(Clearwisdom.net) About 2,500 practitioners from Europe, the U.S., Asia, Australia and other areas held a grand march and rally at noon on July 15, 2011 in Washington DC, to call for people from all walks of life to work together to put an end to the Chinese Communist Party's 12-year persecution of Falun Gong.

At noon, numerous banners and placards conveying messages such as “Falun Dafa Is Great,” “The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” and “Stop Persecuting Falun Gong” reappeared on the spacious Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC. The nearly two-hour march began at the Washington Monument and ended at Farragut Square. The entire route was two miles.

Call for bringing the chief culprits in the persecution of Falun Gong to justice

Many passersby stopped to watch the march. Some of them said that each year they have seen a large number of Falun Gong practitioners hold activities in DC, and that they felt this year's march was particularly impressive. Others echoed the need for the persecution of Falun Gong to end immediately.

Ouyang has been in the U.S. for seven years, and learned about Falun Gong from his wife, a Falun Gong practitioner. He said that he accompanied her from New York to participate in the march in DC. “I think the persecution must be serious, otherwise, nobody would have come from so far to take part in this grand march.”

Ms. Yang from China said that she was moved to see the march. She had heard about the persecution when she was in China, but didn't know that it was so cruel. “The messages on these banners are very powerful--I want to cry when I look at them.” She said that she also saw practitioners' perseverance from the march.

Resident Vince Careatti said that he has been to China, and learned about the CCP's brutality towards Falun Gong practitioners. The regime has arbitrarily arrested and physically abused and tortured practitioners, and even went so far as harvesting organs from living practitioners. He expressed his indignation towards the appalling atrocities of torture and abuse of practitioners, and the live organ harvesting. He mentioned that various channels should be used, such as the Internet, Twitter, and Facebook, to let everybody learn about the persecution so that it can be stopped soon.

Pamela Yeung said, “The CCP must immediately stop killing innocent Falun Gong practitioners.”

Resident Pamela Yeung said that seeing so many Falun Gong practitioners come to DC to participate in the march to call for an end to the persecution says a lot about the nature and scope of the situation in China. She said that practitioners should keep holding large-scale activities to raise people's awareness about the persecution, and not only limit it to July. She suggested that practitioners should help people from all walks of life to have a better understanding of the persecution, so everybody can work together to stop it.

A director of a company on Pennsylvania Avenue said, “I'll call my congressman, asking him to support Falun Gong, and help stop the persecution.”

Kevin Jeffries, a farmer from Kentucky, said that this was the first time he had seen Falun Gong practitioners. He was surprised to learn that they are persecuted in China. He said, “I hope Falun Gong practitioners' activities can raise people's awareness about what is going on in China, and stop the persecution.”

Grateful for Falun Dafa, a Korean couple comes to DC to call for an end to the persecution

A Korean couple, in their 60s, began practicing Falun Gong in March 2011. Before that time, the wife suffered from diabetes, and the husband had been diagnosed with colon cancer. After they practiced Falun Gong for less than one month, all of their symptoms disappeared.

The wife said, “We flew 17 hours to come to the U.S., hoping to have an opportunity to extend our Korean people's sincerest regards to Master Li, and to express our gratitude.”

“We have found the best practice in the world, and we hope that others can learn it too, so we have also come here to do our part in stopping the persecution.”

Another Korean practitioner has been practicing Falun Gong for nearly six years. She said, “I feel happy and fortunate, as I have found a true and great practice.”

“We can practice freely, but our fellow practitioners in China are suffering brutal persecution, so my heart is very heavy,” she said. “I've traveled from far away to come here to participate in these activities, and I hope the persecution will soon end. I believe it's not far from the day when all practitioners around the world will be able to get together.”

Ms. Luo from Belgium started practicing in 1998, ptior to the beginning of the persecution. She said before that time, she was almost paralyzed, and could not even hold up chopsticks. She then saw Falun Gong being promoted at an event held at the Chinese Embassy. She regained her health soon after practicing Falun Gong.

She has been to DC five times now to take part in the large-scale activities. This year in the procession she carried a portrait of a practitioner who had died as a result of the persecution. She said, “I feel the persecution really can't go on anymore.”

The persecution has not only targeted Falun Gong practitioners' belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, but is also an attempt to destroy society's moral principles and spiritual values.

(Clearwisdom.net) “July 20” is just around the corner, and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 12-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong continues to gain attention and concern from the international community. Many Falun Gong practitioners from around the world gathered as they have done in previous years in Washington, DC, to hold large-scale activities to raise awareness about the brutality of the persecution. A number of U.S. Congressional Representatives sent letters to Falun Gong practitioners to express their support and commend the practitioners for abiding by the spirit of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The representatives said that they would continue to make efforts to stop the persecution.

Senator Mark Udall of Colorado stated in his letter, "I remain a strong supporter of your efforts to speak for those Falun Gong practitioners in China being persecuted for their beliefs. As you are well aware, reports indicate that many of those in Chinese 're-education' camps are Falun Gong practitioners sentenced to these camps based solely on the basis of their beliefs. There are also troubling allegations of Falun Gong practitioners subjected to physical and psychiatric abuse."

He continued, "China's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has intensified since the campaign against Falun Gong began in 1999, including an increase in censorship of Falun Gong sympathetic websites, television stations, and other forms of media. This increased stifling of information about Falun Gong obscures the extent of the persecution of Falun Gong followers, a troubling prospect for those seeking truth and freedom. Your wish and that of the thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China and around the world is merely the opportunity to peacefully practice your beliefs without fear of persecution, torture or imprisonment. The ability to live in accordance with your beliefs, both in China and in countries around the world, should not be obstructed.

"I know my colleagues in the Senate join me in supporting Falun Gong and its practitioners' quest for religious freedom and tolerance. Thanks to all of you for your relentless commitment to freedom of expression in China."

Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland stated in her letter that she would continue fighting to protect human rights around the world. She wrote, "The issue of human rights is a basic one and cannot be compromised. We must not tolerate the intimidation, detention, and prosecution of individuals because of their religious, political, or philosophical beliefs.

"China's record on human rights issues has been of particular concern to me. I believe that China's record is intolerable, and much needs to be accomplished there before we can claim progress. We must continue our dialogue with China and urge them to treat people in their country with fairness and dignity.

"Knowing of your concerns will be helpful to me as the Senate seeks ways to influence China to improve its human rights record and to be a better world citizen. You can be sure that I will continue to fight for basic human rights all over the world," concluded Senator Mikulski in her letter.

Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand of New York said she was pleased to have the opportunity to send greetings to everyone attending the Falun Dafa Human Rights Rally. She was especially pleased to add her voice to everyone else's in recognizing Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong.

She wrote, "Since its inception, Falun Dafa has been the inspiration for the cultivation of peace. Its teachings are of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. Falun Dafa aspires to enable its practitioners to ascend spiritually through moral rectitude and the practice of the five exercises--four standing and one seated meditation. It is my hope that your efforts and the collective efforts of all Falun Dafa supporters will inspire others to take part in actions large and small, public and private, to build stronger communities and a better New York."

Rep. Eliot Engel of New York wrote, "Since the summer of 1999, the Chinese government has engaged in policies of persecution, intimidation, imprisonment, torture, and even death, all in a concerted effort to break the back of the Falun Gong movement. Today, I recognize your strength and courage in standing up to these horrific acts and commend your persistence. Accordingly, I call on the Chinese government to uphold its responsibility to protect the freedom of belief and the freedom of speech, essential freedoms that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights affords all human beings."

He continued, "In only the first half of this year, there have been no less than 35 reported deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Any physical and psychological torture used against practitioners in custody is appalling and condemnable. It must end."

"Since the persecution began a dozen years ago, Falun Gong practitioners have responded to state-sanctioned violence using entirely peaceful means. Inspired by a belief in the power of truth to enliven people's consciences and drive out hatred and violence, they have sought to educate Chinese citizens on the true nature of their spiritual practice, the persecution against it, and the wider history of the Communist Party of China.

"I congratulate the supporters of Falun Gong for staying true to your pacifistic ideals in the face of such extreme adversity. I admire your courage in assembling here today at the United States Capitol and rising in peaceful unison to be heard. I thank you for continuing to ensure the United States and the rest of the world are aware of your plight. And finally, I hope that this coming year is the year we see significant progress and the reversal of some of these most disturbing actions on the part of the Chinese government."

Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland stated in his letter, "I share the Obama Administration's support for religious freedom in China. I also share its deep concerns about the Chinese government's harsh treatment of individuals who practice Falun Gong. The US continues to raise its concerns with the Chinese government about religious persecution in China of Falun Gong practitioners and others and to urge the Chinese government to be more accountable to its citizens and to treat all its people in accordance with its constitution and with universal human rights standards."

"I join you in urging the government of China to uphold and respect the human and religious rights of its people and I urge the Chinese government to end its persecution of Falun Gong."

Congressman Rob Andrew wrote, "Twelve years ago, the Chinese government made the decision to persecute the millions of Falun Gong adherents in China, because it viewed the practice of this religion as threatening to its communist ideology. China's lack of religious freedoms had led to its designation as a 'Country of Particular Concern' by the U.S. Secretary of State for over a decade, as China's persecution of its own citizens is not limited to one religious or spiritual group."

He continued, "I support this rally to raise awareness of the twelfth year of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. This spiritual discipline focuses on gentle meditation and traditional Chinese exercises combined with a philosophy grounded in truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. Before the government began its persecution, it was estimated that there were 70 million Falun Gong adherents in China; however, the state has killed thousands through torture and police abuse, while hundreds of thousands have been imprisoned, often in labor camps. Some imprisoned Falun Gong adherents have been physically and psychologically coerced into renouncing their belief system. Even those who have not lost their freedom or their lives face discrimination and harassment for their beliefs. Attorneys who represent Falun Gong practitioners can be disbarred or arrested, and even family members of practitioners who do not practice Falun Gong themselves have been arrested."

