(Clearwisdom.net) I’m 55 years old and am from Hebei Province. I was originally a primary school teacher. Since I was young, I suffered from many illnesses, including vasculitis, heart disease, tuberculosis, and cervical spondylosis. In 1984, I developed ulcerative colitis and was thereafter tortured by this particular disease for 13 years. The long-term pain and suffering was so severe that it cannot be expressed in words, and caused me to lose the courage to live. It is Falun Dafa that gave me a second life. I personally experienced and witnessed how extraordinary and miraculous Dafa is.

Neither Western nor Chinese medicine could heal me

After I developed ulcerative colitis, I had purulent blood in my stool every day and wasted away from the disease. In order to cure it, my husband took me to visit more than a dozen hospitals. None was able to cure me. I was also treated by veteran doctors of Chinese medicine in Beijing and Shijiazhuang City, and tried some special prescriptions as well, but neither had any effect. It would be no exaggeration to say that the medicine I took during those 13 years could fill several trucks.

My condition went from bad to worse in the winter of 1996. I could barely walk and was soon hospitalized in Beijing Hospital. A subsequent exam found proliferated cancer cells from the ulcerative colitis. I was unable to eat. After having spent more than 20,000 yuan on hospital expenses, I had to leave in desperation.

In desperation I was fortunate to encounter Dafa

After I returned home from Beijing, I decided not to treat the ulcerative colitis anymore. In the abyss of despair, I cried all day. I had suffered enough over those 13 years.

While in deep desperation, I encountered a Falun Dafa practitioner by chance in September 1997. He told me about Falun Gong and brought me the precious book Zhuan Falun. As soon as I opened the book, I felt warmth in my abdomen, which I had not experienced since developing the ulcerative colitis. After taking a further look at the book, I found each page was shining with red light. I was very happy to see this, thinking, “Dafa is so miraculous!” As I read more, I suddenly felt full of life and energy. From that day on, the hope of recovery came from the bottom of my heart.

Soon I found a practice site. Fellow practitioners enthusiastically taught me to do the exercises and gave me the tapes of Master teaching the Fa, which greatly warmed and encouraged me. I immediately decided to practice Falun Dafa that same day. Unexpectedly, the miracle happened on the fourth day. The ulcerative colitis that had tortured me for 13 years miraculously disappeared in a flash. My bowels returned to normal and there was no purulent blood in my stool. I felt happy and at ease all over.

The next morning after I got up, I took out Zhuan Falun, turned to the page with Master’s image, and put it on the nightstand respectfully. I kowtowed to Master’s image three times, overwhelmed with appreciation and tears, “Master, I’m so grateful to you. It is you that gave me a second life. I will follow you and practice cultivation to the end!”

The miracle of Dafa moved my family

The news of my recovery soon spread to relatives, friends, and neighbors. Many people came to visit me or called me to inquire about my condition. After hearing what happened, they were all shocked. My family members were beyond excited about my recovery. During the previous 13 years, my husband had endured many difficulties visiting hospitals and doctors, and fell into desperation in the end. After I practiced Falun Dafa for four days, however, all my diseases disappeared without any medicine or expense. He very much appreciated Master and Dafa!

When the weather got cold, hearing there was no heat at the practice site, my husband suggested that I “discuss it with the other practitioners and invite them to move the practice site to our home.” So the following day the practice site was moved to my home. My husband bought a new tape recorder in advance and laid out a new carpet. As more people came to the practice site, my husband vacated three rooms and bought four sets of new quilts to place as carpets. It then got colder and colder day by day, but every day my husband kept the stove burning brightly. Whatever Dafa needed, he always helped actively. Gradually, he also began to practice Falun Dafa.

Firmly practicing Dafa while in tribulations

After Jiang Zemin and his followers began the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, the local 610 Office and officials from my company came to my home with video recorders. They told me to criticize and slander Dafa. I told them, “It is because of Falun Dafa that my life was saved. Without practicing Falun Dafa, I should have been dead for many years. Master is my savior. Falun Dafa is good.” They recorded the video, but later played the video on TV without my voice. Someone else’s voice was dubbed in to slander Dafa.

During the past few years, the evildoers came to harass me many times. They forcibly took me into custody, attempting to force me to give up my belief in Falun Dafa. Whatever happened, I just explained the facts about Falun Gong to them. Many of them then understood the truth and walked onto the path of Dafa afterward.
