(Clearwisdom.net) On March 17, 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Yungang's body was cremated after he was tortured to death in Jiamusi Prison on March 5. The prison only let Mr. Yu's immediate family members attend his memorial service.
Since the deaths of Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Qin Yueming, Mr. Yu Yungang and Mr. Liu Chuanjiang were exposed, the Jiamusi Prison, the National Security Team, the police, and the Community Management have been monitoring Mr. Yu's family. The home phones of Mr. Yu's brothers and sister have been tapped. Plainclothes officers monitor the residential buildings where they live around the clock. They are followed wherever they go.
Mr. Yu's family has been under great pressure and have reached the limits of distress, terror, and endurance. Knowing Mr. Yu was killed in the prison, Mr. Yu's elder brother signed the paper approving the cremation of the body.
According to sources, Jiamusi Prison authorities were satisfied to be able to cremate Mr. Yu Yungang's and Mr. Liu Chuanjiang's bodies.
To force practitioners to renounce Falun Gong, Jiamusi Prison set up the “Strict Management Ward” in February 2011. The operation of this ward started on February 21. Mr. Qin Yueming, 47, died five days later on February 26. Mr. Yu Yungang, 48, died on March 5, and Mr. Liu Chuanjiang, 55, on March 8.
