Multiple Reports Indicate that Drug Torture is Widely Used to Silence Falun Gong in China

April 26, 2011 |   By Feiyu

(Clearwisdom.net) The extent of the use of drug torture to silence and even kill Falun Gong practitioners in communist China appears to be increasing. This is suggested by numerous reports recently filed with the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. The following presents brief summaries of just some of these reports.

1.   The article “Massacre at Sichuan Jianyang Women's Prison: We will send you home to die.” (http://minghui.ca/mh/articles/2011/3/22/237936.html) reports how three Falun Dafa practitioners were poisoned by drugs in Jianyang Women's Prison. The three were Ms. Li Yuhua from Yancheng Township, Leshan City, Sichuan Province., Ms. Hu Guifang from Caochi Town, Jianyang and Ms. Meng Xiao from Chengdu.

In the case of Ms. Li, she was injected with undisclosed drugs that made her body so swollen that she was at death's door. Prison police saw that she was dying so they sent her home so they would not have to bear responsibility for her untimely death. Prison officials instructed her family to come and get her on June 16, 2009, and she passed away five days later at home.

Torture re-enactment: Giving poisonous injections

2.   Another article titled “Bi Jianhong is on the verge of death after receiving injections of unspecified drugs at Jinan Women's Prison” (http://minghui.ca/mh/articles/2011/3/22/237917.html) told a similar story. Practitioner Ms. Bi Jianhong from Yantai, Shandong province protested the illegal persecution by staging a hunger strike. It is not known what exactly was in the injections she was given against her will at the hospital. She reportedly felt strange all over and could not walk.

On January 26, 2011, her family went to visit her and noticed that she did not look like herself. Her family requested that she be allowed to go home. When she really became ill the 610 Officeof Yantai and the prison tried to shirk responsibility for her rapidly deteriorating condition and on March 17, prison officials called her family and said she was not feeling well. Her family went straight to the prison the same day and found that all of Bi Jianhong's body organs were in failure and she was dying.

While her family members were very worried and crying out loud in the prison, officers prepared some chicken soup and asked her family member to feed her. The officers already knew that Bi Jianhong could not even take water by that time, but they wanted to have the opportunity to videotape the scene they had staged, shamelessly claiming, “We tried our best. We took great care of her.”

3.   The article “Longhua County Detention Center in Hebei Province Poisoned Practitioner Ms. Jia Suxia With Unknown Drugs” (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/4/5/124232.html) reveals that Jia Suxia and other Falun Gong practitioners held a joint hunger strike to protest the persecution they faced while imprisoned in 2005. The staff force-fed the hunger strikers with a highly concentrated salt solution laced with unknown drugs.

On July 27, staff dragged Jia Suxia and other Falun Gong practitioners out to administer injections. A practitioner standing directly behind an official named Wang as he explained to Dr. Xu, “It took me half a month to get this medicine. The drug maker gave it to me after I swore to them that I would take it as is and they would never take any responsibility at all if there is any life threat.” It is not known exactly what the drug was, but clearly from his words it must have been dangerous.

The detention center gave Jia Suxia two injections of this medicine. The 2nd time she reacted with painful and frightening symptoms. She was hot all over, had feelings of increased anxiety and felt sharp pains on her skin. About a year later, Jia Suxia shed a layer of crusted skin and then, all areas of her skin shed one to two layers more.

It seems that CCP authorities force feed Falun Dafa practitioners drugs for two reasons. One is as a form of torture. The second is to test unproven new drugs. The common theme is that all of the drugs in question can be harmful.

4.   In the article “Woman Farmer Disabled by Forced Injection at Tangyuan County Detention Center in Heilongjiang Province” (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/4/6/124251.html), Ms. Song Huilan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xinhua Farm, Heilongjiang province, was detained at Tangyuan Detention Center in December 2010. Yan Yong was the vice director of the detention center. Staff members included a person with the last name of Cai, another person’s last name was Li, and also an instructor whose name was Yang Li. They held Song Huilan and injected her with various drugs. As a result, Song Huilan felt extreme pain all over and tried her hardest to escape further injections. Soon after, her right foot turned black and become swollen. She could not walk and was paralyzed.

