioner, was arrested in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, on May 26, when he was passing out Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. He is still jailed in a detention center in Dongguan. His family has called the police station, asking why he was arrested, but they've never been given an answer. They don't even know who is handling his case. On July 12, they were informed that Dai Xianxi was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Dai Xianbing joined the grand parade. He said, “I hope that more people will learn about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, which is still going on. I call upon all kind people to help stop it.”
Ms. Ge, a practitioner living in Japan, said that her sister, who also practices Falun Gong, was sentenced to three years for handing out Falun Gong materials. She is still incarcerated in Hebei Province Women's Prison. Her mother, a practitioner, is often harassed by local police. Ms. Ge said, “The persecution has been going on for 12 years. It is very meaningful for us to hold activities on July 20, so that Japanese people, as well as Chinese, will learn about it and help to stop it.”

In the morning, practitioners demonstrated the exercises in front of the train station, and played truth-clarifying films. Many Chinese tourists watched them. Some were shocked by the brutality of the persecution, which is being covered up in China. They asked for more detailed information about the persecution, and more materials for their friends and family in China. Many Chinese tourists took photos of the group exercises.
Mr. Lin, a local practitioner, said that many Taiwanese thought that the Chinese Communist Party had changed, but actually the human rights violations, notably the persecution of Falun Gong, are still going on in China.
Ms. Yang, a local citizen, was shocked by the organ harvesting. She said: “We have heard that it is really cheap to have organ transplants in China. We were wondering how they had so many organs available. Now I know the truth. Harvesting organs is inhumane.” Ms. Yang believes that everyone should step up to help stop the persecution. “Being quiet is helping the evil,” she said.

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for 12 years, since July 20, 1999.
The Communist Party’s atrocities have been exposed, and the international community has condemned the crimes. The Party has also spread lies abroad and interfered with many Falun Gong events. Chinese consulates have refused to renew passports for Falun Gong practitioners, blocked them and their families from visiting their hometowns in China, and even threatened overseas practitioners’ relatives living in China. However, all of these tactics only serve to expose the Party’s unscrupulous nature.
The following is a list of a few cases of harassment and persecution of Vancouver practitioners.
Denying passport renewal
When Falun Gong practitioners’ passports expire, the Chinese consulate refuses to renew them, leaving them without any citizenship. This was the recent experience of two Vancouver practitioners.

Ms. Lu Qun’s passport expired on April 19, 2011, and she applied for renewal on February 9. She inquired in person on April 6 and was told she would receive a reply later that afternoon, but did not get any response. She returned to the consulate on April 19. An official requested a private meeting with her, during which he clearly told her, “I can renew your passport, but we hope you will stop protesting in front of the Chinese Consulate.” Lu Qun answered, “If the persecution doesn’t end, the protest will not end, either.” She was stripped of her citizenship.

Ms. Dong had lived in Singapore for 14 years and she applied for a new passport at the Chinese Consulate in Singapore on June 19, 2009. After over a year, she still didn’t get her new passport. She then decided to try the consulate in Vancouver. She traveled to Vancouver on August 24, 2010, submitted an application on August 30, 2010 and was told to pick up her passport on November 1. On September 8, however, an official called her at 11 a.m. and said her passport could not be renewed. She asked why and the official said, “No reason.”
Pro-CCP dignitaries intervene with protest

Vancouver practitioners started around-the-clock protests in front of the Chinese Consulate in August 2001, which had a huge impact. Many local people learned about the persecution through these practitioners, which made the protest site a sore spot for the CCP.
On June 9, 2006, the Vancouver Courier reported that the former mayor of Vancouver, Li Jian Bao, met with two Consular Generals to discuss the protest structures in front of the Consulate. He believed that Canada is a country that values freedom of speech and belief, so he refused to take action against the protesters.
However, the situation changed when Sam Sullivan was elected mayor of Vancouver in November 2005.