"It is shocking that religious persecution on such a wide scale still exists in this day and age, so the importance of this rally cannot be overlooked. I join the adherents of Falun Gong in renouncing China's mistreatment of their fellow believers, and urge China to end its official and unofficial policies which have led to the torture, imprisonment, and killing of Falun Gong practitioners whose only crime is their deeply held religious belief," concluded Rep. Robert Andrews

In her letter, Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California expressed her support for all who seek basic human rights and freedoms on the occasion marking twelve years since the Chinese Communist Party began the persecution of Falun Gong. She wrote, "Particularly as we watch the moving images of young people fighting for democracy in the Middle East, we are reminded of the repression that so many around the world face every day. I commend you for bringing attention to the persecution occurring in China, and for speaking out in favor of tolerance and democratic freedoms."

Rep. Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin wrote, "As you all know, Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline which consists of moral teachings for daily life, meditation, and exercise based upon the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. According to the 2008 Annual Report of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, tens of millions of Chinese citizens practiced Falun Gong in the 1990s and adherents to the spiritual movement inside of China are estimated to still number in the hundreds of thousands despite the government's ongoing crackdown.

"Since the 1990s, the Communist Party has grown its campaign to eradicate Falun Gong--banning books on Falun Gong, criminalizing its practice, and engaging in mass arrests of its practitioners. Falun Gong practitioners continue to be at particularly high risk of torture and ill-treatment in detention and constitute at least half of the 250, 000 officially recorded inmates in re-education through labor (RTL) camps.

"Today, I add my voice to support the Wisconsin Falun Dafa Association in calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and celebrate the Chinese citizens who are taking a principled and peaceful stand by rejecting the violence and inequity of Communist Party rule."

Falun Gong's founder, Master Li Hongzhi, began to lecture on Falun Gong to the public in 1992 and was warmly welcomed by the masses. For the last six years, this practice had offered people something completely new and fresh. It is possible for people to practice Falun Gong anywhere, at anytime. Today, people practice Falun Gong everywhere in China, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. The practice has also spread to Europe, the U.S., Australia, and Asia, with more than 100 million people practicing Falun Gong."

Can you believe the above was broadcast in December 1998 by a TV station in Shanghai? It was a candid report of Falun Gong before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of the practice on July 20, 1999.

Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) was introduced to the public in China in May of 1992. Focusing on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Falun Dafa requires students to improve their morality, put others first, not to accept money or gifts, and not to be involved in religion or politics. The five exercises are easy to learn and have amazing health benefits. People of different nations and ethnic backgrounds have improved their health and by cultivating themselves in Falun Dafa and practicing the Falun Gong exercises.

At the 1993 Beijing Oriental Health Expo, Mr. Li Hongzhi was given the highest honors, receiving both the "Advancing the Frontiers of Science Award," and the Expo's "Special Gold Award." In addition, he was recognized as the "Most Acclaimed Qigong Master" and received more awards than anyone else at the Expo.

Jealous of Falun Gong's popularity, Jiang's Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999. Facing the slanderous propaganda, Falun Gong practitioners have used different channels to inform people of the truth about Falun Gong over the past 12 years. More and more people are award of the CCP's lies. In sharp contrast to the persecution in China, Falun Gong has been embraced by 100 million people in more than 100 countries and is highly valued around the world. Governments and non-government organizations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia have high praise for Falun Gong's outstanding ability to improve morality and health.

Worldwide, Falun Dafa and its founder, Master Li Hongzhi, have received 1,684 awards and certificates of recognition for the practice's outstanding contribution to the improvement of people's minds, bodies, and spirits. Three hundred and fourteen resolutions have been passed and 1,154 letters received in support of Falun Gong.

On May 13, 2011, the 12^th World Falun Dafa Day, the 19^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction, and Master Li Hongzhi's birthday, government entities in many different countries recognized Falun Gong with awards and other honors, including “Master Li Hongzhi Day,” “Falun Dafa Day,” “Falun Dafa Week,” and “Falun Dafa Month.” The letters of recognition had high praise for the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and strongly condemned the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Since May 6, 2011, close to 100 certificates of recognition and congratulatory letters from government officials have been published on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, including from the Canadian Prime Minister, MPs, congressional representatives, governors, state congress members, mayors, city council members, etc.

The Senate and General Assembly of New Jersey resolved to acknowledge World Falun Dafa Day in May 2011.

The State of New York Senate passed a resolution on May 3, 2011, recognizing May 2011 as World Falun Dafa Month and praising Falun Dafa for bringing better health and inner peace to millions of people around the world.

Salt Late County Mayor Peter M. Corroon said in his proclamation that “Falun Dafa is practiced in more than 100 countries including China, other parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, most countries in Europe, Canada, and the United States.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper commended “the members of the Falun Dafa Association of Canada for sharing their practices and traditions with Canadians” in his letter of greeting in May 2011. The Prime Minister has sent letters of greeting every year over the past six years. He said he was pleased to extend his greetings to everyone celebrating Falun Dafa month.

Canadian Minister of Environment Peter Kent said in his letter, “The emphasis on the ancient Chinese values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance fits in line with the values of modern-day Canada. Falun Dafa practitioners have walked on the most honourable path to peace and for this, you have earned the respect of your fellow Canadians.”

Canadian Minister of Citizenship Jason Kenney said in his letter, “As the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration, and Multiculturalism, I would like to thank the organizers of this great event for sharing with all of us the principles, philosophy, and traditions of Falun Dafa.”

Seventeen years ago, Houston city officials designated Master Li an honorary citizen and goodwill ambassador. The Mayor of Houston proclaimed October 12, 1996, “Li Hongzhi Day” in Houston, Texas. He issued a proclamation recognizing “Li Hongzhi Day” in the City of Houston. The proclamation stated: “As the founder of Falun Gong, an advanced system of spiritual cultivation, Li Hongzhi has gained the respect and admiration of people around the world. Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truth, Compassion, Forbearance), the virtues of the universe. Falun Gong emphasizes health improvement and leads sincere practitioners towards enlightenment. Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries. It resonates the universal truth to every corner of the earth and bridges the gap between East and West. As part of his first visit to the United States, Li Hongzhi will host a seminar in Houston on October 12, 1996. The City of Houston is pleased to welcome Li Hongzhi on this auspicious occasion, and extends best wishes for continued success.”

Having braved the CCP's brutal persecution over the past 12 years, Falun Gong practitioners have won the respect of the world for their peace, rationality, and persistence. Awards, recognition, and admiration for Falun Gong practitioners' noble spirit has also marked the failure of the CCP's lies and the awakening of humanity's conscience.

On the afternoon of March 14, 2001, Freedom House, a prestigious human rights organization co-founded by Eleanor Roosevelt 60 years ago, held an awards ceremony in the conference hall of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to honor Teacher Li Hongzhi and the Falun Dafa Association, along with four other groups, as "defenders of religious rights."

Ms. Nina Shea, Director of the Religious Freedom Center of Freedom House, presided over the ceremony. Ms. Shea is also a member of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and a member of the U.S. Government Delegation to the UN Human Rights Commission. Mr. Mark Palmer, Vice Chairman of the Board of Freedom House and former U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, attended the ceremony and gave a speech. Senator Jesse Helms, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; Congressman Chris Smith, Vice Chairman of the International Relations Committee; Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, Chairwoman of the Congressional Working Group on China; and Mr. Michael Parmely, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, also attended the ceremony and spoke.

This was the first time for a non-governmental organization, with the participation of members of the U.S. Senate, Congress, U.S. State Department, to honor the Falun Dafa Association and Teacher Li Hongzhi. This award, issued just before the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Commission in Geneva, also drew worldwide attention to Beijing's brutal crackdown on Falun Gong and other religious beliefs.

On February 24, 2001, Falun Dafa Day was celebrated in the beautiful Rose Gardens in Hamilton, New Zealand. Mayor Russ Rimmington issued a proclamation honoring “Falun Dafa Day,” was highly complimentary of Falun Dafa, and accepted a gift from practitioners, the book .

On May 8, 2009, in Auckland's Pakuranga Community Center, local Falun Dafa practitioners held an event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Master Li's teaching in New Zealand. Amato Akarana, a Maori emirate, represented New Zealand Aotearoa Tangata Whenua Maori, Faa Samoa, Pacifica, Sovereign Council of Chiefs and issued a proclamation in honor of “New Zealand Falun Dafa Week, May 7 to 13.”

From January 7 to 14, 2001, the beginning of the first month of the new millennium, Russian Falun Dafa practitioners participated in a Qigong exhibition "New Epoch—2001." The exhibition lasted eight days and was a great success. Practitioners won two awards issued by the organizing committee: "Best Practice Performance" and "Best Booth Design."

In Jakarta on December 22, the head of the Youth and Sports Department invited practitioners to participate in the National Sports Day held in Lapangan Merdeka, where more than 1,000 people were in attendance. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and introduced Falun Dafa to the participants. This event left a positive image of Falun Dafa for the people in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatra. After the activity, we were given an award by the head of the Youth and Sport Department.

On July 18, 2004, Governor of Sumatra Utara Mr. Rizal Nurdin proclaimed Falun Gong as one of the National Mass Sports that transcends nationalities and beliefs and is non-political.

From March 27 to April 24, 2004, the headquarters of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Peru National Police organized 100 police officers to learn Falun Gong at 8 a.m. every Saturday at the exercise field on Soldier's Plaza in Lima. On April 24, an awards ceremony was held on the field. Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Mei Jiang and Ying Su were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation signed by the director of the Corruption Prevention Department to commend their dedication in offering free teaching of Falun Gong. The police officer who hosted the ceremony said, "This selfless dedication deserves commendation and respect from everyone."

