(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, six practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Guifang Died after Suffering Blindness Resulting from Injection of Unknown Substance in Labor Camp
Ms. Hu Guifang, in her seventies, lived in Caochi Town, Jianyang City. She endured years of persecution and developed symptoms of serious illness. She passed away in December 2010.
After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, Ms. Hu was held at the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Ziyang City. She was later transferred to the Yangmahe Forced Labor Camp, where she was injected with an unknown substance. She was released only because her life was in imminent danger. After she returned home, she lost eyesight in both eyes. Whenever she ate, she passed out. She never regained control of bladder and bowel movements up to her death.
2. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Yufeng Taken Back to Yilan County after Denial of Admission at Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Wang Yufeng, from Sandaogang Town in Yilan County, was arrested by officers from the Daotaiqiao Police Station in Yilan County while telling others about the persecution on January 12, 2011. He was detained at the Yilan County Detention Center for 15 days. On January 13, officers from the Yilan County Domestic Security Division searched his home. The police demanded several thousand yuan from his family in exchange for his release. His family did not turn in money. The police sentenced him to one year of forced labor. After spending 15 days in the detention center, Mr. Wang was taken to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp on January 27. Labor camp officials denied his admission after he failed to pass a physical examination. Mr. Wang has been taken back to Yilan County. He is being held at the Yilan County No. 2 Detention Center.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Zhaoxia and Her Sister Ms. Hu Zhaohong Arrested
Ms. Hu Zhaoxia, around 40 years old, is from Acheng District in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. On the morning of January 25, 2011, she was arrested at work by security officials of her work unit and officers from the Fuyu County Police Department in Qiqihar City. She was taken to Fuyu County. It was reported that her sister Ms. Hu Zhaohong was arrested in Fuyu County the previous day.
4. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Xiulan and Ms. Liu Xiuzhi Arrested
Ms. Tian Xiulan and Ms. Liu Xiuzhi, residents of West Linggang District in Lingyuan City, went out to tell the public the facts about Falun Dafa on the morning of January 25, 2011. Officers from the Songzhangzi Police Station arrested them. The two practitioners are being held at the Lingyuan City Public Order Detention Center.

5. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qiu Shuyun Arrested
Ms. Qiu Shuyun was arrested in January 2011 while giving out truth clarification brochures near the Baishan City Chinese Medicine Hospital. The police searched her home. She is being held at the Baishan City Detention Center.

6. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Yingchun in Critical Condition at Hospital Affiliated with Shenyang Women's Prison Complex
Ms. Zhou Yingchun has been held at the prison hospital affiliated with the Shenyang Women's Prison Complex since receiving her illegal sentence. Each time her family went to visit her, she was carried out by four people on a stretcher. Recently, when her mother went to visit her, she was emaciated and did not have much strength when speaking. She said only a couple of words to her mother then closed her eyes and did not talk.

7. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cai Xiuying and Two Other Practitioners Arrested Again
On the evening of January 8, 2011, Ms. Cai Xiuying, Ms. Han Shuju and another practitioner with the surname Jin, all from Heihe City, drove to the countryside to distribute truth clarification materials. They were turned in to the police and arrested. Later, the three practitioners were released. Ms. Cai is head of the propaganda section of the Propaganda Department in Heihe City. Ms. Han is an accountant at the Water Affairs Department of Aihui District in Heihe City. On January 24, the three practitioners were taken into police custody again.

10. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Wei Harassed at Home
Two police officers arrived at Mr. Li Wei's home at noon on January 17, 2011 and pounded on the door. Mr. Li lives in Weiguoyuan Residential Community in Jiangbei District, Huizhou City. The officers then called both his cellular phone and his landline at home to continue to harass him.
Mr. Li has been taken to forced labor camps twice. His mother, in her seventies, was taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center for several months.
Two months ago, a group of people from the Huizhou City 610 Office came banging on his door. They shouted Mr. Li's as well as his mother's name.
11. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shuxin Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shuxin, a practitioner from Qishan Town in Zhaoyuan City, was arrested by officers from the Qishan Town Police Station while posting Falun Dafa materials in the street on January 27, 2011. Members of the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office searched her home that afternoon. The police confiscated several Falun Dafa books. Ms. Zhang is being held at the Zhaoyuan City Brainwashing Center.

The police took eight sets of Falun Dafa books and 40 copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party when they searched Mr. Rao Chongqing's home. They also took five gold rings, one gold necklace and one gold bracelet.
13. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Liu Jinxiang, a PhD Graduate, Arrested in Dalian City, Liaoning Province
Mr. Liu Jinxiang worked at the Dalian Chemical and Physical Research Institute after receiving his PhD. He was arrested recently while clarifying the truth in Dalian City. He is being held at the Yaogong Street Detention Center in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province.
