Who in China Wants to Share the Fate of Egyptian Officer Mohammed Mahmud Abdul Mun'em?

June 13, 2011 |   By Huai Yu

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, Egyptian police officer Mohammed Mahmud Abdul Mun'em received a death sentence for killing 20 protesters and wounding 15 on January 28, 2011. This is the first death sentence given to government officials who killed protesters after Hosni Mubarak resigned from his post, ending the Egyptian dictatorship. In the future perhaps more police officers like Mohammed will be sentenced.

Taking Mohammed as an example, in a society without democracy or a sound legal system, many police officers are unknowingly controlled and used by dictatorships. The abuses that took place in Egypt mirror Chinese society. Many Chinese police officers do evil deeds using the so-called excuse of “enforcing the law”. The public in China often says: “Police in China are legal gangsters.” Under the guise of being “legal”, Chinese police are more and more brazenly carrying out evil and criminal deeds.

As reported by minghui.ca (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) on May 20, 2011, Harbin Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Hu Shengchun and Ms. Wei Zhi were arrested by four police officers from Shangzhi Police Station on the Yibaitian Bridge in Daoli District on May 13 this year. They were arrested because they wished to share the beauty of Shen Yun Performing Arts, whose performances showcase classical Chinese dance and music, and were handing out DVDs to people passing by.

In addition to beating these two ladies, the police officers also stripped Ms. Hu Shengchun of her clothes, leaving her wearing only a brassiere. Seven or eight armed police carried the two ladies to a police car, threatening that they would have someone sit on both of them.

People who witnessed the scene were very indignant and tried to stop this outrage. But the police ignored them and continued to publicly assault the practitioners.

It is astonishing that police officers “enforced the law” with such a scoundrel way. The people who saw this were shocked by the way they abused the two helpless women.

But Chinese police don't care how they act. In their minds, just by wearing a police uniform, all the “illegal” things they do become “legal”.

Here I want to give a specific example. Harbin Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Luo Li was arrested in April by police officers from Quxian Police Station, Nangang District. In the police station, he was tortured with a dozen different methods. He was physically assaulted and verbally insulted by police officers Huang Hongwei, Sun Fucheng and Li Yongqiang. When Mr. Luo's relatives saw the wounds all over his body, they went to the police station and asked for an explanation. The police officer who talked to them acted like a scoundrel. He shamelessly demanded of Mr. Luo's family: “Which of you saw us beat him?”

According to Chinese law, when police officers force people to kneel, strip them of their clothes or torture them, it does not matter what position they hold, they violate the law. This is how Chinese police persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Their behavior is exactly like police officer Mohammed Mahmud Abdul Mun'em who blindly followed a dictatorship and killed innocent people.

Protected by the communist regime, the police persecute practitioners using all kinds of evil methods at will. But the Chinese communist regime's dictatorship won't last forever: morality and justice are eternal values that guide human society. As more and more Chinese people realize the evil nature of the regime and withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the regime is doomed to collapse. If Chinese police still continue to blindly follow the regime then they will surely share the fate of Officer Mohammed Mahmud Abdul Mun'em.