On August 11, 2006, Sullivan applied to the B.C. Supreme Court, based on the city's traffic regulations, to demand that the court issue an injunction, ordering the practitioners to remove their protest boards and their small blue hut on Granville Street, which had been there for more than five years.
The practitioners appealed the court's decision. In January 2009, the B.C. Supreme Court granted the city of Vancouver an injunction to remove the structures outside the Consulate, and the practitioners did so. But then they appealed again and continued to protest in front of the Consulate with informational banners. On October 19, 2010, the B.C. Court of Appeals ruled that Falun Gong practitioners had won the legal battle.
Former Vancouver city councilor Tim Louis said: "It's not a secret that the communist regime had been pressuring the city of Vancouver and told them to stop Falun Gong practitioners' protest in front of the consulate."
When asked by the lawyer, Sullivan denied having any contact with the Chinese Consulate before he made the decision to dismantle the protest billboards and the blue hut. Later on, when he was asked again, he said after he sent the application to the court he was invited to a private dinner by Yang Qiang held at the ex-Consular General's residence, where Sullivan provided the latest information regarding the protest site. He told Yang that he had submitted an application to the B.C. Supreme Court, and the results would come out soon.
The communist regime put much effort into stroking Sullivan. The regime's newspapers have published several articles speaking highly of him. The Vancouver Sun published an interview with Sullivan in which he said, "During my visit in China, they welcomed me with a red carpet and treated me like an emperor. It's a pity that Vancouver doesn't have such a large budget so that I could pay them back."
Before Yang left his post he held a press conference. When asked by a reporter whether he had any regrets during his office, Yang publicly admitted that he had urged the city of Vancouver to remove the protest site outside the Consulate many times but didn't succeed.
On April 7, the city government proposed a new bylaw that prevents structures in front of the Chinese Consulate. According to local media reports, the city government consulted the Chinese Consulate before the new bylaw was proposed.
Clive Ansley, a lawyer representing Falun Gong, said the fact that city engineers consulted the Chinese Consulate is “disgraceful” and “indefensible.” Adding, that after reviewing the proposed bylaw restrictions, "It was clear that the consulate pretty much got their entire wish-list.”
“We didn’t fight this battle over five years, and the Court of Appeal didn’t make this decision striking down the bylaw in order for the city to enact a new bylaw that results in the identical prohibition of free expression,” he said at the council meeting.
Later, a new version was drafted that allows structures in front of the Chinese Consulate and also removes the $200 registration fee and $1,000 deposit, but increases the fine for breaking the law.
There are still some limits in the new version, for example, the size of the allowable structure was reduced by half.
Falun Gong Practitioners Attacked by Gunman at the Protest Site

After the practitioners were ordered to remove the protest billboards, one practitioner was attacked in front of the Chinese Consulate. Practitioner Mr. Zhang Chunyu was assaulted the morning of August 2, 2007 by three Asian men who appeared to be around 20 years old. They tore up the protest display boards. One of the men confronting Mr. Zhang held a handgun against his temple, ordered him to leave and shouted, "Don't stay here! Go away!" The three thugs beat Mr. Zhang, punching him in the eyes and head and kicked the blue shelter, making several large holes. Not until a bus passed by did they stop and leave.
Vancouver Falun Gong spokesperson Sue Zhang said the thugs obviously were instructed to carry out the attack, and it was premeditated.
CCP instructs pro-CCP Chinese community leaders to interfere with Falun Gong activities

The annual Chinese New Year's Parade in Vancouver had in past years turned its back on Falun Gong applications to participate, instigated by pro-CCP forces. The application for the 2007 Chinese New Year's Parade got the same result. The sponsor did not reply to Falun Gong practitioners' application, but instead lied and told a local TV reporter that Falun Gong did not apply for a permit.