The detention center doctor advised the police to take Song Huilan to Tangyuan People's Hospital to have a check up. She was diagnosed with a serious case of arterial thrombosis. The doctor said, “The best option would be to amputate immediately otherwise it would spread to the rest of body, which would put her life in danger. Even spending tens of thousands of yuan, one might not be able to cure it.”

In order to avoid taking any responsibility, the detention center would not pay for the medical bills and they hid Song Huilan's illness condition from her family. Three months later on March 1, 2011, they called her family and asked them to take Song Huilan home.

From the above four articles, we can tell how the CCP used new and un-registered drugs to test out and brutally torture Dafa practitioners. Such reports are quite common on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website.

5. On March 20, 2011, another report was published. In the article of “Tianjing '610 Office' Persecutes a Female Engineer again,” (http://minghui.ca/mh/articles/2011/3/20/237851.html) it reports how Ms. Gu Xueshuang, an engineer from Binhai Heating Company of Tianjin was arrested on February 25, 2010 and was detained at Zhaojiadi Detention Center of Tanggu District. During her detention the police gave her a physical exam, declared she had an illness and admitted her to Tanggu Hospital. They handcuffed her to the bed and gave her an injection while forcing her to swallow an unknown medicine. Thins made her head and all body joints ache. She also had other symptoms such as numbness of mouth and tongue, being mentally confused and hallucinating.

When Gu Xueshuang accused the police who forced the poisonous drugs on her, the police took out a totally different medicine and said, “This is not poisonous drug at all.” However someone heard that a doctor wearing glasses told several policemen that using such types of medicine was extremely dangerous and the person would need to be monitored twenty-four hours. A police who saw the check-up results after they measured Gu Xueshuang's blood pressure and heart beat, said: “This person would have already died if this had happened to an ordinary person.”

Gu Xuashuang, who was dying, was sent home early so the prison could avoid responsibility. Her family noticed that Gu Xueshuang was extremely weak and skinny. She kept vomiting and having diarrhea. Her body was severely swollen. She could not eat anything or drink water, neither was she able to talk.

6.    Li Jiabin from Sichuan Province was killed as a result of being force-fed some unknown drug. (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/3/17/123860.html) Mr. Li Jiabin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province, was injected with unknown drugs while being detained at Shuangliu Detention Center. When he was thirsty, they would not give him water until he first drank the drug. Li Jiabin refused to take the drug so the police ordered other inmates to force it into him. Li Jiabin had ulcerations through out his whole body. When the police realized that Li Jiabin was dying, they sent him home to avoid bearing responsibility. After returning home, Li Jiabin painfully passed away on May 16, 2005.

7.    In the article of “Summary of Cases of Falun Gong Practitioners in Beijing Who Have Died as a Result of Government Authorized Torture Since 1999” (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/4/5/124230.html) there were five practitioners who had proved to be persecuted to death by drugs. Among them was Mr. Li Shouqiang, a worker from Beijing Auto Assembly Plant. In March 2000, Li Shouqiang was only detained at Changping Detention Center for ten days. His family received a notice to pick him up. While his elder brother carried him on a bike, Li Shouqiang said in a vague tone, off and on, “They gave me some kind of medicine and put some drug in the coke... They would not allow me to drink water... after drinking the medicine I could not spit it out. They said they would I die in two days... They asked you to take me home to die and so they will not be responsible for my death.”

After returning home, Li Shouqiang became clear one moment and then confused the next. He had slow eye movement and his thinking was scattered and he would not eat or drink anything. Two days later on March 20, in the morning, Li Shouqiang fell from the balcony and died. He was only 37 years old.

Drug torture is only one form of persecution used to “handle” Falun Gong. The many articles published on this topic suggest the widespread use of drug torture in this inhumane persecution orchestrated by the CCP.