On October 20, 2007, the Southeast Asia Democracy Coalition gave a letter of recognition to the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) for its persistent efforts in supporting human rights. A WOIPFG representative spoke at the meeting, held by the Cuban Liberty Council at the Marriott Hotel in Miami, Florida.

The reason the world has showered Falun Dafa with awards and other forms of recognition is because, after learning how practitioners have stood fast on the value of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, people have gained the courage to be heard in the defense of justice. These honors serve as historical evidence of calls to end the persecution.

(Clearwisdom.net) If you pass through Chinatown in Montreal, every day you will see see several ladies passing out Falun Gong informational materials. They greet Chinese people with a smile and ask them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to be safe, give them a copy of the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and help them quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. They greet westerners with beginner French and collect signatures calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

If you come to Chinatown early in the morning or late in the day, you will see elderly ladies over seventy carrying heavy supplies here to set up a booth. They seem to never feel tired. What gives them such super energy? Why are they able to be so dedicated?

Mrs. Bu came to Canada in 2006. She had been illegally detained and thrown into a labor camp for 16 months in China for practicing Falun Gong. In the labor camp, she was beaten, shocked with electric batons, force-fed, handcuffed, shackled, and forced to stand facing a wall for extended periods of time. Thanks to her son's great effort, she was able to visit him in Canada after she was released from the labor camp. Three days after she arrived in Canada, she heard that the Chinese police attempted to arrest her again.

Mrs. Bu goes to Chinatown to expose the persecution every day. She said, “I have finally come to Canada, a free society where I can practice Falun Gong. But thousands upon thousands of fellow Falun Gong practitioners in China don't have that freedom. Instead, they are imprisoned and tortured. Some have died from persecution. The lies of the CCP have poisoned the minds of many Chinese people in China and overseas. I want to tell the world the true story. Falun Gong follows Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Jiang Zemin persecutes Falun Gong out of his jealousy...I don't feel it is hard to be persistent in truth-clarification. When thinking about how my fellow practitioners in China risk their lives to clarify the facts of Falun Gong, what I'm doing is nothing.”

Some people don't understand Falun Gong practitioners and curse them. Ms. Bu said, “They have been poisoned by the CCP's brainwashing propaganda. I'm not bothered. I will tell them the true story with compassion and a kind smile. Even if they don't understand now, they will some day. I will continue my work as long as I can because it is so important for them to know the true story of Falun Gong and that Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are good.”

Mrs. Yu came to Canada in 2004. She and her husband began practicing in China in 1996 and regained their health. Because of the CCP's persecution, her husband, who was a government official at the bureau level, gave up practicing Falun Gong under pressure. He eventually got Alzheimer's dementia and died from a cerebral hemorrhage. On the contrary, Mrs. Yu has been practicing Falun Gong and still feels as energetic as a young person. She distributes flyers in Chinatown and does the Falun Gong exercises every day. When mentioning her husband, Mrs. Yu said in tears, “The CCP and Jiang Zemin caused my husband's death.”

Recounting the early days, Mrs. Yu said, “The first time I watched Master's lecture video, I suddenly remembered I had a dream a month before about watching this lecture in the auditorium of my company. I later asked my colleague and miraculously found out that Master's lecture was indeed played in the auditorium on that day. After watching the first lecture, the problem in my leg was gone. My leg bone had been nailed together. It took more than an hour for me to walk to the auditorium with my husband's support that day. But after the lecture, I stood up and walked ahead of husband as if there were nothing wrong with my leg. I used to have heart disease, fatty liver, osteoporosis, chronic bronchitis, cerebral arteriosclerosis and cerebral vasospasm. They were all cured by practicing Falun Gong. Having witnessed my changes, my husband started cultivation too. He used to stay in the hospital six month out of every year, but didn't need treatment after he started practicing Falun Gong. All his diseases were gone.”

After the persecution was launched in 1999, Mrs. Yu's husband gave up practicing under pressure. But Mrs. Yu wouldn't give up even though she was detained, monitored and harassed by police and leaders of her company. Her son's job was also threatened. Her company leader threatened to not give any bonus to anyone in her company so that everyone would hate her. Facing all these threats and tests, Mrs. Yu chose to continue her cultivation and tore up the guarantee letter written by her son on her behalf. She was forced to leave home. She went to another city and continued to distribute truth-clarification materials. Eventually she came to Canada with her son's help.

Like the other ladies, Mrs. Chen regained her health after she started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. She said, “I was thrilled to find the treasure of good health. I felt energetic every day. I studied the Fa carefully and continued to improve my understanding. I realized the value of improving my . I let go of fortune and fame and put others ahead of myself. But the brutal persecution began in 1999. My life was turned up side down. I was arrested and thrown into a labor camp for four years for distributing flyers. There I suffered torture and humiliation and learned how valuable freedom is.” Mrs. Chen treasures the opportunity to tell people the true story of Falun Gong and hopes more people will benefit from it like her.

Mrs. Chen said, “What I have experienced left a deep scar on my life. I have freedom now. But thousands and thousands of fellow practitioners in China are still under persecution. I have experienced their pain. The disintegration of the CCP is the only way to rescue my fellow practitioners: stop the persecution and save the people!”

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Xu Jinling, 75, lives in the Nanchenggen area in the Chengguan District of Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Everyone in her family practices Falun Gong, and everyone has been persecuted numerous times over the past ten years. Her husband, Mr. Xu Zhigang, passed away on July 24, 2006.

Ms. Xu was weak with many illnesses even as a child. As she got older, she developed heart disease, high blood pressure, stomach problems, liver disease, etc. She was always in pain and discomfort, which precipitated her early retirement.

In April 1998, Ms. Xu began to practice Falun Gong. Shortly afterward, all of her illnesses disappeared and she was able to control her temper. After witnessing her tremendous improvement, her husband, Mr. Xu Zhigang; her eldest daughter, Xu Liping; her son, Xu Jianping; and her younger daughter, Xu Limin, all decided to practice Falun Gong.

In 2009, while she was distributing Falun Gong materials, she was reported to the authorities. Officer Wang Junwen arrested her and detained her in the Yanyuan Road Police Station for seven hours.

At around 9:00 a.m. on May 8, 2011, Ms. Xu went to Binhe Road in Lianzhou to distribute Shen Yun DVDs. She was arrested and taken to the Donggangxi Road Police Station. After she to the police and her family requested her release, she was released at the end of the day. However, the whole process took a toll on her both physically and mentally. Even now, she still feels chest pain, dizziness, vomits blood, and has no appetite. Not only that, the authorities often monitor and follow her.

Ms. Xu Jinling's husband, Mr. Xu Zhigang, was retired from the Gansu Computation Center. He had had pulmonary heart disease and pulmonary fibrosis and had to pay tens of thousands yuan each year in medical expenses. After he began to practice Falun Gong, his illnesses were cured.

Shortly after the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Xu was detained in Yaoshuping Elementary School for two days and a night.

In the summer of 2003 when he was distributing Falun Gong materials, he was reported to the authorities and arrested. He was first taken to the Weiyuan Road Police Station and then to the Chengguan Police Department. While he was interrogated, he was deprived of meals, cursed, and abused. The torture lasted two days and nights. His home was ransacked.

After he was released, the officials from his workplace and local police often went to his home to harass and threaten his family. His daughters and son were each arrested, which grieved him deeply, and his health deteriorated. He passed away on July 24, 2006, at the age of 75.

Ms. Xu Jinling's elder daughter, Ms. Xu Liping, 55, was a former employee of Gansu Agricultural Products Import and Export Corporation. She used to be in terrible health and took lots of medicine daily. She felt life had no meaning. After witnessing the changes in her mother, she began to practice Falun Gong in June 1996. She became heathy again shortly afterward.

At round 3:00 p.m. on October 13, 2002, the officials from Chengguan 610 Office arrested Ms. Xu Liping and her sister, Ms. Xu Limin, and took them to the Chengguan Police Department. Ms. Xu Limin was later sent to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou. Ms. Xu Liping managed to escape but had to leave home to avoid persecution. She did not come back home until three and a half years later.

One evening in March 2006 when Ms. Xu Liping left her parents' house, four police cars stopped in front of her. Out jumped about a dozen police officers, who picked her up and carried her to one of the cars, then proceeded to the Dingxinan Road Police Station. Later she was taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. The first night in the police station, Wang Guilan and Qi Ruijun interrogated her but she refused to cooperate. Afterward, she was often interrogated and threatened.

The brainwashing center hired many of the unemployed to monitor Falun Gong practitioners around the clock. Practitioners were not allowed to talk to each other. They were also forced to do cleaning work, watch videos that defamed Falun Gong, and do training exercises. Anyone who refused was subjected to beatings, hangings, or solitary confinement. Due to the torture, Ms. Xu Liping was unable to sleep and her heart disease returned.

Her daughter was under intense pressure in college after she was arrested and cried all the time. Later she had hyperplasia. In July 2006, Ms. Xu Liping was released. Qi Ruijun extorted 5,000 yuan from her family as reimbursement for her living expenses.

Mr. Xu Jinling's son, Mr. Xu Jianping, 52, began to practice Falun Gong in September 1998. Shortly afterward, all of his bad habits that had been with him for many years, such as fighting, drinking and gambling, were all gone. He completely changed into a new person.

After the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, his company was ordered not to employ Falun Gong practitioners, so his boss had to let him go. After that, he left home to avoid persecution.

On October 7, 2000, when Mr. Xu Jianping was posting Falun Gong materials, officers from the Dunhuang Road Police Station and Qilihe Police Department Domestic Security Division arrested him. The next day he was taken to the Xiguoyuan Detention Center.