National Security Bureau agents threaten Falun Gong practitioner’s family
Ms. Zhang’s daughter and son-in-law, neither of whom practice Falun Gong, traveled to Beijing in late 2010. Three national security agents and a translator took the couple to a hotel conference room and interrogated them for more than two hours.
The agents asked, “What is your mother doing abroad? Tell her not to make public appearances and oppose China.” (The Communist Party intentionally equates “China” with “Communist Party.”) Ms. Zhang’s daughter answered, “Canada gives us freedom of belief. My mother has her belief and I have mine. I cannot interfere with her, and neither does she interfere with me.”
In the end, the agents told her to send a message to her mother, urging her not to expose the CCP abroad. They threatened to “take action” if she refused.
Ms. Lu began practicing Falun Gong abroad. She and her husband and daughter went back to China to visit relatives in early 2008. Local national security agents rented out the two rooms to the left and right of their room. Four agents interrogated them and asked for the type and quantity of Falun Gong materials they brought back to China, and to whom they gave them. Ms. Lu said, “They seemed to know everything I did in Canada, including the type, price and store where I bought my Qi Pao (Chinese traditional cloth) to promote Shen Yun.” The agents followed them closely until they left China and also demanded that she send information about Canadian practitioners back to them after they returned to Canada, or act as a de facto spy.
Ms. Shi also learned Falun Gong abroad. No one bothered her during her first trip back to China. During the next year's trip she was taken to the police department. Several national security agents talked to her and questioned her about Falun Gong activities abroad, and Shen Yun shows. They even knew she bought tickets and invited her friends to the show. They told her, “We knew you came back last year, too.” Then they demanded her email address and offered to be her “friends.”
Threatening practitioners’ family members in China
Ms. Zhao never returned to China, but because she often talks to people about Falun Gong and asks people to quit the Communist Party, Chinese consular officials threatened her. Her daughter living in China had money extorted from her and was told by security agents, “We have a huge pile of documents on your mother, including photos and telephone recordings.”
Dozens of practitioners and their families have been harassed and threatened by regime agents during the past few years.
The CCP exposes its own vile nature while Falun Gong enjoys ever-wider popularity
Vancouver practitioners said all the CCP’s ruses have ended up in vain. Over the past 12 years, people all around the world have witnessed the grave injustice inflicted upon Falun Gong practitioners, but the practitioners have not been destroyed. Instead, the world's people see through the CCP’s vile nature and are more convinced that Falun Dafa is righteous, and the practitioners have matured through the tribulations.
The CCP's exportation of the persecution abroad has only served to expose it further before the world.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Li is an associate professor in the Philosophy Department at the National Prosecutors College. In 2000, she had to leave her home to avoid the persecution. In November 2002, she was illegally arrested and sentenced to nine years in prison. She has been held in Beijing Women's Prison ever since. She was once deprived of sleep for more than three weeks.
Ms. Li started practicing Falun Gong in 1992. After July 20, 1999, the National Prosecutors College administrators and its parent organization, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, tried to force Ms. Li to give up her belief. Ms. Li said firmly that cultivation was not a crime. Later, she was fired from her job, and her apartment was taken away. She was kept under surveillance by the Bajiao Police Station in the Shijingshan District.
The police identified Ms. Li as their main target to watch, monitoring her around the clock. In 2000, Bajiao Police Station officers tried to take her to a brainwashing program, so she was forced to leave home. In November 2002, she was arrested in Shenzhen for distributing DVDs about Falun Gong. She was held in the Nanshan Detention Center in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and later brought back to Beijing. During her detention in the Fengtai District Detention Center in Beijing in 2003, she was taken to the brainwashing program at the Beijing Legal Education Center. Ms. Li did not give in even after one month of non stop brainwashing, so she was taken back to the detention center.
