(Clearwisdom.net) When over ten police officers went to a factory to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tian Shihong, more than a hundred workers stood up to them, and the police had to leave without him.

On the morning of May 12, 2011, Wang Yong, head of the Huanshanlu Police Station, and more than ten officers went to Hongyun Carpet Factory to arrest the director Mr. Tian Shihong. They attempted to take Mr. Tian to the Zhangqiu Brainwashing Center. Wang Yong handcuffed Mr. Tian by force and yelled at his subordinates, “Are you all dead? Why are you just standing there?” Four or five of the officers then started to drag Mr. Tian away. Mr. Tian shouted, “Bad people are arresting good people!” Then he passed out. The police dragged him more than ten meters.

The entire group of more than a hundred workers in the workshop got up and went over to stop the police. Some of the workers demanded, “You’ve put handcuffs on him. Where is your arrest warrant?” They insisted that the police take off the handcuffs. Mr. Tian’s wife also questioned the officers. The officers left without him.

The Zhangqiu Brainwashing Center was established recently in Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province, to detain and transform Falun Gong practitioners. Since mid May, the Wendeng City Political and Judiciary Committee and the 610 Office have ordered all police stations to arrest practitioners. The arrests meet with resistance. Some families and the officers have been at a standoff for some time and won't let them take anyone away. Some families won't even open their doors.

People Are Waking Up to What is Happening Around Them

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has discreetly established brainwashing centers all over the country. The Chinese people have started to realize what these brainwashing centers are. Falun Gong practitioners are deprived of freedom and tortured in those brainwashing centers. The practitioners are good people and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. What are they going to “transform” them into?

Many friends and families who understand Falun Dafa and its practitioners have come forward and refused to cooperate with the CCP regarding the persecution of Falun Dafa. They protect practitioners in their own ways.

Friends and Family Protect Practitioners

Ms. Chen Guilan is an employee of Xibeihu Adventure Park in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. On May 20, 2011, officers from the Xinhua Street Police Station and Beihu Street Police Station went to her workplace and attempted to arrest her. Ms. Chen's colleagues didn't let them take Ms. Chen away and called her husband right away. Her husband and son arrived and condemned the officers' action. Her husband said, “If you want to take her away, you'll have to run over me.” He then walked toward the police car and lay down in front of it.

Ms. Yang Qian was taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center when she was riding to work on her bicycle on May 6, 2011. Meanwhile, her mother and sister were threatened. On the morning of June 3, Huang Junbo, personnel from the Xi'an Road Comprehensive Management Office, went to Ms. Yang's home and said that they would arrest the mother and sister if the sister did not write a guarantee statement. Ms. Yang's mother was arguing with Huang Junbo in the hallway. A neighbor came out and scolded Huang Junbo, “Where are you from? Show your ID. Your act is the same as those in the Cultural Revolution.” Huang Junbo was afraid after that.

A story was posted recently on the Minghui website (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/4/29/124737.html). One man went to Laishui County in Hebei Province to visit his relative who is a practitioner. He looked like a stranger to the area. He stopped in his relative's residential area and asked for directions. To his surprise, none of the neighbors would help him. They said that there was no one there by that name, and they directed him to look elsewhere. The fellow walked back and forth through the area three times and still did not get any help. Finally, he begged one of the neighbors, saying, “I really am his relative, and I have come a long way to visit him. Please help me find his place.” The neighbor was still cautious about it and called the practitioner after getting the name of his relative. The neighbor said, “Do you have a relative by this name?” After the practitioner confirmed that the visitor was a relative, the neighbor led the visitor to the door. After they met, the visitor brought up the neighbors’ reactions to the family. The family explained that they were frequently harassed by local police because someone in their family practices Falun Dafa. The neighbors were angry with the whole situation. They stood up to protect this family by not letting any stranger get close to them. The visitor finally understood.

Families Fight for Practitioners' Freedom

At the beginning of the persecution, many families of Falun Gong practitioners were intimidated by the CCP's extreme and cruel policy to "Defame their reputation, bankrupt them financially, destroy them physically." Even though they knew practitioners benefited a lot from the practice, they still tried to have them give up the practice. More than ten years of persecution hasn't defeated practitioners. Their families have seen the goodness of Falun Dafa through the practitioners and no longer give in to the authorities.

Mr. Cheng Peiming, from Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested in May 2001. He was sentenced to eight years in prison and was transferred to Daqing Prison in July 2004. On November 26, 2004, Mr. Cheng's parents, sisters and wife, with a child in her arms, went to Daqing City Hall. In front of the City Hall, they took Mr. Cheng's picture in their hands and held it up, and held a banner with the words “Return my family member Cheng Peiming.” Half an hour later, the Appeals Office personnel took them to the office and questioned them.

Mr. Zhou Xiangyang was taken to the Tangshan Domestic Security Team where he was tortured and interrogated in March 2011. He was later transferred to the Gangbei Prison in Tianjin. Mr. Zhou was on a hunger strike for more than 90 days. On April 12, 2011, his mother stood outside of the prison wearing a vest with the words, “My son is in critical condition - Gangbei Prison will not let his parents visit him - My son is a good person.”

Mr. Zhou Xiangyang's mother wrote a letter to the media. She said, “I'm speaking with confidence that it is legal for my son to practice Falun Gong and clarify the truth. The police officers and guards are committing crimes and persecuting my son. My son sacrificed his youth for adhering to his belief and fighting for justice. He should be respected by others. I cry whenever I recall the experiences of my previous visit, but I am still proud of my son. Justice will be done to my son in the near future.” “A lawyer surnamed Xie told the judges in his court speech, 'You're not punished by the law now, but it doesn't mean that you will not be punished in the future.'”

Brainwashing Continues to This Day

Today more Chinese people have learned the facts of Falun Gong and give their support. However, the CCP still persecutes Falun Gong practitioners with brainwashing methods.

On the afternoon of June 6, 2011, Secretary of Nanmeng Town Political and Judiciary Committee, and officers from Nanmeng Town Police Station broke into Ms. Fu Lanying's home in Pijaying Village, Nanmeng Town, Bazhou City, Hebei Province. They ignored the facts that Ms. Fu's mother-in-law was paralyzed and needed to be taken care of. They seized Ms. Fu and pushed her into a car. Ms. Fu's husband lay down in front of the car and was pulled away by two officers. Ms. Fu was taken to the Bazhou Brainwashing Center.

In May 2011, agents from Chongqing 610 Office and officers from Fuqing Road Police Station deceived Chengdu Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yin Sirong, and took him to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center right after he finished a one year and nine month term in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing.

The CCP not only persecutes Falun Gong, it also threatens all Chinese people's basic rights. Speaking up for Falun Gong practitioners will help maintain social morality and build a better social environment.