In the detention center, practitioners were forced to do extensive labor for extended hours. They were not given enough food at mealtime nor allowed to talk to each other. Many of their belongings, including food, money and supplies were confiscated, by the detention center officials. Mr. Xu Jianping had been beaten with wooden sticks at least twice. To protest the beating, he didn't eat for two days.

On June 11, 2001, when Mr. Xu was released, local police sent him straight to a brainwashing center. Three weeks later, he developed scabies all over his body and the officials from his workplace took him out for medical parole. But they fired him upon his return to comply with the order.

Around 3:00 p.m. on April 21, 2008, when Mr. Xu was clarifying the truth in the army compound, he was reported to authorities. Qilihe Police Department officers, including Xi Mingjie, the director of Domestic Security Division, arrested him and took him to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. Xi Mingjie and police officer Yang Chunhui interrogated him four times at the brainwashing center.

After long-term mental and physical torment, Mr. Xu passed out in the restroom. His whole body was swollen. He was later diagnosed with heart disease and high blood pressure. On November 3, 2008, he was released for medical treatment.

In April 2010, when Mr. Xu was working in a clothing store, several police officers from the Yanxi Road Police Station, including Zhou Yonghong, Wang Rong, Zhang Xiaomin, came in and arrested him. He was held om the Yanxi Road Police Station on a with his hands handcuffed behind his back. After being tortured this way for a day and a night, he was sent to the Yaoshuping Detention Center. But the officials of the detention center refused to accept him due to his poor health, so he was released.

On June 13, 2010, the local police went to the clothing store where Mr. Xu was working to harass him and he lost his job. On March 13, 2011, the local police also called his wife at her workplace to harass her.

Ms. Xu Limin, 50, is the youngest daughter of Ms. Xu Jinling. She is employed at the Gansu Science Association. She used to have gallstones and ovarian cysts and no longer wanted to live. On September 9, 1998, she read the book Falun Gong and her severe mango allergy disappeared the next morning. She became a Falun Gong practitioner and got rid of her illnesses. She became energetic, and her colleagues were all amazed by her transformation.

After the persecution of Falun Gong began, Yang Shenze,the Party secretary at her workplace, tried to force her to renounce Falun Gong but she refused. Later, the Gansu 610 Office paid Lanzhou Chengguan District Police Department 10,000 yuan to have Ms. Xu sent to the brainwashing center. Out of options, she left her workplace and home to move from place to place.

At round 3:00 p.m. on October 13, 2002, Chengguan agents seized Ms. Xu Limin and her sister, Ms. Xu Liping, and took them to the Chengguan Police Department. Ms. Xu Limin was later sent to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou.

In the brainwashing center, two people were hired to monitor her around the clock. Because she spoke to another practitioner, she was forced to move to the coldest room for solitary confinement. Yan Yongsheng, an official from Lanzhou Politics and Law Committee, talked to her everyday in an effort to force her to renounce Falun Gong. He deceived, confused, threatened, and harassed her. Sometimes, he suddenly broke into her room in the middle of the night. Ms. Xu was under tremendous pressure. Her coworker visited her about two weeks after her detention and was shocked that she looked so pale and weak.

After 108 days of torture, she was released after the brainwashing center after 8,000 yuan was extorted from her employer. After her release, Yan Yongsheng often went to her workplace to harass her.

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 27, 2010, I was arrested by police from the national security team and city vice squad. Sun Zhian gave the orders. Because I refused to tell them my name, they beat me. My mouth was bleeding, and both sides of my chest were severely injured as a result of being hit and kicked. I could not turn over in bed at night, and it was even hard to breathe. In March 2010, I was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

First, Yu Jiang, a team leader in the emergency team, and about eight policemen taped my mouth shut so that I could not shout, “Falun Dafa is good!” Su Jufeng and Qin Li then tied me to to a “stretching bed” torture device and began to stretch me while blowing cigarette smoke in my face. My face was covered with tears. They increased the tension, and the pain was excruciating.

In the camp, all Dafa disciples were tortured. Mr. Sun Yi was tied to a torture device that looked like a wooden box about one foot wide and three feet long. There was a small hole in the middle for moving the bowels. Mr. Lin Yongxu refused to give up his belief and was beaten. Guards tortured him. He was tied to the stretching bed three times. He could not sleep at night because of tremendous pain in all his joints. Mr. Wang Xiaohui was hung above the ground every day from 5 a.m to 10 p.m.

Dafa disciples were also forced to do slave labor. They were forced to make over 230 down coats. Guards beat them whenever they were not satisfied. Mr. Zhang Yunpeng's face was full of palm prints from being slapped. Guards had all kinds of ways to torture us. We had poor food to eat, had to do heavy work, and were tortured both physically and mentally.

This is what I experienced and what I witnessed. I am recording it to let more people become aware that the evil CCP tortures good people who believe in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.”

(Clearwisdom.net) My husband Mr. Zheng Fuxiang and I started practicing Falun Gong due to poor health. We benefited tremendously from Dafa. All of our diseases disappeared in a short 20 days and we lived happily from the moment that we first started practicing.

On July 20^th, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong. My husband and I went to Beijing to appeal for justice but were arrested and sent back to Yushu City. We were held in the detention center and tortured for two months before being released. At that time, my six-year-old son was home alone, without with no one to cook for him or take care of him.

In 2000, my husband went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong again. He just made it to Changchun City before he was arrested and sent back to the Yushu Police Department. He was taken to Fenjin Detention Center in Changchun City to be tortured and then was transferred to Weizigou Detention Center and then Chaoyanggou Detention Center for further abuse. He was brutally tortured in the detention centers before finally returning home after one and a half years. Scabies covered his body and he was too weak to feed or care for himself. My husband gradually recovered, however, through practicing Falun Gong.

Around 11 p.m. on March 11, 2002, we were awakened by a loud noise from outside. Suddenly my door flung open. The former director of Qingshan Village Police Station, Zhang Dezhi, led his staff members Ma Kai, Li Zhanmin, Zhang Wenge and a driver, Bian Erhua, to break into my home. Without showing any ID or official documents, they pulled me and my husband out of bed and started beating us. My son was terrified and started crying. They kicked my husband's genitals and shouted some bad words. They took off their belts and whipped my husband for over 20 minutes. I tried to stop them but they would not listen and instead started to beat me. They searched all over the house and then took me and my husband into the police car. We were held in the Yushu Detention Center for half a month and then transferred to a forced labor camp for ten days. I was tortured in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City for one year and my husband was tortured for three years.

After I completed the prison sentence and returned home, the police continued to harass me. I was forced to leave home and become homeless. My husband almost died from the torture he suffered at Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp because he refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. The camp was afraid of taking responsibility so they required that a family member come to pick him up. At that time, he couldn't walk and scabies covered his body. The camp even threatened him and told him not to tell people that he was tortured by electric shock. He was afraid of telling us anything even when we asked. He died on April 7, 2004, three days after he returned home.

When I heard that he was home and in poor condition, I hurried home but didn't make it in time to say my last words to him. His eyes were still open when he died. He was only 35 years old. A healthy man was thus tortured to death just because he wanted to be a better person.

The police station heard that I came home to attend my husband's funeral, and so the director, Zhang Dezhi, led his staff member Ma Kai and others to the graveyard to arrest me. I had to become homeless again in order not to be persecuted.

My son didn't have money to go to school nor did he have money for food. He had to get a job doing manual labor job at the age of 13 years old. My child suffered depression due to the hardships in his life.

On June 21^st, 2010, my son died in a car accident. My family of three lived a happy life but now I am the only one left. My family was torn apart by the persecution just because we practice Falun Gong and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

(Clearwisdom.net) Around 8:00 a.m. on May 31, 2010, policemen from the National Security Team of the Lianshan District in Huludao City collaborated with two policemen from the Jitun Police Substation to Falun Gong practitioner Sun Lianjun. Ms. Sun was then sentenced to two years of forced labor and is now being detained in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Around June 20, 2011, when her family came to visit her at the forced labor camp, she came out of a small cell, emaciated and unkempt. Her family asked the prison guards what was going on. A guard said, “She did not cooperate, and she shouted 'Falun Dafa is good'.” They threatened to extend her term. Because Ms. Sun had shouted “Falun Dafa is good,” she was beaten by guards, causing her severe internal injuries and intense pain. She was held in a small cell and made to perform forced labor.

In March 2000, Ms. Sun wanted to appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing, but was intercepted and arrested at the Huludao Train Station. She was then detained in the Huludao Detention Center for a month. In September of the same year, she was detained in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

In April 2009, Han Jun, the director of the Jitun Police Substation of Gaoqiao Town, Lianshan District, Huludao, broke into Sun Lianjun's home, arrested her and ransacked her home. Later she was taken to the Huludao Detention Center. The Huludao National Security Team extorted 3,000 yuan from Sun Lianjun's family as a so-called “deposit”.

At the beginning of May 2010, the Huludao National Security Team notified Ms. Sun, claiming that they wanted to return to her the 3,000 yuan. This turned out to be a trick to try and force her to write a document denouncing Falun Gong.

(Clearwisdom.net) The iron gate of Gangbei Prison in Tianjin suddenly opened and more than twenty armed police ran out, each holding a shield in one hand and either a police baton or an electric baton in the other. They quickly lined up on both sides of the gate. Then came the deputy head of the prison accompanied by five or six division leaders. All this to deal with a diminutive lady in her 60s, who simply wished to see her son. She was wearing a vest with her grievances written on it. The police shouted at her in a ferocious manner, “Don’t you dare cross the line!”

The above scene depicts what happened when Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Xiangyang’s mother asked to see her son at Gangbei Prison on June 27, 2011. The lone, helpless woman was confronted with the “big power” of the communist regime's police.