In 2004, Ms. Li was given a nine-year sentence, and has been held at the Beijing Women's Prison since then. She was held in the No.10 prison ward for several years. In July 2004, all the practitioners in the No.10 ward were examined for their beliefs. Ms. Li expressed her firm belief in Falun Dafa. The guards took her to the library to try to “transform” her. After more than a month, Zheng Yumei, head of the prison ward, changed tactics. She ordered Ms. Li to work in the factory during the day, copy the prison rules in the hall during the noon hour and evening break, and didn't allow her to go back to her room until 10:00 p.m. Zheng Yumei also ordered Ms. Li to stand for a long time. She criticized Ms. Li for not standing properly and kicked her in the back.
In November 2004, the prison officials received the order from the Prison Management Bureau to brainwash practitioners with coercive measures. The guards took Ms. Li to an empty prison ward where she was abused physically and mentally. The guards and inmates monitored Ms. Li in three shifts. They deprived her of sleep and forced her to stand for long periods of time. They wrote words on the floor slandering Dafa, then made her step on them. Ms. Li walked with a limp when she was taken back to her room. She was followed and monitored in the following years.
The No.10 ward was closed in 2009, and Ms. Li was transferred to the No. 4 ward. Liu Yingchun, head of the No. 4 ward, abused Ms. Li physically and mentally using all kinds of methods. Ms. Li was closely monitored and guards swore at her all day long. She was deprived of sleep for more than 12 days. She was forced to sit on a small plastic stool for long periods of time. She was not allowed to use the restroom, brush her teeth, or even wash her face. The guards later forced her to copy a book about some other religion that was put together by personnel from the No. 4 ward. They forced her to copy it in dim light and didn't let her go to bed until late at night. They forced her to take up that religion. They forced her to watch videos and read books that slandered Falun Gong. Ms. Li wrote letters of appeal describing the torture she suffered but the letters were detained by the monitoring personnel. She wanted to appeal to the prison authorities, but they didn't let her.
Ms. Li hasn't been feeling well recently. She is expected to be released this October.
Beijing Women's Prison (originally called Tiantanghe Prison) is a dreadful place where Falun Gong practitioners are viciously persecuted. They deceive local and international media by claiming "humane and civilized prison management," while in fact, they carry out the task of "transforming" practitioners by torturing them both physically and mentally. They also brainwash practitioners with carefully crafted lies, utilizing deceptive brainwashing and inhuman physical punishment. Since 2000, the torture of practitioners in the prison resulted in several practitioners' deaths and disabilities.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Ren Dongsheng is a resident of Jinghai County, Tianjin. He was sentenced to five years of imprisonment for practicing Falun Gong and detained in Gangbei Prison.
In prison, he was placed in solitary confinement for his refusal to renounce Falun Gong. On account of a section chief's prodding, Mr. Ren's inmate monitors handcuffed and shackled him. During meal time, they would place his tray of food and water on the ground, as if feeding an animal. These inmate monitors were often ordered to beat him up with batons. Such a cumulative toll, has precipitated his mental disorder.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ren's wife was sentenced to seven years in prison and is being detained in the Tianjin Women's Prison. His mother and son have been left at home all this time by themselves. In June 2010, they went to visit him, but the prison officials refused to allow the meeting.
March 7, 2011 was Mr. Ren's scheduled release date. His mother and son had been looking forward to his release and came at 8:00 a.m. to wait at the prison gate. But after waiting for several hours, they never did see him exit. In fact, the prison officials and the officials from Jinghai County 610 Office sent him to the Dongsheng Brainwashing Center. When they argued with prison officials, several prison officers came out with batons in their hands.
Recently, Mr. Ren was finally released from the brainwashing center, only to return home mentally unwell.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Hongbo from Hujitumo Town, Dorbod Mongol Autonomous County, Daqing City, was deceived into going to the Hujitumo Town Central Elementary School by deputy principal Yao Juxiang, Mr. Zhou's former classmate, on July 12, 2011. Yao collaborated with the town's judicial bureau and the police station to lure Mr. Zhou to the old Daqing City Party School to be persecuted.
