May 26, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Gansu Province

(Clearwisdom.net) There are at least 16 practitioners currently illegally detained in Lanzhou Prison in Gansu Province. Some of them have been subjected to harsh persecution.

Prison Ward 1:

Practitioner Mr. Cui Yonglin was sentenced to eight years in prison by the Baiyin Court. Soon after, he was transferred from Ward 8 to Ward 1. On July 29, 2010, he was subjected to harsh persecution. The guards handcuffed his hands and feet, severely beat him with electric batons. In addition, the guards hung him up in the air and didn’t allow him to sleep for long periods of time.

Those responsible include: Wei Zhoudong (squadron head), Zhu Jialiang (section head, as well as the persecutor of practitioner Mr. Lu Baoliang), Niu Xuanyao (political head), Xu Hongtai (prisoner), Sang Wenyu (prisoner) and Li Ziyu (prisoner)

Prison Ward 2:

Prison Ward 3:

Practitioners Mr. Wei Xingzhu, Mr. Shao Yanbo and Mr. Fang Youguang are being detained in prison ward 3.

Prison Ward 4:

Practitioner Mr. Chang Jubin from Baiyin City was often subjected to severe beatings. Due to long-term persecution, he has developed mental disorders. In 2009, a prisoner lied to the guards, saying that Mr. Chang practiced the Falun Gong exercises. The guards subsequently tied him to a bed for four days and nights, in addition to torturing him on a tiger bench for several days.

Those responsible include Su Donghai (political head), Ma Qinghua (prisoner) and Ma Qingxiang (prisoner)

Prison Ward 5:

Practitioner Mr. Jia Peifu from Baiyin City was again sentenced. His condition is currently unknown.

Prison Ward 6:

Practitioner Mr. Bai Sanyuan from Jingyuan County was subjected to forced labor. He was then transferred to Lanzhou Prison Ward 6 in 2010. Due to long-term persecution, he is in very poor health; however, the guards still torture and brainwash him.

The responsible persecutors are Sha Li (political head) and Ren Hongjun (deputy political head).

Prison Ward 8:

Practitioner Mr. Jiang Minghui was subjected to seven years of imprisonment.

Practitioners Mr. Zhang Tao from Baiyin City and Mr. Yang Yunhai from Lanzhou City are detained in this ward as well.

Prison Ward 9:

The chief persecutor is Zhang Haijun (political head)

Prison Ward 10:

Practitioner Mr. Li Wenming from Lanzhou City was subjected to 20 years in prison. He was often tortured by political head Dai Xueyi.

Since Zhang Quanmin was promoted to be the deputy head of Lanzhou Prison in 2010, the persecution against practitioners has become even more intense. Section head Zhao Jun and guard Gao Xuefeng praised prisoner Xu Hongtai for torturing practitioner Mr. Cui Yonglin. Xu Hongtai persecuted practitioners by handcuffing them and shocking them with electric batons. While torturing Mr. Cui Yonglin, Xu beat and kicked him, shocked him with an electric baton and forced him to stand still.