This lady's son, Mr. Zhou Xiangyang, worked as an engineer at the Tianjin Railway Design Institute. He was detained for one and a half years for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. While detained he was subjected to numerous beatings and was shocked with electric batons by police as well as inmates. Each time he passed out from the pain, they would bring him back to consciousness and continue the abuse. The walls of the torture chamber were covered with his blood.

In May 2003, Mr. Zhou was followed and reported, and was then illegally sentenced to nine years of imprisonment. He was taken to Gangbei Prison on August 9, 2004. While incarcerated he was subjected to brainwashing and solitary confinement, and was tortured with a “Ground Anchor" (a form of torture: the victim's hands are cuffed to rings, which are attached to the ground). Mr. Zhou started a year-long hunger strike to protest the persecution. He was allowed to go home in May 2009 on bail on medical grounds due to his extremely fragile health.

After just over a month of reading Zhuan Falun and doing his Falun Gong exercises, Mr. Zhou’s weight increased from 35 kg (77 lbs) to over 50 kg (110 lbs). He finally married his fiancé who had been waiting for him for seven years, and they started to live a peaceful life.

However, on March 5, 2011 police from the Tangshan Domestic Security Division came to search his home and took him away, together with 13,000 yuan and other personal belongs worth over 10,000 yuan. On the same day, brigade leader Gao Huixiang instructed policeman Bian Li and others to interrogate him with torture and beatings, and later he was sent back to Gangbei Prison.

Each time his mother and other family members tried to visit him, prison personnel would make all sorts of difficulties for them. On June 17, when his mom again went to visit him, the prison would not let her see him. She waited outside the gate for a long time, but nobody took any notice of her. Around 11:00 a.m., the prison gate suddenly opened and more than twenty fully armed police ran out, holding shields and batons. After they had lined up, deputy prison head Li Guoyu came out with five or six others, including Song Xuesen and Zu Liming. Li Guoyu said ferociously, “If you don’t leave, stand somewhere else. You must not cross the police cordon.” Zhou’s mother asked him why they would not allow her to see her son. Li said, “We have orders from our superiors. Your family are all Falun Gong practitioners, and that’s why you are not allowed to see him.” The two lines of police and two prison guards stood guard outside the prison, and at lunch time, they took turns having lunch. All this excessive show of force to deal with a tiny, old lady. They even drove nearby street peddlers away and told people to park their cars somewhere else so that nobody could talk to Zhou’s mom. The elderly woman had gotten up very early that day and traveled a long distance just to see her son. She was kept waiting on the street all by herself the entire morning.

In the afternoon, out of frustration, Zhou’s mom once again put on a vest with her grievances on it and went to the prison to try to see her son. But prison authorities again denied her, and one of the team leaders yelled, “Go talk to Hu Jintao!”

Zhou’s mom is very worried about her son and now wonders why the prison authorities are suddenly refusing to let her see him. Why did the police send out a show of force to deal with a tiny, old lady and keep it up for an entire day? When she saw her son on May 12, he looked very weak. She heard that three people had died in that prison as a result of force-feeding. How could she not be worried about her son?

The day before the family went to visit, officials from Tangshan twice went to harass Zhou’s wife, and police from Matuodian Township in Changli County, Qinhuangdao also went to Mr. Zhou’ mom’s home to tell her that she must not go visit her son, and threatened her that she might also be detained if she did.

It has now been more than one hundred days since Mr. Zhou Xiangyang's most recent hunger strike; his health is becoming weaker and weaker and it is feared that his life is in danger. We call on all people with a sense of justice to pay attention to Zhou Xiangyang’s situation and help rescue him.

Persecution Suffered: Home ransacked, detention

(Clearwisdom.net) Retired teacher Ms. Wu Guohui was arrested in early June and has since been imprisoned in the local detention center. Currently, she is displaying symptoms of anemia. Recently, the Balinzuoqi Division Police Department submitted her case to the local , who refused to accept it due to a lack of evidence. The police department is planning to submit the case to the higher level Procuratorate in an attempt to further persecute Ms. Wu.

On the morning of June 5, 2011, Ms. Wu and her husband Guo Wen were shopping at the local market. Ms. Wu was arrested by the local police and then taken to the police department. Mr. Guo was arrested at his home. That afternoon, the couple was taken to the local detention center. Mr. Guo was for 12 days and then released June 16 on bail; he is now awaiting his trial. The police also extorted 20,000 yuan from him, which they claimed as bail money.

In the afternoon on June 5, several officials ransacked Ms. Wu's home and then confiscated her personal computer and around a dozen Falun Gong books. Officials included Li Bin, captain of the Balinzuoqi Domestic Security Division; Li Hongzhu, political instructor of the Domestic Security Division; and Gao Yanguo, Wang Lixin, Wang Huanyong and Wang Dongmei from the .

Between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on June 14, six police officers took Mr. Guo's home key and ransacked his home again. At that time, his 76-year-old mother was home alone. The police forced her to sit at the dining table where they interrogated her, and kept asking her to identify her spiritual belief. The officers' hostile treatment terrified her.

Before practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Wu suffered from rheumatic heart disease, tracheitis, gallbladder inflammation, nervous headaches, and rheumatoid arthritis from a very young age. She often collapsed at work. Her husband carried her to and from work on a bicycle, no matter how bad the weather was--a round trip of over six miles. On May 13, 1996, she started practicing Falun Gong. Her diseases disappeared in four days and she turned into a pleasant and optimistic person. She conducted her daily life according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She worked diligently and never complained about hard work assignments.

In the past twelve years of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the authorities have carried out nonstop persecution of Ms. Wu and her family. Their methods have included multiple fines, home ransacking, constant surveillance, and tailing. Ms. Wu was at times forced to flee from home in order to avoid further persecution.

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 33 cities or counties in 16 provinces. In this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 43 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [You County, Hunan Province] Mr. Jiang Changfan Taken to You County Detention Center on July 4

On July 5, 2011, the deputy head of Tie Xi District Domestic Security Team and three officers went to Mr. Pan Youfa's home and arrested Mr. Pan and his wife.

Mr. Meng Yanchai, 23, is from Wuying Village, Xiaotun Town, Ruzhou City, Henan Province. He was arrested by officers from Xinghua Street Police Station in the Tianhe District on June 10, 2011. He is being held in Tianhe District Detention Center.

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Feng Yueling and Ms. Yu Xiaosu Held in Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Baoshan District took Ms. Feng Yueling and Ms. Yu Xiaosu to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center at the end of May 2011. Both of them are still being held there.

5. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Jia Pengfei Beaten and Seriously Wounded

Mr. Jia Pengfei, 23, lives in the Xuanhua District, Zhangjiakou City. On June 22, 2011, four soldiers from the residential area of the Institute of Communication seized Mr. Jia while he was speaking with people about Falun Gong. Mr. Jia was badly beaten and seriously injured. He was later taken to the Dabei Street Police Station. He was taken to the detention center three times, but the detention center authorities refused to admit him because he did not pass the physical. The police released Mr. Jia on the evening of June 27, 2011.

Ms. Zhang Shujuan from Jianchang County, Huludao City, was arrested while speaking with people about Falun Gong on July 3, 2011. She is being held in Huludao Detention Center.

Ms. Wei Shengjing from Huangnihe Town, Luoping County, Qujing City, was reported for speaking to people about Falun Gong at around 4:00 p.m. on June 28, 2011. She was later taken to the Huangnihe Town Police Station and is being held at the Luoping County Detention Center.

At around 10:00 a.m. on June 5, 2011, officers from Xinqiao Police Station, Tianxingqiao Police Station, and the Domestic Security Team arrested Ms. Yue Chunhua and Ms. Jiang Zhaihong and took them to the Xinqiao Police Station. The police confiscated five Falun Dafa books.

Mr. Yang Chaolun, 65, lives in Lami Village, Luquan County. He was removing a banner that slandered Falun Gong outside the office of the county committee on the evening of June 29, 2011, and was arrested by officers who had been lying in wait. He is being held in the Luquan County Police Department.

On the evening of July 5, 2011, officers from the 610 Office of Nongken District Sub-Bureau and Jiayin Farm Police Department broke into Ms. Zhang Xiufang's home in Jiayin Farm and ransacked it. Ms. Zhang is being held in the detention center of the Nongken District Sub-Bureau.

About five officers from the Domestic Security Team ransacked Ms. Dong Yadong's home on the afternoon of July 5, 2011. They confiscated Dafa books and other personal belongings.

Ms. Li Xueyi was recently arrested in Xi'an City. She was transferred to the Hanji Detention Center in Gansu Province.

Mr. Zhan Zhigang from Heishan Town, Heishan County, was arrested by Heishan County Domestic Security Team officers Wang Weijing, Xiao Zhongying, and others on the morning of July 6, 2011.

On the evening of June 30, 2011, Ms. Yang Dongxiu and Ms. Xiang Longqin were followed and arrested while distributing pamphlets about Falun Gong in Changlinggang Village, Yaojiadian Town.

Ms. Yang Congyi was arrested on the second floor of the Yuenan Street Farmer's Market in Hekou County on the afternoon of July 2, 2011. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Li Yongfang from the Beibei District is an employee of Baodi Technologies of Chongqing. On the morning of July 4, 2011, officers from the Shuitu Town 610 Office in the Beibei District, Shuitu Town Police Station arrested her at her workplace and took her to the Beibei District Party School Brainwashing Center.

19. [Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Ms. Liu Yan and Mr. Ma Guozhong Sentenced

Ms. Liu Yan, 46, is a cadre of Honghe Water Conservancy. She was arrested while distributing pamphlets about Falun Gong on July 4, 2010. She was sentenced to ten years in prison by Honghe Intermediate Court in March 2011. Ms. Liu later appealed to a higher court. In June 2011, Yunnan High Court upheld the first trial's sentence without reconvening.