The day before, on July 11, at around 2:00 p.m., Hujitumo Town Judicial Bureau head Chen Yong and Yang Shuangjun had gone to Mr. Zhou's home.
At noon on July 12, Hujitumo Town Central Elementary School deputy principal Yao Juxiang asked Mr. Zhou to come to the school to sign some documents, so Mr. Zhou went there after lunch. He called his family at around 1:40 p.m. saying that the judicial bureau and the school authorities wouldn't allow him to go home.
Mr. Zhou's family went to the school to demand his release. Seven officers from the judicial bureau carried Mr. Zhou to a car and sent him to the old Daqing City Party School, the name currently being changed to Driving School. It was learned that Heilongjiang Province and Daqing City 610 Offices were involved in this arrest.

Mr. Zhou Hongbo started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Prior to his practice, he suffered from neurological pain, rheumatism, arthritis and other illnesses. After practicing Falun Gong, all these illnesses disappeared. He cultivated good relationships with his neighbors, and everyone praised Falun Dafa as really good.
Around April 22, 2002, Mr. Zhou was preparing a meal at home when officers from the Taikang Police Department, along with 610 Office agents Li Shilin, Tang Huaijun and Wen Zhongge broke into his home, taking him to the Taikang County Detention Center, where he was held for 59 days. Mr. Zhou held a hunger strike and was sent to a hospital for medical treatment. When his life was in danger, the detention center officials informed his family to take him home.
On December 18, 2007 (lunar calendar), Mr. Zhou was arrested again as he spoke with people about Falun Gong. Officers Jiang Yunsheng, Bai Zhiming, Li Shilin and others from the Taikang Town Domestic Security Division conducted the arrest. They held him in the Taikang Town Detention Center for eight days, and then took him to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term.

1. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Additional Information on Mr. Liu Haibo's Death Due to Torture to Death after Broadcasting the Truth about Falun Gong
On March 5, 2002, Falun Gong practitioners in China's northeastern city of Changchun broadcast programs over China's state-run airwaves that exposed the systematic atrocities committed against Falun Gong practitioners and Jiang Zemin's attempts to cover them up. This incident produced fear at the highest levels of the regime and enraged Jiang Zemin, so he gave orders to "kill without pardon" those responsible for the broadcast.
Mr. Liu Haibo, born in 1970, was a doctor in the CT section of Luuyuan District Hospital, Changchun. Planning and preparation for the March 5 video broadcasting all took place in Mr. Liu's home. On March 11, 2002, officers from the criminal division of the Kuancheng District Police Bureau broke into Mr. Liu's home and arrested him and his wife and a male practitioner. They also confiscated five thousand yuan and the money found on Mr. Liu.
The three practitioners were taken to the criminal division in the police bureau. They were interrogated and tortured. The officers stripped Mr. Liu and handcuffed him on a tiger bench. They inserted a high voltage electric baton into Mr. Liu's anus to shock his internal organs. Mr. Liu was tortured until he died. The police secretly cremated his body without notifying his family. The police claimed that Mr. Liu died from heart disease.
Mr. Liu's wife, Ms. Hou, was sentenced to a three-year term in a forced labor camp. The couple's then-two-year-old son was turned over to their relatives.

When she arrived at the office, she was arrested again and taken to the Gulou Brainwashing Center. She has not yet been released.

Plainclothed police officers arrested her and took her to Tongnan County Detention House. Later, the police ransacked her home and confiscated her Dafa books. Several days later, Ms. Tang was taken to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp.

They took Mr. Li to the Kaiyang County Detention Center and held him for two weeks before they transferred him to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Chen Jinhua, 70, retired official from the Wenjiang District, has been arrested 23 times over the past eleven years. 24. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Linwen Physically Abused and Mistreated in the Heilongjiang Women's Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Linwen from Yichun City was arrested at home on the morning of April 22, 2010, and sentenced to forced labor. She is currently in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Zhang and five other practitioners had their terms extended by one month because they refused to renounce their belief. Ms. Zhang held a hunger strike to protest the illegal term extension. She was very weak physically. The camp doctor gave her an IV with unknown substances.
