(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 20 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Hegang, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ji Shibin Arrested by a Dozen Plainclothes Policemen on the Morning of May 12, 2011
2. [Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shao Yuhua and Ms. Sun Lirong Detained in the Qiqihar Brainwashing Center
Officers from the Fuyu County Domestic Security Team of Qiqihar went to the local industrial and business bureau and arrested Ms. Shao Yuhua and Ms. Sun Lirong on May 12, 2011. The two practitioners were directly sent to the Qiqihar Brainwashing Center.
3. [Huludao, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Li Sulian
Ms. Li Sulian from Gangyaoling, Huludao was arrested by police on the night of May 16, 2011. She is currently detained in the Huludao Detention Center. On the night of May 17, 2011, the local police also took Ms. Li’s oldest daughter-in-law and second son to the Gangyaoling Police Station. Ms. Li’s second son was handcuffed, shackled and tortured. After Ms. Li’s family paid 6000 yuan, the police released Ms. Li’s daughter-in-law and second son.

4. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Liqin and Others Arrested
About ten Falun Gong practitioners from Yanziji, Nanjing studied the Fa in Ms. Zhou Liqin’s home on the afternoon of May 15, 2011. About 20 plainclothes policemen including Xiao Ningjian from the Nanjing Domestic Security Team and Chief of the Yanziji Police Station took away those practitioners from Ms. Zhou’s home. The police also confiscated Falun Gong materials, a laptop and other property. Some practitioners were released at 2 a.m. on May 16, 2011. Ms. Zhou Liqin (46 years old), Ms. Peng Guihua (45 years old), Ms. Zhang Xiuhua (58 years old) were sent to the Nanjing Detention Center. Officers sent Ms. Zhang Xiuhua’s 60-year-old husband, Sun Genluo, to the detention center and Mr. Li Yuanneng to the brainwashing center.

5. [Bayanzuoer, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Feng Tianzhi Arrested by Police at the Baotou Train Station on the Morning of May 15, 2011
6. [Zhijin County, Guizhou Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Sentenced by the Zhijin Court
Officers from the Agong Police Station arrested Mr. Fan Fagui, Ms. Wang Qin, Mr. Cai Faming and Mr. Feng Qiming on November 1, 2010. The officers found them distributing Falun Gong materials. On April 26, 2011, the Zhijin Court sentenced Mr. Fan Fagui to five years in prison; Ms. Wang Qin, three and a half years; Mr. Cai Faming, two years; Mr. Feng Qiming, 2 years.
7. [Songzi, Hubei Province] Mr. Huang Wanping and Ms. Zhao Mei Arrested
Mr. Huang Wanping and Ms. Zhao Mei were distributing Shen Yun DVDs in Yanglinshi Town, Songzi at 10 a.m. on May 19, 2011. They were reported to police and taken to the Yanglinshi Police Station.

8. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Yulong and Others Arrested
On the morning of May 19, 2011, Ms. Cao Xiaoxiao, Mr. Liu Yulong and his wife Liu Jinping from Shuangyang District were arrested by police while they were at the Food Court of Shuangyang Mall. The police also ransacked Ms. Liu Yulong’s home.
9. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Lu Zun and Others Arrested
Mr. Lu Zun was reported to police while he talked to a group of pupils on quitting the CCP’s affiliate organization in Huajiatun on the morning of May 14, 2011. He was arrested by the Huajiatun Police Station.
10. [Laiwu, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiao Fangyu, Ms. Li Zaihua and Ms. Zhong Rong Arrested
Ms. Jiao Fangyu, Ms. Li Zaihua and Ms. Zhang Rong from Gangcheng District, Laiwu went to Longziyu, Xujiazhuang Township, Yiyuan to talk to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of May 16, 2011. They were reported to police and taken away by officers from the Xujiazhuang Police Station. They are being detained in the Xujiazhuang Police Station.
11. [Anqiu, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Shuhua Arrested
Ms. Yang Shuhua was followed and arrested by police on the afternoon of May 7, 2011. She is currently detained in the Anqiu Brainwashing Center.
12. [Gaomi, Shandong Province] Mr. Qin Songfa and His Wife Xu Xiuzhen Currently Detained in the Gaomi Brainwashing Center
13. [Pingdingshan, Henan Province] Ms. Bai E Arrested
Officers from the Dongfenglu Police Station and the Xiang County Police Station arrested Ms. Bai E on the morning of May 19, 2011. The police also searched her home.
14. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Fengchun and Ms. Liu Shuying Arrested
Three officers from the Cuihuangkou Police Station discovered Ms. Li Fengchun and Ms. Liu Shuying from Cuihuangkou Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin, on the night of May 12, 2011. The two women were in the process of hanging Falun Gong banners so the police arrested them. They tied Ms. Li’s hands behind her back and sealed her mouth with tape. In the police station, Ms. Li was forced sit on a steel chair. Her hands and feet were cuffed.

15. [Linyi, Shandong Province] Mr. Ji Zhongsheng Arrested
Mr. Ji Zhongsheng from Lanshan, Linyi was taken away from his home by the local police on the morning of April 29, 2011. He is currently detained in the Zhangqiu Brainwashing Center.

16. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhang Xuefeng and His Wife’s Recent Situation
Mr. Zhang Xuefeng is being detained in the Xiaguan District Detention Center while his wife Liu Kaimei is in the Nanjing Detention Center.
17. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Others Arrested
On the morning of May 11, 2011, Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Ms. Fan Cuizhi from Shandong Village and Ms. Xu Cuilan from Chagou Village, Mutoudeng Town, Qinglong County, Qinhuangdao were reported to police while they were talking to people about Falun Gong in Hepingzhuang, Dawulan Township, Qinglong County. Officers from the Dawulan Police Station took them away. Ms. Zhang Yuqin was released that same day; Ms. Xu Cuilan went home on May 16, 2011; Ms. Fan Cuizhi was sent to the Guangchashan Detention Center of Qinglong.
18. [Wulumuqi, Xinjiang] Ms. Bai Yi Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Officers from the Wulumuqi 610 Office and the Shudi Police Station of Tianshan District took Ms. Bai Yi from Tianshan District to the Midongxin District Brainwashing Center on May 17, 2011.

Ms. Huang Zhenfeng and Ms. Cui Shulian were arrested at Yaogou Village by officers from the Lingbei Police Station at 11 a.m. on May 15, 2011. They are currently detained in the Lingyuan Detention Center.
