(Clearwisdom.net) May 13, 2011 marked the 12^th Anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day and its founder Master Li Hongzhi's 60^th birthday. On May 8 and May 14, Falun Dafa practitioners in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany held activities at the Rhine riverbank in Koln and the central railway station in Dusseldorf to demonstrate the exercises, promote the practice and clarify the truth about the persecution in China.

On Sunday, May 8, 2011, Falun Dafa practitioners gathered at the Rhine riverbank in Koln. They put on golden yellow exercise suits and stood in rows to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises with music. The peaceful and elegant movements, soothing music and eye-catching color drew many people to stop and watch the demonstration and take photos.

On Saturday, May 14, as participants from 43 countries came to Dusseldorf to the finals of a European vocal contest, the traffic at the central railway station was more than twice as much as usual. The practitioners demonstrated the exercises at the square in front of the railway station, and passed out truth-clarification materials to passersby. Many people took the fliers. When they learned about the persecution in China, many signed the petition to support Falun Gong and condemn the Chinese Communist Party.

Some of the visitors also wanted to learn the exercises. Simon is a mechanical engineer and has practiced Tai-chi for years. He watched the exercise demonstration for a long time and said, “I can feel the energy, even though I have not done anything yet. I can tell that this exercise is better than the Tai-chi and martial arts I learned before.”

When he was asked if he knew Falun Gong was persecuted in China, he answered, “China is a very good country, but the government is a tyranny. I used to be a follower of Mao but now I am absolutely not.”

Regarding the persecution of Falun Gong in China, he said, “Those people (demonstrating the exercises) didn't hurt anyone. This is a democratic country, a free country. I have the courage to learn the exercises. I can feel their energy is strong and pure. I have already got the contact information and address.”