Ms. Zhang's condition worsened on May 19, 2011. The left side of her face became swollen. She was sent to the Harbin No. 2 Hospital for an examination and diagnosed with a thyroid problem requiring an immediate operation. The camp officials didn't inform Ms. Zhang's family, nor did they release her.

(Clearwisdom.net) My husband returned to his hometown on January 29, 2011, and became aware that his younger brother, who is in his 70s, was suffering from advanced esophageal cancer. He was so weak after an operation that he was unable to withstand chemotherapy and was sustained mainly by IV infusions. Completely bedridden, he looked as thin as a rail and could only take milk or rice soup.
His wife, also in her 70s, a committed Christian, had many illnesses as well. She lost her vision last year and had an operation. However, after the operation she still couldn’t see clearly. Because her husband was often hospitalized, things were always difficult for their daughters and sons, and the entire family was caught up in much hardship.
I went back to my hometown on February 4 and told his family the facts about Falun Dafa. I also shared the miraculous changes I experienced after practicing Dafa. I was a doctor before and I had suffered from a dozen different diseases. For years I visited doctors everywhere, but nothing was effective, leaving me to live in constant, severe pain. After practicing Dafa, I reached a state free of illness. Although I was already in my 70s, others said that I looked only in my 50s. I told them that it was all because of Falun Dafa.
After being poisoned for decades by the Communist culture and atheism, the brother didn’t believe that Dafa could save him. Before my husband and I left, I told him again and again that he would witness the desired results as long as he sincerely recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” but he didn’t take my words seriously.
Ten days later, his wife called us, saying that he was in the hospital for emergency care. My husband and I immediately went to the hospital. He was on an intravenous drip at that time and he looked even thinner and his face was black and blue. Because he had difficulty breathing, he was on oxygen. He kept spitting up black phlegm and was too weak to speak. The doctor told me quietly, “His cancer has metastasized. He might only last a few days, and will have to have protein transfusions.” My sister-in-law, who had practiced Dafa for a year, was also there at that time. We firmly believed that only Master could save him, so I said into his ear, “Buddha has immense mercy. As long as you believe Dafa and sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ you will be saved.” This time he nodded his head and then kept on reciting the sentence the entire night.
The next morning he immediately felt much better. We gave him an MP3 player so that he could listen to the recordings of Master teaching the Fa at once. He felt hungry at noon and then had half a bowl of chicken soup. In the following days, he kept on listening to the recordings and constantly recited the sentence. He improved each day.
My sister-in-law later called me, saying, “He said that the nine (Chinese) characters that saved his life were nine stars. Whenever he recited the sentence, the stars would shoot something into his body from the top of his head, his forehead, the sides of his head, his shoulders, and his chest. He can now eat entire meals and can eat three to four meals per day. Each time he can eat more than half a large bowl. He has stopped taking medicine and returned home.”
Afterward my husband took the precious book Zhuan Falun, exercise tapes, and the videos of Master teaching the Fa to him. Every day he studied the Fa and did the exercises with my sister-in-law. Several days later when I visited him, he was finally able to walk and looked full of energy. At mealtimes, he ate a large bowl of noodles, saying happily, “I had a dream. In the dream I clearly saw Master coming to me. Master was very tall, standing behind me, the same as what I saw from the videotapes of Master teaching the exercises.” His wife also asked me to help her learn the exercises.
Currently, my brother and his wife study the Falun Gong teachings and do the exercises early in the morning every day. It is really because of the Buddha’s infinite grace that my husband's younger brother, whom the doctors predicted would only last a few days, could completely recover from this deadly, advanced cancer of the esophagus!
(Clearwisdom.net) It has been a dozen years since we started assisting Master in Fa-rectification. Step by step, we have come upon this stage today, cultivating away many attachments during this process.
