April 13, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Yufang, once a colon cancer patient, recovered her health through practicing Falun Gong. After the CCP began to persecute Falun Gong, she was arrested numerous times. Forced drug injection at the Jamusi Detention Center led to her paralysis and memory loss. After release, Ms. Wang resumed practicing the Falun Gong exercises and regained her health. Below is her statement relating to this experience.

“My name is Wang Yufang and I am 48 years old. When as a widow I was diagnosed with colon cancer, my child had just turned three. After I began practicing Falun Gong in December 1998, the colon cancer miraculously disappeared.”

Arrest when appealing in Beijing

“Since the CCP media began to defame Falun Gong in July 1999 I have been stepping forward to tell the facts. When I went to Beijing to appeal in August 1999 and stayed in a hotel, someone reported me to the police. Police agents arrested and took me to Jiamusi City Liaison Office in Beijing. Officials then transferred me to the Xiangyang Police Department in Jiamusi City and later held me at the Jiamusi Detention Center.”

Arrest and extorting money from family when attending experience-sharing conference in Guangzhou

“I attended an experience-sharing conference at Guangzhou City in 1999. One day many armed police agents suddenly showed up in our rental apartment. When one male practitioner slightly moved, an agent beat him down. The practitioner lay on the floor in pain and could not move. When the agent was trying to strike him again, I looked him in the eye and said, 'How can you beat a person like this?' and he stopped. “The agents forced us into a police van and sent us to the Tianhe Detention Center in Guangzhou City. We were forced to do slave labor; any slowdown would make the captors curse us. Officials eventually sent me back to Jiamusi City and extorted 5,000 Yuan from my family.”

Brutal torture at suburban Jiamusi Police Department

“When I attended an experience sharing conference at Sifeng Mountain on June 2, 2000, police agents arrested and took me to the Jiamusi Detention Center. They covered my head and took me to an unknown place for interrogation. They forced me into a metal chair. An agent grabbed me by the hair with one hand, and struck my neck hard with the other hand. The pain was beyond description. They also tortured me with a method called 'Flying an Airplane.'

“The torture made me have a heart attack. An agent took me to the Jiamusi Central Hospital for emergency care while watching me 24 hours a day. Simply for providing me with food, practitioner Ma Xiaohua was arrested and sent to a labor camp.”

Hunger strike at labor camp

“Jiamusi Police Department agent Gao Zhilun arrested me in May 2001 when I was walking in the street and sent me to the notorious Xigemu Labor Camp in Jiamusi City. The officials released me after I went on a hunger strike to protest.”

Paralysis and memory loss from forced drug injection at detention center

“After someone reported me to the police in 2003, Chen Wanyou from the city police department as well as agents from the Yongan Police Station arrested and took me to the Jiamusi Detention Center where I was tortured. Due to the torture, my arms and legs were damaged. I was unable to move. In addition, Chen ordered a prison doctor surnamed Zhang to administer drugs, which led to my memory loss.

“Following the forced injection with nerve-damaging drugs at the detention center I was paralyzed.

Qianjin District Court officials nonetheless sentenced me to imprisonment of three years and sent me to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison. After a prison doctor and several police agents took me to a hospital for a physical checkup, the prison officials refused to accept me. I was sent back to the Jiamusi Detention Center and released the next day.

“Once at home I continued to study the Fa and do the exercises. Miraculously, I soon regained my health. I am very grateful for Falun Gong.”