Mr. Li Ming, Ms. Liu Yan's husband, 48, is a teacher with the Institute of Educational Research in Honghe Education Bureau. He was sentenced to three years in prison and five years probation for helping to burn Shen Yun DVDs.

Mr. Ma Guozhong, 38, from Gaojia Village, Mengzi City, was sentenced to four years in prison for distributing Falun Gong informational pamphlets.

20. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] More Information about the Arrests of Ms. Wu Guohui and Her Husband Mr. Guo Wen

Qi Bolin, an officer from the Domestic Security Division of Balinzuoqi Police Department, and about seven officers from Balinzuoqi Special Duties Unit arrested Ms. Wu Guohui and her husband, Mr. Guo Wen, on the morning of June 5, 2011. The police confiscated a computer, a printer, cellphones, Falun Dafa books, and other personal belongings.

The couple was taken to the Balinzuoqi Detention Center that same day. Mr. Guo was detained for 12 days for “covering up a crime” and had 20,000 yuan extorted from him. Ms. Wu was detained for 28 days and no family visits were allowed. The guard would not give her the change of clothes Ms Wu's family sent.

On June 16, 2011, Ms. Tang Xiurong and Ms. Li were arrested for distributing pamphlets about Falun Gong in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center.

Ms. Yang Rongxia from Yangma Village, Gaocheng City, was arrested at her job on the morning of July 5, 2011. Her home was ransacked.

On May 13, 2011, Mr. Hu Zhonghou and several other practitioners were reported for handing out Shen Yun DVDs and other pamphlets about Falun Gong. Mr. Hu was arrested while the others escaped. Mr. Hu was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.

The car they were driving was detained and the police found the driver's license. The police arrested Ms. Gao Jing and Mr. Wu Xiaojun from Shenmu County and attempted to extort money from them.

On the afternoon of July 5, 2011, when Mr. Liu Jianguo was mining underground, his superior called him up. Mr. Liu was arrested by officers from Dazhuangtuo Police Station in the Guzhi District. He was taken to Kaiping Forced Labor Camp although no legal procedures were followed.

28. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Hongwei Sent to Brainwashing Center after Serving Ten Years in Prison

Mr. Wang Hongwei wasn't released after serving ten years in prison. He finished his term on July 6, 2011. Officers from Qingyuan County 610 Office took Mr. Wang to the Fushun Brainwashing Center.

29. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Fengjin and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

On July 5, 2011, Ms. Zhang Fengjin, Ms. Yan Cuiying, and Ms. Gao were arrested by plainclothes officers from Wei County for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Nuanquan Town. They were taken to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center on the same day.

Mr. Gu Fuman, 53, is retired from the Baiyin Company. He was arrested on May 16, 2011, and later sentenced to five years in prison. He was transferred to the No. 11 Prison District in Lanzhou Prison on May 18.

On June 30, 2011, officers from the Yanjiao 610 Office broke into Mr. Du Fucang's home by climbing through the window and arrested him.

32. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Cui Shikui Taken to Danshan Brainwashing Center

Officers from Anqiu City broke into Mr. Cui Shikui's home and ransacked it on June 27, 2011. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and other personal belongings. Mr. Cui was later taken to the Danshan Brainwashing Center.

On the evening of July 4, 2011, officers from Qidingshan Police Station arrested Ms. Yu Li and her husband in their home. Ms. Yu's parents were followed on their way home. The police arrested them and took them to the Qidingshan Police Station. Ms. Yu's mother had an emergency medical problem, was taken to Sanshilibao Hospital for emergency treatment, and was released later. Ms. Yu Li was sent to Yaojia Detention Center. Ms. Yu's husband was sent to Sanli Detention Center in the Jinzhou District.

On the afternoon of June 28, 2011, officers from the Helong Domestic security Team and Bajiazi Town Police Station broke into Ms. Shi Xiuying's home and arrested her. They confiscated her Dafa books and took her to the Bajiazi Town Police Station.

At around 4:00 p.m. on June 29, 2011, the police broke into Ms. Zhang Lanying's home and confiscated Dafa books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Yang Shumei was sentenced to four years in prison and is being held in Heizuizi Women's Prison in Changchun City.

Officers from Dazhou City Domestic Security Team, Da County Domestic Security Team, and Tongchuan District Domestic Security Team arrested several practitioners on the evening of July 3, 2011. It was confirmed that Mr. Zhao Guiyang, Mr. Xu Wenzhong, Ms. Tao Dafeng, Mr. Liu Guanghui, Ms. Xia Bi, Ms. Guo Defen, and Mr. Ran Wenxue were among the arrested.

The homes of Mr. Xu Wenzhong, Ms. Tao Dafeng, and Mr. Ran Wenxue were ransacked, and the police confiscated computers, printers, and other personal belongings.

The arrested practitioners are being held at the Fuxing Detention Center in the Tongchuan District.

(Clearwisdom.net) My hometown is Yingkou. The land is fertile, and the produce is plentiful and abundant. My fellow villagers are good, kind people. Heaven will bestow good fortune on them. After 11 p.m. on a rainy night, I quietly delivered a DVD on the to someone's front door.

I heard a creaking sound and the the door opened. The owner said, "What are you doing?" Smiling, I answered, "I am giving you blessings." When I gave him the DVD, he said, "It's Falun Gong!" He looked at my bulging pockets and asked, "Do you have anything else?" I said, "Yes, I have a DVD about the lawsuits that have been filed worldwide against Jiang Zemin and the DVD 'We Tell the Future.' " He said, "Can you give me all of them? Do people give you money?" I said, "No, I live frugally and use the wages that I save."

He then asked, "Why do you this?" I told him, "I want everyone to know the truth about Falun Gong, that Falun Gong is good and Falun Gong practitioners live according the the principle of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. Falun Dafa is practiced in over 100 countries and only in China is it prohibited." He said, "Ah! You just want us to know the truth about Falun Dafa." I said, "Yes, that's right. A calamity will happen to mankind. If you know the truth you will be safe and sound, and you will be able to avoid such calamity!"

He said, "Falun Dafa disciples are so good and kind. May I help you with anything? Can I give you some money?" I said, "No, thank you." He said, "May I at least give you an umbrella?" I said, "Thank you, but I already have one with me."

The people in my village are very kind. Their benevolent actions will bring them good fortune wherever they go. I asked a wild goose, that creature that flies everywhere, "Do you know why Falun Dafa practitioners are busy from morning until night?" I asked the white clouds floating in the blue sky, "Do you know why we can't pause our steps even in the middle of the night?" The wild goose said to me, "Friend, you do it to wake up the world's people even while you are being persecuted." The clouds spoke to me and said, "Friend, treat Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa disciples well. Heaven will give you good fortune."

(Clearwisdom.net) My employers called and told me to pick up my stipend the morning of June 20. As soon as I got there, agents from the county , neighborhood association, and my place of employment forcibly took me to a brainwashing center located in a local hotel and detained me there.

Refusing to cooperate with them, I to them, sent righteous thoughts day and night, loudly recited Master’s lectures, sang Dafa songs, and also exposed the evil CCP's persecution. Thus I was able to break out of the brainwashing center in just four days.

1. Bearing no resentment; awakening kind thoughts

During the entire time, I treated everyone who had been involved in my persecution, including the police officers, my colleagues, brainwashing center head, etc. as my family members, and clarified the truth to them.

Two male detainees who were assigned to monitor me dragged me to Room 8 on the fifth floor at noon on June 20. I constantly shouted to let people around me know, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Persecuting Falun Gong is committing a crime!”

The brainwashing center head arrived a few minutes later and told me to rest on a bed and stop shouting. I said, “This is not a place for me to rest. I didn’t know you were still here. You’ve deprived people of their right to follow their faith, and you’ve violated other human rights as well. If you continue doing such things, your future will really be in danger. I’m truly worried about you, and my heart aches for you.”

I also told her, “I was imprisoned for eight years and was tortured so cruelly that I almost died. But I did not give up my faith in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Can you reform me now? I want everyone to learn the truth of Dafa.”

I recited “The Foretelling,” in Hong Yin II, I also sang “Falun Dafa is good,” and other Dafa songs.

I kept clarifying the truth, and singing Dafa songs. Thus the evil forces were frightened, and no one tried to brainwash me with CCP’s propaganda.

2. Unafraid of the evildoers' threats; exposing the evil

The next afternoon the two detainees told me that a so-called “teacher” would come to teach me at 3:00 that day. Right then I sat down to send forth righteous rights. After a while someone knocked on the door. Immediately I shouted, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Suddenly, five men came in. The county domestic security division head was the first to enter. He threatened me, “If you continue shouting like this, I will sentence you to forced labor.” While speaking he hit my face. I told him that as a law-enforcement officer he had just committed a crime by hitting me, and that whoever persecuted me would be guilty. He tried to separate my crossed legs, attempting to stop me from sending righteous thoughts. I told him that since more than ten thousand police officers had died because they participated in the persecution of Falun Gong, he should watch his words and behavior because they would determine his own future.

After that I exposed how he had extorted more than 130,000 yuan from Dafa practitioners over the past decade. While I did that, they left the room, gloomily and disappointed.

3. Sending righteous thoughts, reciting Master’s Fa, shouting out the truth to disintegrate the evil forces

The two detainees brought me food every day and they tried to make me eat. I told them that I should not have been detained there, and should go eat at home. They also tried to make me take a shower and change into the clothes representatives from my employer had brought. I told them that I would not wear other people’s clothes.