When the persecution started on July 20, 1999, fellow practitioners and I went to Beijing to validate the Fa. We were illegally arrested and suffered much in the detention center. After returning home, we started to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Initially we had fear, but we thought of assisting Master in Fa-rectification and allowing more people to have the correct understanding about Dafa. During this process, we cultivated away the attachment of fear bit by bit.
We started to clarify the facts to the villages and continued to do so in the city. We wrote numerous messages, hung many banners and distributed many truth-clarifying materials. On the street, I would climb onto the shoulders of my fellow practitioner and write the Dafa truth-clarifying messages on high surfaces. Even if there was only one family living in an area very far away, I would deliver the materials to them.
Once when I spent the night distributing materials, I was so tired on the way home that I could barely walk. I saw a bright spot and thought that it was the road, but it turned out to be a water canal. I fell into the canal, but my heart was not dampened, and I didn't mind the hardship or the exhaustion.
One winter a fellow practitioner and I went to a village to distribute truth-clarifying materials. At that time, the persecution was very severe and some of us had been jailed. For the sake of my fellow practitioner's safety, I went out alone in the middle of the night. I accidentally walked into a water canal of a big lake. When I came out of it, scrambling, I found myself surrounded by a corn field. As the sky was dark, I felt nervous. Then I thought of Master's words, “Spirits and ghosts fear greatly,” from “Mighty Virtue” in Hong Yin. I immediately did not feel afraid; it was as though Master was right beside me. I staggered through the corn field and entered the village to distribute truth-clarifying materials to every household. When I finished, I returned home safely.
During the winter of last year, my lips were cracked and blistering, but I still went out daily to clarify the truth. When I came home after clarifying the truth one day and took off my mouth mask, my lips were covered in blisters. The blisters did not heal for many days, so I thought of not wearing the mask any more and decided that it was the evil old forces trying to interfere with my saving sentient beings. I came here to save sentient beings, thus I persisted to go out every day to clarify the truth. Then one morning when I woke up, my lips were glued together due to the fluids secreted from the wounds, and the situation appeared worse than before. I could not even open my mouth. I looked into the mirror and with much determination tore off the scabs; I was in a lot of pain afterward. However, I was eager to save sentient beings, so I wore the mouth mask and headed out. At a canteen, I took off my mouth mask and went from table to table to clarify the truth. I met a policeman who told me that he was armed and that I was very daring to talk to him about Falun Gong, but I was very calm and patient. Finally, I convinced him to renounce his Communist Party membership. The Party secretary of our factory also renounced his Party membership.
Once I was clarifying the truth with a fellow practitioner when it was drizzling. We walked and clarified the truth to many people. There were two people riding a motorcycle. We waved to them and they stopped. We walked toward them and on the pretext of asking directions, started chatting with them. Before we parted, we managed to convince them to renounce their Party membership.
I had attachments to fame and gain. These things were interfering with me, and thus I could not calm down my thoughts during meditation. After I clearly recognized my attachments, during the night I saw (in another dimension) a big iron nail that was one meter long falling off my leg and another nail also falling off my chest. My understanding is that Master removed the karma manifesting as two very big and long iron nails from me. That night when I meditated, I felt peace that I had never felt before. Suddenly, I felt my body shake, and it was as though every joint of my body had been elevated.
Whenever I met with tribulations, I felt that I was very fortunate. I know that Master wants me to let go of this heart full of human attachments. Fame, gain and sentimentality of the human world are really minute.
This is my current understanding. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
(Clearwisdom.net) As soon as I got a printed copy of the new scripture, “What Does it Mean to 'Help Master Rectify the Fa,'” I immediately thought about taking it to a couple of 85-year-old practitioners.
