(Clearwisdom.net) Deyang Prison officials recently deceived Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Luo Chaoming who had been released on medical parole into going to the prison by claiming to be “making up for health checkup data,” and then held him in custody. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents had previously arrested Mr. Luo for spreading information about Falun Gong and illegally sentenced him to imprisonment. Severe physical abuse and mistreatment in prison resulted in Mr. Luo being in a life-threatening condition. He was released on medical parole and he began to recover through practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Luo Chaoming was illegally arrested on March 7, 2008 by officers from Da County State Security Division. He was later held in the Xuanhan County Detention Center. While detained, Da County Domestic Security Division head Du Pengfei and Pan Junlan interrogated Mr. Luo several times at night. Mr. Luo refused to cooperate with them, so Du Pengfei and others persecuted him more intensely. The perpetrators beat Mr. Luo, forced him to stand for extended periods of time, deprived him of sleep, and later forced him to sleep on wet floors for several months.

On November 18, 2008, Da County Court officials sentenced Mr. Luo to four years in prison. He was taken to the Deyang City Prison on January 17, 2009. One week later, Mr. Luo suddenly developed high blood pressure, heart disease, and pericardial effusion (accumulation of excess fluid around the heart). He was in critical condition and was admitted to the Sichuan Province Armed Police Officers' Hospital. The prison officials informed his family and released him on medical parole on March 30, 2009.

Mr. Luo was on the verge of death when he returned home. Excess fluid had accumulated around his heart and in his abdomen. He was sent to the hospital. The doctors announced several times that Mr. Luo was in critical condition. Nevertheless, Mr. Luo gradually recovered through studying Falun Gong teachings and doing the Falun Gong exercises.

On August 26, 2010, Deyang Prison officials forcibly took Mr. Luo back to the prison in order to “welcome inspection from higher-up officials.” He was released on September 27, 2010. The prison officials notified Mr. Luo on January 11, 2011 to come to the prison for a physical checkup. Later, they claimed that his heart problem was cured, but he still had high blood pressure (120-220), and they released him that same day. On January 23, 2011, a prison official ordered him to come to the prison again to make up for checkup data. Mr. Luo went to the prison the next day, but has not returned home since. The prison officials told his family that he had recovered from his heart problem, but is suffering from high blood pressure, however he can't be granted a medical parole. Thus, Mr. Luo has been imprisoned again. His family is extremely worried about his condition.