When I initially sat with my legs crossed to send righteous thoughts they planned to pull my legs down. I said that it was my basic human right whether I wanted to stand or sit, and it was against the law if anyone interfered. They would have good fortune in the future if they helped protect compassionate people. Hence, the two detainees stopped bothering me when I practiced the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts. They only told me that I should go to bed early. The first night I did not sleep until after 1:00 a.m., and got up and sent forth righteous thoughts once again before dawn. When the detainees opened the windows and the door to clean the room, I shouted the truth message toward the outside. When they closed the windows and door I recited Master’s Fa and certain poems in Hong Yin loudly. Sometimes when I paused for a few seconds the detainees attempted to brainwash me. I immediately shouted, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good; whoever remembers it will get good returns.” They fell silent after hearing me say that.

Detainees who were assigned to monitor the practitioner next door came to threaten me one day, but were turned away after I shouted out the truth message, and quoted from Master’s Fa. Since then they all treated me gently, with smiles. It was just like Master said in “Fa Teaching at 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference,”

“At times when your human attachments are severe and there is interference from evil and bad factors, however, it will instead be the case that when you get stronger it becomes weaker, and when you get weaker it becomes stronger.”

There are many office-and-residential buildings around the brainwashing center, and lots of cars parked outside. That is why I shouted through the window, “This Hotel is the location to persecute Falun Gong. It is guilty. The only way out is to stop persecuting Falun Gong!” If there were passers by, I shouted, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Remember that, and you’ll get good returns!” When someone looked up I shouted again. The two detainees had to close the windows, and then I shouted through the cracks in the window.

The head and representatives from my place of employment arrived on the fourth afternoon to take me home. On our way home I clarified the truth to them, recited parts of Master’s Fa for them to listen to, and told them to quit the Party.

This experience taught me that we should use righteous thoughts and deeds to resist the persecution. As long as we have faith in Master and the Fa, refuse to cooperate with the evil forces and deny the old forces’ arrangements, it is not difficult for us to disintegrate the evil.

(Clearwisdom.net) I read an article published on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) on June 28 of this year entitled “A Story of Bringing Teacher's New Articles to Senior Fellow Practitioners.” I was deeply moved by one of the paragraphs in which the author said, “One of our local fellow practitioners had been tortured to death due to his belief in Falun Dafa. After his death was exposed on the Minghui website, the family of the murdered practitioner received a postcard sent by a Japanese Dafa practitioner.

It was a miracle that the postcard was delivered, because written on the back was the message: “It is not a crime to believe in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.” The postcard had passed through the evil Chinese Communist Party's many filtering mechanisms that are supposed to detect “sensitive words.” So many amazing things happen to Dafa disciples, and all of them bear witness to our strong righteous thoughts and firm belief in Teacher Li and the ! Master is always watching and protecting us!

We are even more thankful that Teacher uses his immense power to protect righteous Dafa practitioners in this time of Fa rectification. We firmly believe that Dafa is capable of correcting all wrongs. For instance, how can some Dafa practitioners leave prisons with their dignity intact by safeguarding Falun Dafa under the policemen's watch? Why were practitioners able to unlock handcuffs with righteous thoughts and jump over prison walls that are two or three meters to escape? These practitioners had supernormal experiences because we are living by the highest law of the cosmos, which is certainly capable of creating all things! Those malicious people who beat practitioners and try to persecute Dafa are specks of dust compared to the magnificent law of the cosmos!

Teacher has already given us the best of everything. When we work diligently on the , we have everything we need to improve and succeed in our cultivation. Every practitioner has experienced one or more miracles. I guess we wouldn't believe it if we hadn't experienced it ourselves. Here I have a miracle of my mine own to share.

One afternoon I was in a hurry to send an article to the Minghui website to expose the persecution in our local area. I didn't realize at the time that the power cord on my desktop wasn't plugged in. I had unplugged it earlier that afternoon because a thunderstorm was approaching. Yet I successfully connected to the Internet and sent the article, which was published soon after. That night I was going to study the , so I tried to turn the computer on again to print out the article. It wouldn't turn on. A plastic water bottle next to the desktop repeatedly made a strange crackling noise. I took a quick look at the power cord and was shocked when I saw that it was not plugged into the outlet at all.

It was Teacher that turned the seemingly impossible to a reality! Only those who practice Dafa can experience this kind of deep happiness as this miracle not only strengthened my firm belief in Teacher and the Fa but my righteous thoughts became stronger and much more stable.

Let's put our faith in Teacher and the Fa because the Fa is capable of rectifying everything and our Teacher is behind every one of us. In fact, hundreds of thousands of miracles have been reported by practitioners all around the world. When our experiences are published on the Clearwisdom website, the lies of Chinese communist regime are exposed and very few Chinese people will be deceived by them anymore.

Dafa is supernormal and all encompassing. Let us use our own supernormal experiences to validate the Fa. This is the true manifestation of the mighty virtue of the Fa in everyday people's society. This is also to validate the hardships, the immense wisdom, and the boundless power when Teacher spreads the Fa, saves sentient beings, and rectifies the Fa of the Cosmos.

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a practitioner born in the 1980s. My cultivation path has been similar to most of the other young practitioners who began to practice during adolescence and cultivated through our teenage years.

During these years, our cultivation journeys have seen happiness and diligence after obtaining the Fa as well as the determination to continue cultivation after July 20, 1999. Some of us became less diligent after entering college, starting to work, falling in love, or getting married. However, Master never gave us up. He always gave us chances to come back to the cultivation path. As one of the young Falun Gong practitioners, I feel that selfishness, irresponsibility, and personal ambition--but not talent--are our general shortcomings.

Compared with some older practitioners, my cultivation is less solid. The mental capacities of older practitioners have been firmly expanded step by step. Looking at myself, I am really short on this kind of industrious and diligent attitude. I always have had great imagination but without actual follow through. After I turned 30, there were problems from work, family, the business, my marriage, and divorce. In such conditions, life choices need to be made carefully.

I obtained the when I was young, pure-hearted, and carefree. Now, lifestyle choices and problems with the balance between work and cultivation keep surfacing. Sometimes, I have felt that my evil nature was getting stronger. However, I can rectify it by practicing cultivation. It's not a big problem. My biggest concern was that I could not maintain a steady pace in my cultivation. I was always vacillating between diligence and relaxation.

Compared with other practitioners, I really feel ashamed about how I let up in my cultivation. I understood that the problem could be solved through righteous thoughts. The Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) is a really good website and has a lot of useful information, including Master's pictures, Master's lectures, practitioners' articles, and other materials to validate Dafa. When I feel lonely, I often listen to the “Heavenly Music” programs on MH Radio. (The English version of the website is currently not available.) Some songs, such as “The Family That We Came from,” “Journey of Coming and Returning,” and “Glorious Buddha with a Thousand Hands,” make me feel really calm and peaceful. Therefore, I would like to thank all the practitioners who make this happen.

(Clearwisdom.net) During the more than ten years I've practiced Falun Dafa, amazing things have happened to me. I have written some of them down to share with fellow practitioners and validate Dafa.

One night in 2000 when I was working the night shift, I suddenly felt very cold. When I touched my forehead, it was hot. It was 8:20 p.m. When I realized that I had a fever, I was a little worried, but I immediately reminded myself that I had obtained the , Master was taking care of me, and there was nothing to be afraid of. I just put my head on the table to rest for a while. Suddenly there was a sound. I lifted my head and touched my forehead again. The fever was gone, and there was no discomfort. When I looked the clock on the wall, it was 8:40 p.m.

In May 2007 when I was working, I suddenly experienced intense pain in my back. I thought it was my stomach so I went to the bathroom, but after I got home, my back still hurt. My wife gave me a hot water bottle to put on my back, and I felt better.

The next day, however, it got worse. With every step I took, it felt like something was vibrating inside me. The pain made for a very long day. After I returned home, I put the hot water bottle on again, but it didn't work this time. I couldn't sleep at all that night, just tossed and turned. In the morning, my wife, who is not a practitioner, told me, “I searched on the Internet. You've got kidney stones. The hospital can cure it easily. We've argued about this many times over the years. I don't want to talk about it anymore.” Then she left.

At that time, I was in so much pain that I couldn't get out of bed. I recalled Master's Fa and kept on asking myself, “I believe in Dafa. Is it wrong to believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?” I firmly told myself that my belief was right. Then I called a fellow practitioner. “My back really hurts. I almost can't endure it. Please help me,” I begged. She said, “Don't worry, we'll be there soon, you'll be fine.”

After I hung up the phone, I was sweating, groaning, and tossing on the bed. Soon the pain was so intense that I had to get out of bed and I hung onto the wall. As I kept on looking inward, I found a lot of attachments. I said to Master, “Master, although I haven't cultivated diligently and I have so many attachments, I am your disciple. I won't give up practicing cultivation even if this pain kills me.”

Around 9:00 a.m., I heard a knock at the door. I had to hold onto the wall to open it. Three fellow practitioners came in. They didn't say anything but immediately started to send forth righteous thoughts. One of them asked me to sit down and send forth righteous thoughts, too. At first I was worried that I couldn't sit up, but I tried anyway and found that the pain eased a little, and I could sit. The practitioner asked me to tell them what happened and asked me what thoughts had gone through my mind. Then she told me, “You cannot only just look inside yourself but you also have to send forth righteous thoughts to deny the persecution. No matter what kind of attachments you have, Master is looking out for you, and no evil is allowed to persecute you.”

I was hesitant, but soon I agreed with her and started to send forth righteous thoughts. Everything around us seemed to become silent. Then I heard a practitioner asking me, “How do you feel now?” I said, “A little bit better.” The practitioner corrected me right away and said, “Not just a little bit better, you are fine now!” I immediately realized that I hadn't thoroughly denied the old forces' arrangement, so I said, “Yes, I'm fine!” As soon as we said this, all the pain was gone.

When the practitioners left, I looked at the clock on the wall, it was 9:15. I rode my bicycle to work.