After I prepared the printouts and other assorted materials, it started raining. I picked up a poncho and planned to ride my bicycle in the rain. As I set out, it suddenly started to pour. As the raindrops beat on my face, I could not see anything in front of me. Fortunately, there were no pedestrians or vehicles on the road. I just felt my way along and pedaled ahead against the rain. The rain penetrated my poncho and dripped down my legs. It suddenly occurred to me, “It is okay that I am soaked, but the new scripture printouts must stay intact.”
I arrived in about 20 minutes and parked my bicycle. When I took the bag with the new scripture wrapped in two layers of plastic out of my bicycle basket, I saw that it was completely dry. I could not help but be amazed by the miraculous nature of Dafa.
I handed the bag to the senior male practitioner and talked to him a little bit at the front door in my wet clothes before I got ready to leave. Then, the senior female practitioner rushed outside. Her daughter tried to hold her back but could not. She said, “Mom, it is raining outside and it's very slippery. You are not young any more. Don't fall.”
The female practitioner ran after me in the rain all the way to the front gate. With a smile she said, “Two miraculous things happened to me recently. I want you to write them down and submit them to the Minghui (Clearwisdom) website to validate the Fa and testify to the healing power and miraculous nature of the Fa. I also want to express my deep gratitude to our Teacher.”
“Good! That's wonderful. Please go ahead and tell me.”
This practitioner is 85 years old. In the past 15 years of practicing Falun Gong, she has never had a single pill or injection. Her complexion looks particularly healthy. She looks like she is in her 60s.
She said, “A few days ago, I was going to do the sitting meditation when all of a sudden my legs ached so badly that I could not bend them at all. My kneecaps ached fiercely. As I pulled up my pant legs, I saw my knees were badly swollen. I sent forth righteous thoughts but it did not help. After a day of aching, my son and his wife planned to take me to the hospital. I reminded myself that I was a practitioner and didn't need to go because my Teacher would look after me. In the evening, my husband told me that we should appeal to our Teacher for help together. After we did, my legs healed up and the swelling subsided. The next day we called our children and told them not to worry about taking me to the hospital and that I was fine. Our children were touched beyond words. This was my first miracle. You must send my gratitude to Minghui and Teacher. I truly believe in Dafa and Teacher and nothing else.”
She continued, “Teacher is right by our sides though we cannot see him. Let me tell you another miracle. One day our whole family sat down together to celebrate a holiday. My daughter gave me some duck meat. A thin bone got lodged in my throat. I could not swallow it down nor spit it out. I just endured the pain and did not tell my children about it as, again, I did not want them to take me to the hospital. After three days, the bone was still stuck in my throat. I then thought that maybe I should ask for Teacher's help. With this thought, I suddenly felt that the passageway was cleared and it no longer hurt when I swallowed food. I was moved to tears and thanked Teacher many many times in my heart. Later on when I told my children about it, they still felt the fear that, for my age, it could have been much more painful if it were not for Teacher's help. My whole family all felt deep gratitude for Teacher's benevolent care.”
When she finished telling me this, she smiled just like a innocent kid. I knew the smile was from the bottom of her heart!
Then I told her about something that I had witnessed myself. One of my fellow practitioners was killed by the local authorities. After the story was exposed on Minghui, the practitioner's family received a postcard one day from a practitioner in Japan. Miraculously, the postcard, with the sentence “Practicing Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is not a crime” written on it, passed through layers and layers of the authorities' overseas filtering system until it reached its final destination. Isn't that extraordinary? Isn't there a strong righteous thought and firm belief in Teacher and the Fa behind each and every miracle of Fa-rectification? Teacher is truly looking after us each and every moment!
As I finished my story, the rain suddenly stopped. After saying goodbye, I rode home. Within a few yards, I felt gushes of warm air flowing from under my feet. It was so warm and comfortable, as if I were riding on two magical wheels. The feeling was magnificent, truly beyond the power of human words to express. I could only thank Teacher in my heart: “Teacher, you give so much to your disciple. As your disciple, I must advance in my cultivation diligently and never let you down.”
