(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 31 cities or counties in 15 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 45 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shao Yuhua and Ms. Sun Lirong Persecuted in the Qiqihar Brainwashing Center
The instructor and two policemen from the Fuyu County Domestic Security Team in Qiqihar went to the local industrial and business bureau and arrested Ms. Shao Yuhua and Ms. Sun Lirong on May 12, 2011. The two practitioners were directly transferred to the Qiqihar Brainwashing Center.
2. [Zunhua, Hebei Province] Mr. Yan Fuxiang and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Yan Fuxiang, in his 60s, lives in Puchihe Village, Xiliucun Township, Zunhua. Zunhua domestic security agents arrested him and his wife on May 11, 2011. They are currently being detained in the brainwashing center.

3. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
Liu Zhanhai and other policemen from Daoli District, Harbin took away about 50 Falun Gong practitioners who had gathered for Falun Gong exercises outdoors on the morning of May 14, 2011 .
4. [Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zheng Xujun Persecuted
The Wuyi 610 Office took several family members of Mr. Zheng Xujun to the Liucheng Town Brainwashing Center on the morning of May 14, 2011.
Mr. Zheng Xujun is a Ph.D. candidate of the China Electric Power Research Institute. He was expelled for practicing Falun Dafa and his household registration was canceled. Before the Beijing Olympic Games, he was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp where he was detained and tortured for more than two years.

5. [Fuxin, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sha Xiuhua Arrested
Officers from the Huadong Police Station and the Xihe District Police Department went to ransack the home of 56-year-old Ms. Sha Xiuhua on the afternoon of May 9, 2011. The police took away photos of Master Li, Falun Gong books and a computer. Ms. Sha was taken to the Huadong Police Station. She is being detained in the Xindi Detention Center in Fuxin.

6. [Langfang, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Shuwen Detained in the Langfang Detention Center
Ms. Chen Shuwen in her 40s was followed and arrested on the evening of May 11, 2011 while she went out to talk to people about Falun Gong. Now she is being detained in the Langfang Detention Center.
7. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Ye Detained
Ms. Zhao Ye was reported to police while she distributed Falun Gong DVDs on February 25, 2011. She was taken to the Huojulu Police Station and transferred to the Tangshan Detention Center where she was detained for 15 days. Liu Hong and other officers from the Gaoxin Developing District Police Department handcuffed Ms. Zhao and sent her to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp for a 21-month term.

Mr. Zhu Yalin works at the Seventh Branch of Chinese Petroleum Company. He went to visit Mr. Zhang Hongliang on May 11, 2011. The police arrested them along with Mr. Zhang’s wife.
10. [Longhua County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xiangyun Persecuted
On May 13, 2011, six persons from the Longhua 610 Office broke into the home of Ms. Liu Xiangyun and took away Falun Dafa books, Falun Gong DVDs, Shen Yun DVDs, etc.
Ms. Liu Xiangyun had been detained for 15 days in October 2000 because she went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Dafa. Her Falun Dafa books were taken away from her home. In July 2001, Wang Liping and other officers from the Longhua Police Department took her to the detention center for brainwashing. Ms. Liu Xiangyun was taken to the detention center and detained there for one month by Sun Hongwen, Wu Huawei from the Longhua Domestic Security Team in May 2003. She was held at the detention center for one month and then transferred to the Luzhazigou Brainwashing Center in Chengde City, Hebei Province. She was not released until her family paid 5000 yuan.

Ms. Ma Ruifang was taken away by An Yifei, the Deputy Chief of Chengan Police Department while putting up Falun Gong banners at about 10 p.m. on May 12, 2011. She is now being detained in the Chengan Detention Center.

Mr. Xiao Hu is a singer in Harbin. He was followed and arrested around May 13, 2011 because he talked to people about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked that night. The police took away his computer and Dafa books.

On the morning of May 16, 2011, Ms. Liu Suping from Weishui, Jingjing County and another practitioner from Luozhuang Village were taken away by Bi Bo and Zang Yanrong from the Jingjing Police Department and sent to the Taihuajie Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Ji Yaojie and Ms. Tang Huiyun were arrested and taken to the Luotaishan Brainwashing Center in Fushun, Liaoning Province at noon on May 16, 2011.

17. [Zizhong County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Xingyu Arrested
Officers from the Yinshan Town government, the Yinshan Comprehensive Administration Office and the Yinshan Police Station of Zizhong County deceived Mr. Chen Xingyu into going to the Town Hall of Yinshan and arrested him on the morning of May 16, 2011.

19. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Including Ms. Yang Guizhi Arrested
Ms. Ren Suying lives in Jianchangying Village, Yuanguobaoshan District, Chifeng. She was arrested on April 18, 2011. Ms. Ren went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She was taken to the Wengniuteqi Hospital for forced feeding.
Ms. Yang Guizhi is a teacher of the Yuangaobaoshan District Ethnic High School. On May 12, 2011, Mr. Yu Shenlin, his wife Ms. Ren Suxiang, and her sister Ms. Yang Guihua went to Wengniuteqi to rescue Ms. Ren Suying. Liu Caijun and other officers from the Wengniuteqi Domestic Security Team arrested the four practitioners. The practitioners were transferred to the Yuanguobaoshan District Detention Center on May 15, 2011.

20. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Hu Xinxin Arrested
Ms. Hu Xinxin from Daozhu Village, Yuping Town, Pingjiang posted a Falun Gong sign on the side of a road on May 14, 2011. Officers from the Yuping 610 Office and the local police station arrested her and ransacked her home. Ms. Hu is currently being detained in the Pingjiang Detention Center.
21. [Yinchuan, Ningxia] Mr. Ding Qian Arrested
Mr. Ding Qian from Xingqing District was taken away by officers from the Funingjie Police Station at 1:50 a.m. on May 15, 2011, while he was working at the Yinji Property Management Company. At noon, eight officers including Jia Yubin and Wang Shiyuan from the Xingqing Police Department and Zhang Yingcai from the Funingjie Police Station ransacked her home. Mr. Ding is being detained in the local detention center.
22. [Kuancheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zhong Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhong was followed by plainclothes police on the night of May 13, 2011 while distributing Falun Gong materials. At 7 o'clock the next morning, domestic security officers went to ransack his home and confiscated many Falun Gong materials. Mr. Wang Zhong was also arrested.

23. [Laixi, Shandong Province] The Rizhuang Town Police Station Arrested Many Falun Gong Practitioners Recently
Mr. Wang Xingmei, Ms. Zhang Shumei and Ms. Wang Li were taken away by the Rizhuang Town Police Station in Laixi on May 10, 2011 while they were hanging Falun Gong banners. The police arrested Mr. Zhou Zhongxing and Ms. Zhao Xiumei on the night of May 11, 2011.
24. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Jiahong and His Brothers Arrested
On the morning of May 13, 2011, Mr. Guo Jiahong and his two brothers from Zeerzhuang, Kuiwen District, Weifang were taken away from their home by domestic security agents. Now Mr. Guo Jiahong and one of his two brothers are being detained in the Detention Center while his other brother Mr. Guo Jiasheng is in the Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Lian Langui from Hedong District was reported to the police and arrested on May 15, 2011 while she was talking to people about Falun Gong at Jialefu Supermarket in Hedong District. Now she is being detained in the Hedong Police Department.

Guo Feng and other policemen from the Faku Police Department broke into the home of Ms. Wang Huili and arrested her again on the morning of May 16, 2011. She was sent to Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

29. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Guiying Detained in the Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp for an Extended Term
Ms. Tian Guiying from Tang County was arrested on April 28, 2010 and sent to the Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term. She has been detained in the third division. Her term supposedly ended on April 27, 2011. However the camp has not released her because she refuses to renounce her belief in Falun Gong.
30. [Yanji, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiuqin Persecuted
Ms. Wang Xiuqin was arrested by officers from the Jiangong Police Station on May 8, 2010 while she was talking to people about Falun Gong in the Yanji Developing District. She was sent to the Yanji Detention Center. The court secretly sentenced her to three years in prison on September 7, 2010. She was sent to the Heizuizi Prison in Changchun on December 16, 2010.
Between December 15 and 17, 2001, Ms. Wang Xiuqin was arrested by police from the Beishanjie Police Station who were monitoring her while she was distributing Falun Gong materials at Beishan Street, Yanji. Her home was ransacked and the police took away Falun Dafa books. Ms. Wang was detained in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for a year.
31. [Taiyuan, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wei Xiuling Homeless and Ms. Gao Xiubing Arrested
Six policemen from the Taiyuan Police Department and the Jianhe Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Wei Xiuling at 10 a.m. on May 15, 2011 and ransacked it for more than three hours. The police did not find any evidence. Ms. Wei Xiuling was forced to become homeless.
Recently, Ms. Gao Xiubing was arrested.
32. [Wuan, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Haixia Arrested
A number of officers from the Kangcheng Town 610 Office of Wuan and the Kangercheng Town Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Li Haixia in Kangxi Village at 5:30 a.m. on May 13, 2011. Ms. Li was taken to the brainwashing center in the Huimin Technical School in Pingshan Village, Tushan Township, Wuan.

33. [Leshan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Bin and Other Practitioners Persecuted
Ms. Liu Bin (40 years old), Ms. Gu Suhua (57 years old) and Ms. Zhong Shufeng (56 years old) were arrested by officers from the Wangcun Police Station on July 13, 2011 while they distributed Falun Gong materails in Wangcun, Jingyan County. They were detained in the Jingyan Detention Center. In the later half of November 2010, Ms. Liu Bin was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Ms. Gu Suhua and Ms. Zhong Shufeng were sentenced to three years in prison. The three practitioners were sent to the Longquanyi Prison in Chengdu in the middle of Mach 2011.
34. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Lao Peng Arrested
Ms. Lao Peng lives in Hongshan District, Wuhan. She was taken away from her home by seven or eight policemen at 10 a.m. on May 16, 2011.
35. [Kunming, Yunnan Province] Ms. Peng Zhenglan and Ms. Ding Guiying Arrested
Ms. Peng Zhenglan and Ms. Ding Guiying were arrested on May 11, 2011. Now they are being detained in the Guandu Detention Center.
36. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Mr. Li Shigang
Mr. Li Shigang was arrested at 6 a.m. on April 28, 2011 and detained in the Jilin Detention Center. During the detention, as a result of persecution, Mr. Li's back and feet were injured and he could not take care of himself. Two week later, Mr. Li was sent to the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp for an 18-month term.