A practitioner helped me download software and install it on my computer. Ever since then, it has run well. In September 2009, I found a newer version on the Internet and hoped that practitioner would download it and give me a copy. Several days later, I suddenly enlightened that, since I knew how to use a computer, why didn't I just download it and give to others instead of waiting for others to help me? Was I afraid to download big files? I identified my attachment and knew I needed to eliminate it.

I found the web page to download the files. There were about 30 files, each about 20MB. I thought, “How long will it take to download all of them?” Usually the speed of downloading via software which breaks through the network blockade is only in KBs. While I was downloading, I said to the Internet and my computer, “Don't be interrupted, you are my Fa tools and you are helping me do the to save people.” Right after I said this, I watched the download speed get faster and faster, from dozens of KB to hundreds of KB, 1MB to more than 2MB. Later the files downloaded so fast that it was even faster than copying.

When there was a power failure in a large area at the beginning of February, 2011, I thought I should use the opportunity to check the high-voltage equipment that was hardly ever checked. So another practitioner (also my colleague) and I checked each piece of equipment. We went back to the office after we checked everything and made sure there were no problems.

In the afternoon, the practitioner told me excitedly, “Do you realize what happened this morning? Even though the power was off, the reactor rooms were supplied with electricity, and you were so close to the high-voltage equipment that you almost touched it!” Before I could say anything he continued, “If Master hadn't protected us, we surely would have been been burned.” I thought a while and agreed.

(Clearwisdom.net) I'm a doctor and psychologist. Before I began to cultivate I had all kinds of illnesses. I made frequent visits to hospitals and took medication for years, but to no avail. To find a cure, I consulted the best medical professionals and professors in our province. I was fortunate that many of my former medical school classmates were employed at the large hospitals in my area. Despite being a doctor I wasn't able to successfully treat my illnesses. It is difficult to express in mere words the helplessness and depression I felt during those years. However I was fortunate to obtain Falun Dafa, just when I felt utterly hopeless. Soon after I walked into this cultivation I became healthy.

Since July 20, 1999 the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong, affecting the entire nation. The CCP officials felt the pressure coming down from higher levels and their supervisors and were active participants in the persecution. They acted as if they were facing a national enemy. All officials, from top to bottom, at my work unit tried to me. That is, they told me to renounce Falun Gong. Instead, I used these opportunities to talk about Falun Gong and the benefits I derived from practicing it.

When the persecution started, the CCP Deputy Head responsible for the security at my work unit called me to his office. He changed his modest and kind mannerism that he generally used when dealing with elderly scholars. Once he saw me, he jumped up and screamed at the top of his lungs, "You are a psychologist, why are you practicing such nonsense and believe in these superstitions! Falun Gong is illegal, don't you know that?"

I was not affected by his attitude and remained very calm. I talked to him very calmly, slowly and in an even tone, "Practicing Falun Gong is not promoting superstition. Falun Gong helps people to become healthy. As you know I am a doctor, but I still suffered from a lot of illnesses, including rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation of the blood vessels that supply blood to the neck, my thyroid gland was hyperactive, inflammation of the thyroid gland, gastric ulcers, disorder of the heart rate, immune system deficiencies and McNeil syndrome. Not only did I feel helpless, but also the medical specialists, professors and the most senior doctors at all the big hospitals couldn't help me. However since I started to practice Falun Gong and did its exercises, I became healthy. Many people are aware of my turning healthy. Falun Gong teaches its practitioners to be good people, and live by a high moral standard according to the principals of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. As you know, I had retired some time ago, and am living on my retirement income, but I still treat people in my ex-work unit for free. I saved a number of people who were thinking of committing suicide."

He was called into a meeting and I couldn't say all I had on my mind. I recall now that we had a friendly chat. He didn't interrupt me even once and listened quietly. But, he didn't ask me to come and talk to him again. I hoped he had listened and absorbed some of what I said.

Clarifying the Truth to a Deputy Manager of the Retirement Office and to a Director of a Family Association

The retirement office deputy manager tried to also transform me and said, "Since the government doesn't allow you to practice Falun Gong, you should renounce it." I answered, "I must practice Falun Gong." He then said, "Being in opposition to the government is not good and only bad people would choose to do that." To this I said, "In 1999, the National psychology academy awarded two people the Model Workers Award, and I was one of them. I have their certificate, medal and the prize." While talking, I showed him the certificate. "How could I become suddenly a bad person, just because I practiced Falun Gong? Besides, I worked very hard and diligently at all times. You also asked me to cure your illnesses. Do you think that I look like a bad person?"

Then, I continued, "Falun Gong teaches us to live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We want to be good people. I already had registered with your office as a retired worker. Although I was already retired, I still helped in my former work unit. I not only resolved many peoples' psychological problems, but also stopped several people from committing suicide. What I am doing are good deeds and I am behaving like a good person!" After a short pause, I said "You know that I am a doctor. I had rheumatoid arthritis, suffered unbearable pain and my bones in my joints were disfigured. The hyperthyroidism made my eye-balls stick out of my eye sockets. Once the illness was in the advanced stage, my eyes felt dry, swollen, and I felt unbearable pain, which resulted in my head being swollen and sore. In addition I had other hard to cure illnesses, including carotid artery inflammation, tachycardia, conduction block and McNeil's syndrome. I went to see the most famous doctors in our province and not one could help me. But, after I practiced Falun Gong, I became healthy. Therefore, what's wrong with my practicing Falun Gong?" His response was, "The present situation is like this. The person who behaves according to the current situation is smart. What I am trying to tell you is for your own good!"

Soon after, the family association director, a retired former CCP official, visited me. I about Falun Gong based on the following two facts -- Falun Gong teaches people to have high moral standards and it helps people to become healthy. I just repeated what I had said to the assistant manager of the retirement office. This director had bad health. When I worked as a doctor, I saw him often. After I retired, he went to see other doctors and they couldn't help him, so he came to me for help. Therefore, we knew each other well. When I talked about my former illnesses, I was more specific. I also took out two thick books, which were my former medical records that the provincial level hospital gave me. I also mentioned that even the most senior doctors couldn't help me. However after practicing Falun Gong I became healthy. In the end he asked, "Is it easy to practice these exercises?" I responded, "It is easy. Do you want to practice?" He said he just asked out of curiosity.

At the end of 2008, someone from the told me to immediately come to the office. I hesitated at first, but then thought that this would be my chance to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to them. On the way, I was sending righteous thoughts and asked Master to strengthen me. Upon arriving at the 610 Office, the leader asked me, "You are still practicing Falun Gong, aren't you?" I answered, "Of course I do."

He began to slander Falun Gong. I talked to him calmly, "Practicing Falun Gong can make people healthy. You know I am a doctor. I used to be very unhealthy and suffered from rheumatoid arthritis, carotid artery inflammation, hyperthyroidism, thyroiditis, gastric ulcers, tachycardia, conduction block, McNeil's syndrome and other illnesses. The rheumatoid arthritis not only brought me unbearable pain but also disfigured my joints." While talking I showed him my hand and pointed to my finger joints, which were no longer crippled. "The hyperthyroidism made my eye balls stick out of my eye sockets. When I had reached the advanced stage, my eyes felt like being struck by the sharp point of a rice bush and tears bathed my face. All that pain made it impossible for me to open my eyes. Then I had carotid artery inflammation, also another rare illness. The carotid artery is one of man's major arteries and if it gets inflamed it causes headaches. The illnesses, rheumatoid arthritis, carotid artery inflammation, hyperthyroidism, thyroiditis, are a low immunology function. I went to the provincial level first-class hospital to check my immunological system function. One of the indexes of my immunological system function was two plus. Only a person with quite serious lupus erythematosus would show such a positive index."

Then I asked him, "Do you know anything about lupus erythematosus?" He responded, "It is some kind of skin disease." I then said, "Therefore my illness was very severe. The medical specialists, professors and the most senior doctors at all the big hospitals felt helpless when facing me. However since I started to practice Falun Gong I became healthy. My husband is a scientist. He told me that even if the symptoms disappeared one still carries the illness and is not completely healed. He insisted that I consult another hospital to find out whether my index was normal or not. We went to see the same medical specialist who checked my rheumatism. When she saw me, she said, 'You look quite good. I haven't seen you for a long time. Where did get your prescription?' I told her that I hadn't taken any medication for a very long time. She looked at me with a questioning expression on her face and said in a surprised tone, 'Impossible! Others, who do not have as bad an index as yours have to take hormones for the rest of their lives.' I said again honestly and sincerely, "For real, I no longer take any medication. She responded, 'If you really did not take any medicine, it would be a miracle!' My husband was standing there listening. Finally the index results came in and it was normal. Therefore, practicing Falun Gong can actually heal diseases. This is the absolute truth."

Later I said how Falun Gong taught us to be good people who adhere to a high moral standard. I repeated what I had told the others when they talked to me. Later he asked me, "Have you seen the ? I said, "I read it." He answered, "What did you think?" I said that it is the truth. He suddenly raised his voice to a high pitch level and challenged me, "Is it true?"

I told him calmly, "When I was in middle school it was the 'anti-rightist' period. We were asked to offer our opinion to our teacher. At that time children didn't understand the seriousness of that question. After all, what would children know about the consequences of giving their honest opinion? Our opinions resulted in our teacher being categorized to be on the right; that is, he became our class enemy. We were all shocked at that time. But many years later it turned out that the entire movement was wrong." The 610 Office leader was speechless. Then an elderly person came in with a paper in his hand. That man said he had things to discuss with the leader, so the leader left his office and headed to his supervisor's office. I really do not know how much he absorbed of what I said or what impact or effect took place as a result of our talk. At least they still had an opportunity to listen to the truth.

The above relates some of my experiences with about Falun Gong. My cultivation path continued as I recounted above. I spoke about Falun Gong from my heart and thus many people could receive a good impression of Falun Gong.
